This report gives an overview of applications of the Greenroads rating system whichin turn is an environmental review system for roads. The focus of this report isapplications during the construction phase, ie on solutions which adhere to theentrepreneur's area of responsibility as opposed to the designer's. The study was undertaken in cooperation with Skanska (a global contractor andFortune 500 company) which provided a project suitable for an exemplatory study ofGreenroads. Please note that the project in particular was not specifically designedwith Greenroads in mind. Therefore and because of that the site provided anexcellent opportunity to study effects of application contra non-application. The approach of this study was to first review the system, thereafter to performinterviews with key personel at the site in different roles as to receive different viewsof selected points of application. Selected possibilities of application are cathegorizedand presented with comments and suggestions for adoption. Lastly Greenroads is briefly compared to the rating system which today is the mostwidely used by Skanska, LEED.

The similarity between the Russian and the Indian, in a Cold War context, may be ambiguous considering the ethnic-social variables and the period in time from where the Indians relate. However, by analyzing these, as well as other, characters in the exhibition of movies, we could learn something about the ideology of the time from which the movies derive.This study examines ideology and movies in the Cold War era and concludes that the Indian, for example, may be representing the values of the common public enemy, originating from the Cold War ideology. The movies examined, regardless of influence of distinct Cold War themes or lack of such themes, carry attributes that give evidence of typical Cold War ideology. The fear of communism and common enemies connected to a Cold War context, the thought of America as the land of the free ? with the horizon in the ending of the movies as metaphoric to freedom ? and the moral rhetoric that connects to the American thought of a duty as a global savior, are all signs of the Cold War ideology.Even though the messages are somewhat clearer and more distinct in the movies with Cold War motifs, the fact that ideology is projected through other movies as well should be considered essential for the continuing study of movies as cultural artefacts..

AbstractHow do we remember? What do we remember? How does the memory change over time? These are the main questions in this essay.Five persons, who have lived or are still living in the old parish Rystad, situated seven kilometers from the town Linkoping south of Lake Roxen, have participated in interviews. They have been given the possibility to present their oral history which has been recorded and later transmitted to texture. The participants represent different social backgrounds and professions and they were born between the years 1920 ? 1936.

Denna uppsats undersöker de moraliska grunderna för patenträtt till mjukvara. Detta problemområde utgör en del av ett bredare principiellt dilemma inom den immaterialrättsliga diskussionen, där gränsen för intellektuellt ägande har debatterats flitigt. Genom att undersöka inutitioner och strukturerade teorier i den filosofiska litteraturen formulerar och försvarar vi en normativ analysmodell som vi anser utgöra en lämplig utgångspunkt i en undersökning av en patentinstitutions legitimitet. Denna analysmodell ligger sedan till grund för en kritisk textanalys av EU-kommissionens förslag till direktiv för mjukvarupatent i Europa. Vi kommer i denna fram till att EU-kommissionens argumentation brister på en rad punkter eftersom man inte tar hänsyn till de värden som vi anser vara önskvärda.

Viktminskning kan ge ökad livskvalité pch psykiskt välbefinnande. Ur ett hälsoekonomiskt perspektiv är det av vikt att det hälsofrämjande arbetet startar tidigt i barndomen.

CSR är ett koncept som allt fler företag tar till sig, trots att det i grund och botten bygger på frivillighet. Ofta förklaras detta med att trycket från externa intressenter och den institutionella omgivningen i någon mån kräver att företag visar ansvar gentemot omvärlden. Många företag väljer idag att rapportera sitt arbete relaterat till CSR i en hållbarhetsredovisning. Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) publicerar ramverk för dessa redovisningars utseende. Denna studie syftar till att med hjälp av hållbarhetsredovisningar i enlighet med GRI-ramverket göra en branschjämförelse med avseende på rapportering av CSR.

Examensarbetet berör utvärdering och förbättring av kvalitetssystem vid Pfizer i Helsingborg. Data har samlats in, analyserats och därefter har förbättringsförslag tagits fram. Huvuddelen av datainsamlingen består av intervjuer som sedan analyserats med hjälp av teori inom TQM och gällande ISO standard. Övriga delar av datainsamlingen består bland annat av benchmarking. The reason why this essay is written can be parted in two, whereas one would be the global trend of urbanization that occurs to this moment and forward, whereas the other would be the debate of how motorism has come to be an issue of sustainable management of our cities and our environment. In purpose to deliver a thorough understanding of how the car and its capacity has come to shape the society of today, and to emphasize the problems it´s brought, a historical survey has been made, followed by the report of problems to the society formed by the needs of the car, discussed in several environmental issues, such as jamming, noise and air pollution. This is followed by the discussion of potential solutions for how city planning could return to the focus of the human scale and perspective, in purpose to correspond with the issue of ways to decrease the car use in towns. In conclusion, the given solutions are discussed, where examples like shared space, investment in public transport, mobility management and the theory of the assembled city are included, with aid from literature, to finally conclude the essay with personal thoughts of how the planning of today, or the given solutions, really are the result of sustainability for city planning from a human perspective.

The aim for the study was to examine a harwarder´s (combined harvester-forwarder) productivity when harvesting forest fuel in first thinning stands that contains Lodgepole pine and calculate the economy of the harvesting work and estimate the quality of the thinning . The field study area where located near Arvån, about 15 kilometres south ?east from the city of Lycksele. The field studies were taken place in three different stands. All tree stands had the same tree age, but the tree species combination and the density varied.
