I en mer global och konkurrensutsatt marknad krävs, i allt större utsträckning, att företag väljer att differentiera sig med specifika kundlösningar istället för den enskilda produkten. Genom att, tillsammans med kunden, skapa värde knyter man denna närmare till sig. Ett konsignationslager är en strategisk lagerlösning för att minska avstånden mellan kund och leverantör samt att minska kedjans totala lagerkostnad. SCA Timber har begränsad erfarenhet kring konsignationslager. Av den anledningen har det funnits oklarheter kring hur arbetet bör organiseras. Syftet med studien är att ta fram en best practice för hur SCA Timber ska arbeta med upprättandet av framtida konsignationslager. Studien är en multipel fallstudie av fyra verksamheter inom SCA och baseras på kvalitativa, semistrukturerade intervjuer med respondenter som varit inblandade i upprättandet av konsignationslager. Det empiriska materialet består av fjorton intervjuer. Studien utgår ifrån ett teoretiskt ramverk bestående av teorier kring projekt, kritiska framgångsfaktorer i projekt och skapandet av nyttjandevärde.

Framställning av näringstäta grödor genom bioteknisk växtförädling är en möjlig strategi för att tillgodose människans närings- och livsmedelsbehov på en global nivå. Tekniken gör det möjligt att överföra gener, som kodar för särskilda egenskaper, från en art till en annan. En tänkbar metod vore att ta fram sorter med ett kraftigt förhöjt innehåll av spårämnen, såsom järn, jod och zink. En annan metod fokuserar på själva biotillgängligheten genom att antingen minska andelen antinutrienter, som försvårar näringsupptaget, eller öka andelen föreningar som främjar biotillgängligheten. Detta angreppssätt ställer stora krav på den nya grödan.

Globalization is described as processes of economic, social and political character and a tendency in the field has been to study these aspects of the phenomenon separately. Another common feature of previous studies is to relate to the field at a high abstraction level and talk about the effects and changes in general terms. Such studies of quantitative and statistical nature in which people are constituted as homogeneous groups hides the fact that the relationship between social attributes and context creates unique positions where the effects of globalization are diverse (Sprague, 2005, pp. 16 - 18). The purpose of this bachelor thesis is therefore to break with this entrance to the field and instead focus on a micro level perspective.By conducting a qualitative interview study guided by the globalization theory of the Globalife research team, which shows how structures at the macro level can be understood to affect the micro level, the aim is to reveal potential knowledge gaps within the field.

Spelberoende och spelmissbruk av olika slag är som många kanske misstänker inga nya samhälleliga företeelser, men jag vågar dock påstå att fenomenen aldrig tidigare har varit så vanligt förekommande som de är i skrivande stund. Dessutom tenderar antalet problemspelare att accelerera ytterligare, och då främst med tanke på att spelmarknaden i dag tar sig helt andra former än tidigare. Idag utgör den, förut så strikt reglerade, svenska spelmarknaden en del av en global och konkurrensutsatt marknad, med ett ökat antal spelutbud och bättre tillgänglighet för konsumenten som följd. De tekniska framstegen (i huvudsak internet) har möjliggjort denna utveckling, och det verkar inte finnas några gränser för hur långt detta kan tänkas gå. I dagens Sverige finns det två stycken statliga myndigheter som är ansvariga för spelfrågor av olika slag.

The study is aimed at investigating the Slovenian philosopher Slavoj ?i?eks theories ofthe ontology of the subject, the crisis of our modern society and his views on how theology,especially Christian theology, can provide the answer for the threats to our society.My main object is the article Descartes and the post-traumatic subject (2008)where ?i?ek elaborates thoughts about the subject and our capitalistic society. To be ableto grasp these thoughts in full I have undergone an investigation not only on the writingsof Slavoj ?i?ek, but also on the philosophers to whom he owe much of his theories,such as G.W.F. Hegel, Friedriech Schelling, Karl Marx and Jaques Lacan.In the study I have shown how the subject is, according to ?i?eks psychoanalytictheories, decentered.

Trees in urban environment are exposed to extreme conditions, foremost the ones that grow in the hard packed soil along our streets. They are also exposed to damaging insects and fungal diseases both local and new ones spreading from South Europe. The global warming with warmer temperatures provides a longer growing season, making it easier for insects and fungus to establish a habitat. Based on these facts new tree species need to be available for future urban plantings.To determine what these trees would be an interview study began. Six people were selected who have experience in the field of urban environment planting.

Denna studie handlar om ungdomars fysiska självkänsla och baserar sig på en grupp ungdomar med åldrarna 16-18 år. Syftet är att ta reda på om den fysiska självkänslan skiljer sig ur ett genusperspektiv, om det finns en signifikant skillnad. För att undersöka ungdomarnas fysiska självkänsla används en bearbetad enkät av Raustorp (2006) som kallas Sådan är jag! (Bilaga 2). Den ursprungliga enkätens namn är Children and Youth-Physical Self-Perception Profile (CY-PSPP) som utvecklats av Fox och Corbins Physical Self-perception Profile. Enkäten delades ut till 100 elever på ett praktiskt gymnasium i Skåne.

