Räddningstjänsten är i stor utsträckning utplacerad på små orter och har betydligt fler stationer är vad ambulanssjukvården har. Räddningstjänsten har större möjligheter än ambulanssjukvården att snabbt vara på plats hos en svårt sjuk patient. Verksamheten med sjukvårdslarm har pågått i många år, men hur patienten upplever vården är inte väl studerat. Syftet med studien var att beskriva hur patienter med akut bröstsmärta upplever att bli vårdade av deltidsbrandmän under ett sjukvårdslarm. En empirisk studie med kvalitativ ansats genomfördes och analyserades med konventionell innehållsanalys enligt Hsieh & Shannon.

Inom denna studie behandlas de personliga nätverkens påverkan på ett Born Global-företags internationaliseringsprocess. Studieobjektet är JOMED, ett företag inom den medicintekniska branschen. Dess viktigaste produkter är s k stents, vilka används vid behandling av kärlsjukdomar. Studiens litteraturkapitel behandlar tre områden, Born Globals, internationaliseringsteori samt nätverksteori. Med Born Globals avses företag som i mycket nära anslutning till sin tillblivelse internationaliseras.

In order to measure the quality of the logs, one can with help of Fast Fourier Transform technique get the signals resonance peaks. With help of these peaks you can see whether the quality of a tree is good or bad. This report contains the work of a where a program has been developed to be able to process a vibration created by an automatic hammer hitting on a log of wood. From the processed signal the program should be able to show both the raw wavesignal and the processed measured data from the resonance peaks. Beyond the raw wavesignal and resonance peaks the program should also be able to control the automatic hammer.

This study examines differences between private and state-owned companies' sustainability reports for the year 2010. Three state-owned companies and three private companies in three different industries have been examined. An effort has been put to explaining if differences are related to the owner or to the industry. The basis for this is that the state owned companies are required to present a sustainability report according to shareholder demands, while the private owned aren?t obligated to present their sustainability efforts.The study has a qualitative basis, and empirical data have been collected by the authors.

The purpose of this work is to do an investigation on the customers in the pharmaceutical sector; mainly general physicians who have taken part in the education events have any impact in their prescription behaviour after the participation in the program. The settings for this study are general practitioners in the Swedish market who have taken part in the education program held by Novo Nordisk in the treatment of diabetes disease. Methodology: The methodological approach adopted for this work is quantitative; using secondary data from the internal database from the company. The analytical model is tested through statistical analysis using the data?s obtained from the databases.

Syftet med denna studie var att, med hjälp av ett neuropsykologiskt testbatteri, undersöka huruvida kognitionen är påverkad gällande uppmärksamhet och exekutiva funktioner hos patienter som lider av multisystemsjukdomen Dystrofia Myotonika typ 1. Syftet var också att, med hjälp av självskattningsskalor, undersöka hur de drabbade själva uppfattade sin situation i detta avseende. Insamlade data från en patientgrupp bestående av 33 individer med konstaterad Dystrofia Myotonika typ 1 jämfördes med data från en kontrollgrupp bestående av 25 friska individer. Resultatet visade att patientgruppen genomgående presterade sämre än kontrollgruppen på de neuropsykologiska testerna. Resultaten på självskattningsformulären gick i linje med detta, vilket tyder på att patientgruppen, generellt, delvis är medveten om sina kognitiva svårigheter.

Under de senaste åren har det utvecklats en rad nya applikationer på internet, så kallade sociala medier, där användare kan interagera med varandra på ett sätt som tidigare inte varit möjligt. Antalet användare av sociala medier, ökar ständigt och företag börjar inse potentialen att använda dem i sin marknadsföring. Syftet med denna uppsats var att undersöka och förklara hur marknadsföring i sociala medier skiljer sig från traditionell marknadsföring samt hur de olika delarna av sociala medier kan användas i marknadsföringsprocessen. För att kunna göra detta har vi samlat in och studerat både primär och sekundär kvalitativ data. Primär data har vi erhållit genom intervjuer med tre personer som dagligen arbetar med marknadsföring inom sociala medier.

