The purpose of this paper is to investigate the process of transferring information from science to "the field" of environmental protection in Sweden. I have studied four Swedish environmental organizations, Greenpeace Nordic, WWF Sweden, the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation and Friends of the Earth Sweden to see how they search/get information. I have also studied the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and its role as sender of information, since it is the authority which is responsible for environmental information in Sweden. I have used information and communication theories as a help to analyse my results. While working on this paper I realized that my methods were not the best.

This report looks at the possibility of designing a universal adapter for Flat Blade windshield wipers in cooperation with European Automotive Supplier AB.To understand and see if this is possible, a research and an extensive patent search where done. Then to add structure to the project a Ganttschematic were developed. To generate good and solid ideas, different methods for product development were looked upon.When a method was chosen and applied, a series of concepts emerged. Now the focus was to design and construct all the pieces. The desired manufacture procedures were looked upon as well as materials.

2004, the SSR, Akademikerförbundet, made a study on the threats and violence as a social secretary in the municipal social services are exposed in their occupation of the "social secretary of threats and violence at work" (T-110192), conducted by Temo ab. We have chosen to use the study on a smaller scale and then made contact with five municipalities in the middle of Sweden to investigate social secretaries experiences of threats and violence. Using the cross-sectional design and a convenience sample, we have gained access to data from 56 people. From a sociological perspective, we have chosen to use Norbert Elias theory of universal configuration and interdependence, and Michel Foucault?s theories concerning power search explanation for the existence of threats and violent situations in the contact between social workers and their clients..

Aligning parallell terms in a parallell corpus can be done by aligning all words and phrases in the corpus and then performing term extraction on the aligned set of word pairs. Alternatively, term extraction in the source and target text can be made separately and then the resulting term candidates can be aligned, forming aligned parallell terms. This thesis describes an implementation of a word aligner that is applied on extracted term candidates in both the source and the target texts. The term aligner uses statistical measures, the tool Giza++ and heuristics in the search for alignments. The evaluation reveals that the best results are obtained when the term alignment relies heavily on the Giza++ tool and Levenshtein heuristic..

Vi ville i vårt examensarbete undersöka om och hur elever på el- och energiprogrammet söker information på internet,samt använder sig av källkritisk analys och hur bra lärarna anser att de klarar denna uppgift. Vi sökte även svar på i vilken utsträckning eleverna undervisas i källkritik och hur de upplever att de fått undervisning i källkritik, samt vilka kunskaper de undervisade lärarna anser sig ha i ämnet och hur viktig de anser att undervisning i källkritik är. I vår undersökning har vi även jämfört om elever och lärares åsikter samstämmer eller ej. Undersökningen baserades på tio elevintervjuer samt fem lärarintervjuer. Intervjuerna har analyserats kvalitativt varefter de sammanställdes. Throughout the years the Swedish local history societies have collected a large quantity of material, consisting of photos, documents and items, among others. As the society has become more computerized, the need has increased for these collections to become digitalized. This is a way to make their media more easily accessible to the general public, but also to easily be able to archive and preserve for example photos and videos electronically.This thesis concerns itself with the work we have done for the local history society of Nyed in Molkom. The task set before us consisted of creating both a website for the society, and a reliable database from witch the website draws its information. This project allows anyone with administrator privileges to upload new files and any additional information.

Almost every commercial in television nowadays aim to sell a product or service. This researchpresents two big actors in the grocery chain and their respective commercials. The two actors thatare presented in this research are Lidl and Coop. Both Lidl and Coop are among the largest grocerychains in Sweden. By examine two commercials from each company we aim to find how theircommercials are structured.

Ordet spel och dess betydelse är svårt att beskriva. Spel har många definitioner och studien kommer därför att använda ordet spel för att beskriva applikationer, datorspel, hemsidor och geografiska verktyg. Jag är uppmärksammad på att det finns stora skillnader mellan datorspel och exempelvis Google Earth och har inte som avsikt att klassificera dessa som samma. Dock kommer samtliga att beskrivas som spel eller teknologi, främst för att det underlättar läsningen. Idag använder allt fler personer dator och Internet.

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att undersöka dokumentationen av barns smärtminne och copingstrategier vid smärta ur ett sjukgymnastiskt perspektiv. Vetenskapliga publikationer har sökts via databaserna PubMed och Academic Search. Granskningen resulterade i 24 artiklar som kom att ingå i vår litteraturstudie. Dessutom ingår övrig facklitteratur som handlar om barns smärta. Studierna visade att barn har ett väl utvecklat smärtminne och detta kan ha konsekvenser senare i livet vid kontakt med sjukvården.

The goal of this project was to create the music video for swedish pop/rockband Antennas? single Youngbloods, from their album Feeling Feline Tonight(2009). The video was made through animation, collages, photography andillustration. The main focus for the video was to create an independent visualstory and to implement an investigation of how different technics for creatingand documenting images and motion result in different interpretations of thecontent. The work was characterized by an active search for contrasts andcontradictions.My approach to the project was to work with a child?s curiosity, but withthe discipline of an adult.

In this project I have worked with porcelain och and porcelain decors. The project was based on questions like why porcelain is such a richly decorated product and how you can maka a shape and a decor feel like a entirety. In December 2009 I went to China in search for answers and to study porcelain decors. This trip has been my inspiration throughout the whole project and also the main theme for the idea, the shape and the decor. That is why I decided to make a teacup with a plate that also has a function as a lid.As I first started working with the shape I was thinking to make a rounded teacup, inspired by the chinese rice bowls, but since I had to produce the porcelain by myself I decided to make a much more simple shape.
