Allteftersom 3d-animerade produktioner blir alltmer vanliga både i film och i TV-produktioner och datorer blir kraftfullare varje år: så börjar realtidsrendering bli mer och mer aktuellt. I detta examensarbete kommer jag främst att koncentrera mig på att skapa koncept, modellering, texturering, behandling av material och ljussättning av en prototypkaraktär där målet är att se om det går att uppnå en så pass hög kvalité på det visuella, att det går att använda i en professionell produktion och om detta inte uppnås: ta reda på vad som saknas. Resultatet är en karaktärsmodell med en tecknad visuell stil med tillhörande återanvändbart material, som förhoppningsvis ser tillräckligt bra ut för att kunna användas i till exempel ett animerat barnprogram på TV.

Molnlagringstjänster används alltmer och är en växande marknad. Uppsatsen har fokuserat på att undersöka olika molnlagringstjänster ur ett hastighetsperspektiv. När små filer utbyts mellan klient och server har hastigheten på överföringen en mindre betydelse. Vid större överföringar får hastighetsaspekten en alltmer viktig roll.Regelbundna hastighetsmätningar har utförts mot de mest populära molnlagringstjänsterna. Testerna har utförts från Sverige och USA.

The purpose with this thesis is to get a compilation of all the critical bolted joints of all enginesproduced at LV Motors. ABB LV Motors produces induction engines with seven shaft heights. Eachengine size exists several variants of components ex. standard shield and flange shield. Depending onwhich components the engine is equipped with arises various types of strains in the engine's parts,certain assembly ways are more favourable than other.The most critical parts in the engine from a mechanical point of view are the screw units betweenshield/stator, feet/stator and bearing cover/shield.

Stress på arbetsplatsen relaterat till många inkommande och utgående kommunikationskanaler är ett reellt problem. Applikationer som samlar alla kanaler i samma verktyg kan hjälpa till på det här området. För att förenkla vid utveckling av en sådan applikation kan ett modulärt system skapas, där varje modul ser liknande ut och enkelt kan kopplas in i en huvudapplikation. Den här studien undersöker de problem som kan uppstå när flera tjänster ska integreras, mer specifikt genom att titta på hur en befintlig modul för e-post via Google Apps kan porteras för att stödja e-post via Microsoft Office 365. Arbetet har skett enligt metoder för testdriven portering och varje steg i porteringen har dokumenterats noggrant.

This thesis is focusing on how global and local search engines retrieve information from the local domain. The three search engines tested are the global search engines Yahoo, Ask.com and the local search engine Web Wombat. The questions we examined were: which search engine has the best retrieval effectiveness? Could there be other reasons than retrieval effectiveness, to choosing a local search engine?For our test we constructed 20 questions related to Australia.We chose to divide the questions into topics like nature, sports and culture. For all questions we evaluated the relevance of the first 20 hits.

Uppsatsen behandlar sökmotoroptimering gällande Google. En litteraturstudie görs för att besvara vilka metoder som är de mest effektiva för ett så bra träffresultat som möjligt samt vilka metoder som Google inte anser följer deras riktlinjer. En empirisk studie görs även genom att skicka ut ett antal frågor om sökmotoroptimering till SEO-konsulter i Sverige. Ett antal ?on-page?-metoder och ?off-page?-metoder redovisas samt även ett antal tveksamma metoder.

The web has made an incredible amount of unorganized information available to anyone. There are search engines that help us structuring the information, but it is still difficult to find what you search for on the web. The purpose of this master's thesis is to investigate whether the already existing techniques for automatic indexing are suited for the new information retrieval context on the web and how the choice to support these techniques, or not, affects the search results. This is examined through a literature study on automatic indexing and other related concepts, such as information retrieval and information searching on the web in order to get a theoretical frame to the work and by an observation of the search engine HotBot to approach the purpose of the thesis. The observation is carried out by searching HotBot's database and investigating the search results in order to try to identify patterns that can reveal something about how HotBot's automatic indexing is done.

