When different type of programs are developed one wants to make these adjustable to future changes and requirements. It must be done a good design of the program from the beginning to make it possible to continue development of it without having to redo big parts of it to high costs. In the area of object orientation there are design pattern, which can be used to design systems that can be adjusted to new changes in an easier way. I have in this thesis chosen to take a closer look at how to design a program that sends SMS to cell phones through a system of an operator. One requirement on the program is that it has to be possible to change what operator to send though in an easy way.

This is a bachelor thesis that studies and discuss the question: How can we develop our individual narrative technique with sound design in a Swedish drama production? We have done research and empirical studies. We have analyzed movies to get an idea how we use the sound design in Swedish drama productions today. We have produced a movie that gives sound the biggest part. Key words: Swedish drama production, narrative technique, sound design.

Dagens rationalisering och fragmentering av jordbrukslandskapet bidrar till en försvårad livssituation för pollinerande insekter såsom fjärilar och vildbin. I Sverige är många vildbi- och fjärilsarter hotade och flera arter har redan utrotats helt. Vildbin, tillsammans med andra insekter, utför en oersättlig ekosystemtjänst; pollinering av grödor. Som landskapsarkitekter kan vi påverka de pollinerande insekternas livssituation genom att medvetet tänka på dessa vid gestaltning av parker och grönområden. Detta arbete omfattas av en inledande litteraturstudie, ett gestaltningsförslag och en avslutande diskussion. I litteraturstudien har vi sammanfattat de hot som finns mot pollinerande insekter idag, vilka som är de viktigaste pollinerande insekterna, samt vilka växtval som kan göras för att gynna deras behov av nektar och pollen.

Att ta hänsyn till kognitiva funktionsnedsättningar i utvecklingen avmobilapplikationer är utmanande då vissa gränssnitt och funktioner kan upplevas som för kompliceradeeller ostrukturerade. This thesis has been carried out in collaboration with the IT Company MPQ consulting AB in Halmstad. The task we were assigned by MPQ concerned the development of a scooter that can be used year round. We have with the companydeveloped the criteria and requirements for the product in which the goal is toproduce a primary solution that meets the set criteria and fall within the project'sboundaries.The project involves a wide range of different design methods for idea generationand idea development. Popular and literary framing in media coverage of Nobel Prize in Literature by Magnus Wennerberg Autumn 2013Instructor Mats Ekström The question at issue in this essay is how does mass media frame Nobel Prize in Literature? The starting point is to study whether game framing is occuring in media coverage of Nobel Prize in Literature. Previously, game framing has been studied in coverage of politcs, contrasted against issue framing. Game framing means that media frame politics as a game, a contest between politicians about power. This kind of framing is supposed to be used by media in purpose of attracting larger audience.

There are few legally protected gardens in Sweden, and those that are protected are mainly from the 17th and 18th centuries. All time periods have the same value and more modern gardens therefore needs to be protected. Evaluating parks is, however, complicated since it do not exist any methods. One environment from the 1960?s that has not been protected is Televerket in Farsta, Stockholm. The facility has been classified as worthy of preservation by Stockholm City Museum and has received the Kasper Salin Prize.

This degree project is a realization of a strategy for collaboration between an industrial designer and employed workmen of a producing company. The collaboration aims to engage everyone involved in the co-authorship of a products design and manufacturing history. The realization has taken place in an open dialogue where the designer no longer owns the design process by himself. The project has been carried out in cooperation with the company Iris Hantverk. The company is owned by the Swedish body for visually impaired and has their main production facility in Stockholm.

Syftet med kandidatarbetet är att skapa musik till en folkgrupp som saknar en etablerad musikkultur. För att göra detta valdes folkgrupper ut ur den fiktiva spelvärlden Drakar och Demoner: Trudvang. Fornnordisk kultur var en inspiration till Trudvang och detta studerades för att påvisa likheter till folkgrupperna i Trudvang. Parallellerna mellan de olika kulturerna blev uppsatsens förundersökning. Uppsatsens förundersökning resulterade i att det finns en efterfråga på musik i spelet varpå två folkgrupper från Trudvang valdes ut för gestaltning med musik, alferna och virannerna. Baserat på instrument som samerna och anglosaxarna kunde tänkas använda producerade vi musik till den andra delen av forskningen. Musiken undersöktes genom att dela ut en enkät till erfarna spelare på spelets forum för att bestämma huruvida gestaltningen av alferna och virannerna var lyckad. Resultaten visade att det lämpar sig att gestalta dessa folkgrupper med den producerade musiken och som ett resultat ge dem en musikkultur..

Denna rapport berättar om vårt arbete med att ta fram ett inredningskoncept till den nya kårpuben i Eskilstuna. Vi har med hjälp av våra kunskaper inom informationsdesign och rumslig gestaltning arbetat fram ett förslag, anpassat efter uppdragsgivarens önskemål. Våra uppdragsgivare är Kårhusstiftelsen och Mälardalens studentkår. De ville att inredningskonceptet skulle vara målgruppsanpassat med funktion, flexibilitet och nytänkande i fokus. Då kårpubens personal till största del består av ideell arbetskraft ville de även att inredningskonceptet skulle underlätta det dagliga underhållet av verksamheten.

This is a study of how emotional engagement can be measured and be taken into account in the development of websites. We believe that emotions become relevant only when viewed in correlation to how users experiencing a webpage. In this study, we developed a tool for use together with user tests where the information about the user's emotional engagement can add new value to the evaluation. The tool allows the user to mark, on the website, his/her emotions and level of engagement represented by colored circles, generating quantiative data on how users feel about the website. The tool is part of a method for evaluating the emotional engagement that we have developed which consists of user testing supported by the tool and accompanied by interviews..

Durban, South Africa?s third-largest city is a socially segregated post apartheid society, struggling with high unemployment and AIDS. The city becomes even more complex with a changing climate, creating an influx of people to the city, putting scarce resources under further stress. Warwick Junction, an important transport hub in the centre of Durban, holds a large site of informal trading alongside the formal markets. This informal sector generates large financial flows and provides for a rapidly growing population. The aim of this thesis is to develop an approach that is realistic and relevant to planning and design of an urban context in South Africa.