Föreliggande studie fokuserar demokratidiskursen som den framskrivs i grundskolans läroplaner från 1962 till 2011. Syftet är att granska betoningar, skillnader och likheter ur två aspekter, demokratiuppdraget som innehåll och demokratiuppdraget som process, samt hur dessa relaterar till politisk och samhällelig utveckling över tid. Dessa aspekter kan också beskrivas som utbildning för och i demokrati och är diskurser, hur det talas om demokrati, inom den mer omfattande och övergripande demokratidiskursen. Studien är genomförd utifrån en kvalitativ metod och utgår från den kritiska diskursanalysen. Genomförandet innebär en granskning av vald data, läroplaner för grundskolan från 1962 till 2011, som sedan relateras och analyseras till inläst bakgrund, teoretiska utgångspunkter samt tidigare forskning i ämnet.

The subject-matter of the following essay is to investigate the relationship between what is commonly called Deep Ecology or Biocentric Philosophy, as articulated by the co-founder of the Deep Ecology Movement, Arne Naess, and later proponents of the biocentric school of environmentalist thought. I contrast Naess? concept of Self-realization as founded in his Ecosophy T to the ideas of american conservationist and co-founder of the radical green movement Earth First! Dave Foreman, and to the controversial finnish environmentalist and ecofascist Pentti Linkola?s ideological agenda of population-reduction respectively.According to some critics of the movement, especially the social ecologist Murray Bookchin and French liberal philosopher Luc Ferry, the Deep Ecology ideology is essentially misanthropic and totalitarian in structure. A central idea among deep ecologists is that ecosystems and natural entities have intrinsic value in themselves, even outside a human social context. This idea is thought of among deep ecologists to create a philosophically sound basis for counteracting the environmental global crisis.

Today?s climate research shows that the climate may increase its temperature. One sector that is being threatened by global warming is the winter tourism of the Swedish municipality A?re. Tourism is an important economical source of income in A?re and is now threatened by a shortened winter season.

If one looks at physical planning in Sweden today one can see that while talking about densification of existing development, reduced emissions and careful use of important land, urban sprawl is a fact with development of sheer residential districts in the urban edges and shopping malls in each and every municipality. As sustainable development is an essential goal for physical planning to strive towards, it is worth questioning if the direction of today?s planning will lead to the goal. A sustainable development can be seen as an obvious to goal aim at. In reality the aim means a hard and complex work.

Historiskt sett har miljöfrågor inte varit av någon större vikt inom politiken och har därför inte heller varit särskilt aktuella på den politiska agendan. I de fall där miljöfrågor har diskuterats och varit en del av den politiska agendan har det främst handlat om hur miljöresuser skulle kunna utnyttjas bättre i syfte att maximera den ekonomiska vinningen. Sedan ungefär tre årtionden tillbaka har detta dock kommit att förändras. I takt med globaliseringen och den tekniska utveckligen har insikten om den nära kopplingen mellan ekonomiska, sociala och miljöfrågor fått större genomslag och blivit allt mer framträdande på den politiska dagordningen. Denna koppling fick sitt stora genombrott med Brundtlandrapporten där uttrycket hållbar utveckling myntades.

This essay tells about the meaning of eurhythmics for children?s development and why it is so difficult to draw attention to the value of eurhythmics compared to other activities in preschool. The essay builds upon a story that shows what consequences may follow when the meaning of the eurhythmics in the process of learning is not acknowledged. By looking at the relation between rhythm and human beings in a global perspective, I have examined the meaning of rhythm for the human well-being. The question I have researched is; why does eurhythmics appeal to almost every child in spite of being rejected by so many teachers? By researching the reasons behind these completely different points of views, I have tried to enhance the understanding for the different perspectives.

I dagens allt mer globaliserade företagsklimat är det viktigt att på ett optimalt sätt hantera informations- och kunskapsrelaterade frågor. I takt med den ständiga förändringen som pågår så har begreppet Knowledge Management (KM) blivit ett populärt ämnesområde. KM kan enligt oss vara hur en organisation arbetar och hanterar kunskap för att kunna öka sin konkurrenskraft.Vårt syfte med denna kandidatuppsats har varit att undersöka hur den mestadels engelsk-språkiga litteraturen inom ämnesområdet KM går att applicera på svenska organisationer. Detta med avsikt på att kunna mäta en organisations KM-tillstånd. Vårt forskningsarbete har även målsättningen att generera förändrings- och förbättringsförslag åt en global orga-nisation som vårt referensföretag.För att uppfylla syftet har vi valt att utföra en surveyundersökning som bygger på Bukowitz och Williams bok, The Knowledge Management Fieldbook (1999).

The last years trends of increasing globalisation and the decreasing importance of the nationstate has led to rising flows of travellers and information throughout the globe. This has affected the competition between destinations; they are now competing in a global market. The importance of placemarketing and representing a place identity, is today essential to attract customers from around the world. The purpose of this essay was to examine how Iceland as a place is represented through the photographs in horse tourism. The research questions asked were: How is the Icelandic landscape represented in photographs? How is people and horses represented in the landscape? And how can the horse be analysed as a part of the Icelandic landscape? The method used for research was image-analysis, a qualitative approach where horse tourism-websites and photographs on these websites were strategically selected.
