Purpose: The study examines how the New Years review in Karlskrona markets their show and if their promotionmix has been successful. The study also answers the question of which age group the review interests.

A passive house in Norra Djurgårdsstaden drawn by Tengbom Arkitekter is going to be built. A shaft for airing is needed for a few apartments in the house.The airing shaft is designed for a few two room apartments in the house, which are not able to achieve satisfactory airing, as their outer walls are facing a single direction. The other apartments on the same floor are corner apartments. These apartments do not have the same difficulty with airing since they have their outer walls in different directions, with different pressures at the facades. The airflow in the airing shaft is supposed to be driven only by natural forces, by the sun. The purpose of natural driven forces is to achieve low energy consumption for the house.In this thesis, a design of the shaft for airing has been developed.Initially an open shaft for all apartments was analyzed.

Skapande och kommunikation av varumärkespersonlighet i svenska klädbranschen

The purpose with this thesis is to investigate how Swedish clothing companies create and communicate a personality for their brand. Case studies were conducted with three companies: Nudie Jeans, Koppartrans and J.Lindeberg. These firms can be considered as established clothing brands nationally as well as internationally. The study found that individualism, logotype and moral standpoints play an important role in the creation and the communication of a brand?s personality.

Produktplacering i bloggar : Vägen till generation Y!

I dagens samhälle blir människan utsatt för mer information än någonsin tidigare. Företagen konkurrerar om att just deras budskap ska nå fram till konsumenten för att skapa den påverkan som i slutändan resulterar i konsumtion och som företagen tjänar sina pengar genom.Företagen har inte bara problem att sticka ut bland all övrig marknadskommunikation, människor blir även allt bättre på att sålla ut den information de själva är intresserade av. En av de största svårigheterna i sin kommunikation har företagen fått med den generation som precis ska kliva in i vuxenvärlden, de som är födda mellan 1977 och 1994 vilka varit uppvuxna med en ständig ström av information. Denna generation kallas för generation Y och är individer som utvecklat ett kritiskt sätt att sålla bland information och i synnerhet traditionell reklam. Detta tvingar företagen att finna nya vägar för att kunna påverka denna kräsna generation som ses som en viktig framtida konsument.Denna uppsats hade därför som syfte att undersöka en ny möjlig väg för företagen att komma åt generation Y på varpå en frågeställning har upprättats som lyder: Hur kan generation Y påverkas av produktplacering i bloggar?Produktplacering i bloggar var av stort intresse att utforska då generationen består av de människor som är mest aktiv på sociala medier och som läser flest bloggar.

The purpose of this essay is to examine the development of the use of private securitycontractors in Iraq. The reason is that there has been a considerable increase of the number ofprivate security firms operating in Iraq during the last couple of years. The legislation in thefield of private military and security is indistinct and my hypothesis is that the lack of nationaland/or international legislation can be connected to the increased globalization. To come toany conclusions about this I have chosen to make a comparative study between the two casesthe Gulf War and the War in Iraq which started in 2003. In this comparison, I ask thefollowing questions: 1) Are there any signs of anarchy in the field of private security duringthe Gulf War respectively the last War in Iraq? 2) In what way has the use of private securitycontractors changed from Case 1 to Case 2 ?According to my research, there were signs of anarchy in the field of private security bothduring the Gulf War and during the latest war in Iraq.

Smittsam provokation: En studie kring effekterna av provocerande reklam och hur dessa kan hanteras

The challenge that companies currently face in their attempts to break through the media clutter has resulted in an increased use of provocative advertising worldwide. History shows that this strategy can result in a brand crisis due to negative consumer sentiment. Despite this fact, advertisement generated crisis remain a relatively unexplored field in the academic world of marketing. The objective of this thesis is to further explore crisis creation from provocative advertising, evaluate the affiliated negative consumer consequences, and to examine the effects of two contrasting company strategies to remedy these types of crisis situations. An experiment was conducted on Swedish and Norwegian students in order to examine whether the communication and information sharing between the target consumers and others could explain the development and consequences of provocative advertisement crisis due to its psychological effects.

The phenomenon of media convergence can be traced back to the birth of the internet, and today all of the major newspapers have a website of their own. As a result of multichannel publishing, consumers have a wide range of tv channels to choose from, but there is still uncertainty as to whether more channels automatically equates to more and better news. There is no doubt about the fact that multi channel publishing is a necessary survival skill for media conglomerates today, but effects such as news recycling and the concentration of ownership are in conflict with the consumers? availability demands.Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to, by means of a case study, describe how NT?s multi channel publishing is an expression of media convergence, as well as to study how the news are affected by multi channel publishing.Research procedure: This study is based on three different research methods, observations, text analyses and qualitative interviews.

Generation y ? på gott och ont! En kvalitativ studie om organisationers upplevelser av den nya generationens attityder och värderingar i arbetslivet 2007

Denna studie har genomförts för att skapa större förståelse för hur generation y uppfattas i arbetslivet. Det har gjorts utifrån tre teman: Vad som karaktäriserar generationen, hur man leder dem samt vilka utmaningar organisationerna står inför i och med den nya generationens intåg på arbetsmarknaden. Detta gjordes genom en kvalitativ studie i form av tre semistrukturerade intervjuer med fyra personer med personalansvar fördelade på tre olika organisationer. Resultatet av studien visar att organisationerna till stor del har negativa uppfattningar av generation y i arbetslivet, men påpekar även att det till viss del handlar om mognad och att den nya generationen kommer att ändra sina attityder och värderingar med tiden. Den största utmaningen man såg med den nya generationen var att attrahera dem till att vilja jobba i just deras organisation.

This thesis is about covers of books and DVD movies. I have tried to find out if the visual communication of the covers differs between the book and movie with the same story. Do they appeal to different target groups? I have also been trying to find out what designers can do to increase the visibility of covers among others. Are there certain rules to follow for making a cover visible?To reach a conclusion I have been studying components in advertising pictures, since covers work as a kind of advertiser for the product.

Marketers are trying to communicate so many messages to consumers that it makes it difficult for consumers to take in the different market messages that exist.In this paper the authors study how marketers can reach out with a message in today's clutter. They are doing a case study of a marketing campaign which tried to solve the communication problems that clutter is causing. The goal of this campaign was to create a snackis, a Swedish word for a current topic, to reach out with their message. The campaign attracted attention from the media.

Annonser och nyhetskonsumtion : En kvantitativ studie om hur unga vuxna irriteras av annonser på nyhetssidor på PC och iPad

In this paper we have studied how young adults read news on the internet. The purpose was to seehow the consumers of news were irritated by the adverts on news sites depending on whichplatform they used, a computer or an portable reading device of the brand Apple iPad.
