I min uppsats vill jag påvisa dels hur samspelet mellan fans och filmmakare/filmbolag sett och ser ut, dels försöka klargöra varför copyright/fair use är så knepigt att applicera på området..

What is forgetfulness? How does it show? Is it a part of memory or can it be considered on its own? In the philosophical discourse forgetfulness is limited and the phenomenon is mostly portrayed as a pathological or obscure counterpart of memory. This portraying of forgetfulness can be seen as traditional way of describing it, but there is some philosophers who has spoken of forgetfulness in more fruitful ways. These ways are not to be interpreted as aspirations to decouple forgetfulness from memory, rather they are to be seen as attempts to interpret this relation on another basis. This basis has also led this essay towards an interpretation of forgetfulness' relation to truth.

In this thesis I examine how the phenomenological philosophy of Edmund Husserl and Martin Heidegger differ with regard to the phenomenological reduction, and in particular why there is no reduction in Sein und Zeit. I examine in what way philosophy is seen as an overcoming of the naïvete of a ?natural? attitude and how this natural attitude is understood, starting with Husserl?s descriptions of the phenomenological reduction, of the natural attitude of our daily lives and of his notion of transcendental subjectivity. By presenting these main aspects, I try to elucidate why, in Husserl?s view, laying the foundation of all knowledge must take form of a phenomenological first philosophy.

Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att undersöka om utrikespolitiken som USA förde under George W. Bushs tid i Vita Huset har likheter med det realistiska eller liberala teoriperspektivet inom internationella relationer. Den samlade utrikespolitiken under en president sammanfattas ofta i en doktrin där de centrala frågorna som administrationen har ägnat sig åt sammanfattas och sätts i perspektiv mot andra doktriner. Två kända doktriner tidigare i USA:s historia är till exempel Monroe- och Trumandoktrinen. För att ta fram de centrala delarna i Bushdoktrinen och hitta den grund som doktrinen vilar på har tal och dokument som Vita Huset utfärdat använts som underlag.

This study aims to compare two ethnographies of organizational culture ? one from the discipline of Social Anthropology and one from the discipline of Organizational Studies ? considering their purpose, their method, and their concept of culture. Despite big similarities, or perhaps thanks to the similarities, some fundamental differences are made visible. The discipline of Organizational Studies has, compared to that of Social Anthropology, regarding the research method being used, less focus on, and less participation in, the informal social life of the organizational culture of the study. Regarding the concept of culture the Organizational Studies consider culture containing more of unity, stability and clear boundaries, compared to Social Anthropology.

I detta examensarbete har vi utfört en litteraturstudie med syfte att hitta hittills okända eller kommande trender som kan komma att ha stor påverkan på aktörerna inom ballastmarknaden i framtiden. Vi har funnit ett antal sådana trender. Vi har också utformat en modell med vars hjälp den långsiktiga tillgången och efterfrågan av ballast inom en specifik region kan undersöks. Med utgångspunkt i George Lakoff och Mark Johnsons teori om den konceptuella metaforen analyseras i denna uppsats bildspråket i opionsjournalistiska texter som behandlar frågan om individualiserad föräldraförsäkring. Därtill anläggs med hjälp av Yvonne Hirdmans teori om genussystemet ett genuserspektiv, för att undersöka om metaforerna är könade och/eller reproducerar det binära könstänkandet. Personal archives are a largely neglected subject in archival theory. Among the consequences of this is the absenceof any general established or formalized practices when it comes to arrangement and description. Thisstudy opposes the notion that an archival institution without formal systems of arrangement and description doesnot order and describe archives in accordance with a general conceptual framework of a correct order. Supportingitself on the anthropological theory of Mary Douglas on dirt and cleanliness, it studies the implicit notions oforder that can be found in the archival descriptions of the personal archives kept by the Swedish national archives.Several patterns where revealed by the study: among them the primacy of quantity stood out. The vaguesystem of categories based on Martin Grass description model appears only to be employed loyally where quantitiesof the particular categories are such that they constitute complete volumes, which seem to be the cardinaljustifier of categorical division within the archive.

Detta är ett 10-poängs examensarbete på C-nivå, som vi under vårterminen avlagt vid Karlstads universitet. Målet med vårt projekt var att skapa ett nytt grafiskt gränssnitt till en komprimeringsalgoritm vid namn PAZ. Nuförtiden finns en hel uppsjö av grafiska gränssnitt till komprimeringsalgoritmer, men inget av dem stöder möjligheten att plugga in en egenutvecklad algoritm. Därför var vi tvungna att skapa vårt eget gränssnitt, som förutom PAZ också skulle stödja ZIP, RAR och andra etablerade algoritmer. Vi har alltså skapat ett grafiskt gränssnitt, vilket är anpassat för en implementation av den nya PAZ-algoritmen.Algoritmen har utvecklats av vår uppdragsgivare Martin Larsson.

In this thesis I focus on the artistry and essential work, behind the scenes that storyboard artists have contributed to, since the early days of film history. The works I will focus on are the important phases of pre-planning of feature films and animated films. I theorize on the aspect of what makes a good story and how it is brought to life on the screen, as well as how the story is actually conveyed with this drawings. The hypothesis maintains the importance of storyboards, as well as defining their main purpose. Using a formalistic point of view and historical argumentation, I examine and compare five different directors´ use of storyboards and how their respective collaborative teams (i.e director of photography, production designer and story artists, editors etc) create each film´s particular nuances and cinematic expressions.

Denna uppsats är en historisk prövning av giltigheten hos en teoretisk arbetsmodell, ursprungligen hemmahörande i samhällskunskapen.Modellen som prövas är en typologi från Joachim Raschkes bok Soziale Bewegungen: Ein historisch-systematischer Grundriss. Av språkliga skäl utgår dock denna uppsats från Martin Stolares tolkning av samma typologi, i dennes avhandling Moderniseringskritiska rörelser. Modellen delar upp föreningslivets sociala rörelser med utgångspunkt från de metoder vilka rörelserna använder för att åstadkomma en samhällsförändring. Utifrån detta typologiska raster kan sociala rörelser klassificeras som antingen makt- eller kulturorienterade. Denna uppsats prövar giltigheten hos Raschkes typografi genom en historisk fallstudie av verksamheten hos två organisationer, vilka bägge framgångsrikt verkade i Sandviken under åren 1948-1960.

Some theorist, like George Ritzer and Max Weber, claim that everything has its optimal process and that all companies therefore will strive towards standardization. Researchers like Paco Underhill and Pine & Gilmore on the other hand, claim that an increasingly global competition forces businesses to focus more on consumer demands, experiences and differentiation. This thesis challenges these statements with empirical data by looking at shopping malls and their strategies as well as consumer preferences. It arrives at the conclusion that output is primarily driven by customer demand, and that consumers value a certain part of predictability..