The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the design and function of an engine production management?s control system and its intended function, and to contrast it with the present management control systems in use on an operational level. Interviews conducted with employees from all levels of the engine production are the main source of this study?s empirical foundation. Information has also been gathered from relevant written material such as annual reports, internal documents etc.

Syftet med rapporten var att vi skulle få mer kunskap kring sökmotoroptimering speciellt inriktad på Googles sökmotortjänst. Vi ville ta reda på hur man kan rankas så högt upp som möjligt på sökresultatssidan för specifika sökord. Då vi har läst webbprogrammering i nästan tre år utan att utbildningen gett oss några direkta kunskaper kring sökmotoroptimering föll detta som ett lämpligt val att fördjupa oss i.

ABSTRACTThis project thesis has been written at the request of Mälardalens University, Västerås.The aeronautical engineering students at Mälardalens University and the pupils of Hässlö upper secondary school, all gets the opportunity to perform a computation lab with a real turbojet engine during their study. The goal of the lab from the University is that it should give the students applied experience from the theory part of which has been tought in the course ?Aircraft Engine Technology?.                      The pupils of the Hässlö upper secondary school are performing simpler calculations from the measured values of the equipment. This turbojet engine is located at Hässlö airport in the premises of Hässlö upper seconday school.Since the installation 1989, the engine has lost both thrust and reliability. This makes the theoretical computations made by the students inaccurate.

To achieve the requirements to decrease emissions of greenhouse gases by 20 % by 2020, Swedenneeds to increase its use of bioenergy. In doing so it seems natural that those who already haveaccess to large amounts of biofuels in the form of by-products such as straw, wood chips anddigestible materials take advantage of these assets locally. By combining production of heat withpower production at the farm it may be possible to not only reduce the direct use of fossil fuel forheating but also reduce energy costs.The purpose was to simulate different cases of using a small scale biofueled combined heat andpower plant for farm-based systems. A MatLab-model was developed and used to draw conclusionsabout the costs for production of heat and electricity with different conversion technologies.The model uses climate data to simulate the variations in heat energy demand on a day-to-day basis.The given heat demand is the base of the simulation and from this the possible electric output iscalculated. This study has focused on the impact of the following properties: electric-, heat- andtotal efficiency, fuel, fuel price and specific fuel requirements.

This report describes the results of the project "Concept development of jet engine inspection plugs" carried out in the spring of 2008. The work was done at the department of product definition at the company Volvo Aero in Trollhättan. The objective of the work was to develop concepts for a "Volvo-unique" inspection plug. The work is part of Volvo Aero's focus on proprietary (self-developed) technologies. Inspection plugs can be found on virtually all aircraft engines and gas turbines.

The environmental requirements and laws on combustion engine emissions are very tough today andthey will become even more stringent in the future. To achieve these requirements there are highdemands on the control systems for these engines. An improved precision in the measurement of anengine's speed and position gives the electronic control system an even better timing when it comes tofuel injection and ignition. This makes the engine more fuel efficient, reducing the emissions. This thesisis part of a collaborative project between Hoerbiger Control Systems and subsidiaries.

Bakom uppsatsen finns ett genuint intresse för kartmedier samt funderingen om kartan genomgår en evolution till att bli ett digitalt och interaktivt medium. I aktuella styrdokument för gymnasiegeogra-fin framgår att såväl kartor som GIS skall finnas med i undervisningen, motiveringen är dock bristfäl-lig. I syftet väcktes därför frågor om vilka belägg som fanns för digitala undervisningsmetoder inom geografi? Syftet kondenserades till frågeställningarna: Vad skrivs i litteraturen om digitalt lärande i geografi i allmänhet? Vad skrivs i litteraturen om att använda digitala kartor och programmet Google Earth i undervisningen i synnerhet? Hur svenska geografilärare ser på samt i vilken omfattning de använder digitala kartmedier? För att besvara frågorna genomfördes en litteraturstudie samt en en-kätundersökning. Litteraturstudieresultatet visade främst två saker.