Thesis purpose: The main purpose of this study is to empirically verify the applicability of Kozinets´ model on an interest, activity or lifestyle based online community, in order to develop an adaptive segmentation approach for segmenting online communities. Methodology: This research is deductive by nature, cross-sectional by design and undertakes a quantitative approach using self-completion questionnaire as a part of a web survey to collect the empirical data needed. Theoretical perspective: The main theories guiding our work and supporting the findings of this study include: market segmentation (descriptive and behavioural) and communities (consumer communities and online communities). Empirical data: A web survey with self-completion questionnaire used to gather empirical data from members of interest, activity or lifestyle based online communities. Conclusions: This study took the specific characteristics of online communities into more consideration than previous research and literature has done and also recognized that an adaptive segmentation approach is needed, depending on the communities of study.

Background: According to us, obtaining reimbursement of expenses in connection with a representation is a ?forgotten? process, and we therefore find it interesting to look further into. In some cases we have not claimed for compensation since we consider the process as too complicated or that we lost the original receipt. Ernst & Young (2009) say in their research that within the financial management area, Swedish operations loses billions of Swedish crowns due to bad routines. Okada and Hoch (2004) mention that if time were not considered as a resource, time would not be a hinder.

Earlier research has shown that generational differences between younger-supervisors and older-workers may cause tensions that lead to team ineffectiveness. There is however still a lack of research in this area. This thesis presents possible tensions that might occur between a younger supervisor and an older worker due to their age and generational affiliation, and how these tensions affect the team dynamics. The empirical data collection was limited to the boundaries of the dental care industry where these generational/age differences between younger supervisor and older worker are common. The thesis looks at the tensions from a qualitative perspective and data was collected in the form of in-depth interviews with selected dentists and nurses.

The ability to tackle NP-hard problems has been greatly extended by the introduction of Metaheuristics (see Blum & Roli (2003)) for a summary of most Metaheuristics, general problem-independent optimisation algorithms extending the hill-climbing local search approach to escape local minima. One of these algorithms is Iterated Local Search (ILS) (Lourenco et al., 2002; Stützle, 1999a, p. 25ff), a recent easy to implement but powerful algorithm with results comparable or superior to other state-of-the-art methods for many combinatorial optimisation problems, among them the Traveling Salesman (TSP) and Quadratic Assignment Problem (QAP). ILS iteratively samples local minima by modifying the current local minimum and restartinga local search porcedure on this modified solution. This thesis will show how ILS can be implemented for MSA.

Varje år insjuknar 30.000 svenskar i stroke, av dessa avlider 10.000 personer. De som överlever behöver effektiv rehabilitering. CI-Terapi är en behandlingsform där den mindre påverkade extremiteten fixeras och den paretiska extremiteten tvingas till rörelse. Syftet med studien är att granska befintlig forskning angående CI-Terapins effekter på rörelseförmågan och beteendeförändringar hos individer som drabbats av stroke. Studien genomfördes som en litteraturstudie där data söktes på Cinhal, Pedro, Pubmed, Academic Search och Swemed.

Samverkan i Kronobergs län bedrivs mellan försäkringskassa och arbetsförmedling. Verksamheten innebär arbetslivsinriktad rehabilitering för individer. Under 2007 presenterade länet ett mycket gott resultat för verksamheten och låg i topp jämfört med övriga län. Därav finns intresse att studera verksamheten. Studiens syfte är att beskriva det samverkansarbete som sker mellan myndigheterna i verksamheten Samverkan och att generera hypoteser som kan förklara de goda resultatsiffror Kronobergs län har presterat.

This study was made for the Swedish forest company Sveaskog because the sawmills they delivered timber to had noticed a high frequency of bucking splits in their products. Coworker Jim Edström at Sveaskog also wanted to know if there was a big difference between different felling heads. The purpose with this study has been to find out the amount of bucking splits and if there is any felling head brand that did a bigger damage that the others. The study was made in two steps, where the first part was a literary review to find out results and conclusions in earlier studies. The best measuring method to check bucking splits was the known ?trissmetoden?.

This report describes the development and implementation of a system for transmitting digital information at high speeds from a miniaturized submersible developed by the Ångström Space Technology Centre at Uppsala University. For instance, the vehicle shall transmit image data ? even stream live video - through an optical fibre to a monitor in a ground station. Hence, the system shall be used both to convert the image data to make it transmittable, and to recreate it at the receiver.The work includes a pre-study of the programming language and the technology used. A concept for the solution is presented together with main components later broken down into internal functions.
