Dione kullager AB is a company in Uppsala, which sell industrialmachinecomponents, transmissionsolutions and provides repair serviceof hydraulic components.When a hydraulic cylinder is about tobe repaired it needs to bedisassembled. Because hydrauliccylinders usually work in dirtyenvironments and are heavilyworn some types of cylinders arealmost impossible to disassemble.Today the disassemble is made by hand,which means extra work for themechanics. In order to facilitate thedismantling of this type of cylindersa machine is to be developed for thispurpose and this is where this thesisbegins.The thesis has been organized in threephases: Literature study in whichfacts and theories are acquired.Concept generation in which differentconcepts, calculations, and solutionswere identified and selected. Thedesign phase where all the differentconcepts of components were assembledand simulated in SolidWorks. Similarstructures have also been studied inorder to identify necessary functions.The thesis resulted in a structurewhich is believed to meet therequirements.

ABSTRACTThis thesis focuses on the OPEC oil crisis of 1973 and its impact on the Scandinavian countries of Sweden and Denmark. Starting from Walter Carlsnaes theory of energy vulnerability, the concepts of vulnerability and national security are tested on the selected cases and an array of policy alternatives are assessed. Posited available options like oil stockpiling, conservation, renewable energy and international coordination are evaluated as means for ameliorating the vulnerability of the nations. The theory chosen is further expounded with a consensus element to reinforce its explanatory power. The thesis utilizes a wide range of material from parliamentary records to daily newspapers in an attempt to shed some light on the interplay between economics and politics.Sweden and Denmark evince diverging developments despite their common starting point with exceptionally high oil dependencies and can be located on different ends of the energy policy gamut.

Forskning benämner de barn och ungdomar som föddes under åttio- och nittiotalet som internetgenerationen. Innebörden av detta begrepp är att vi har en hel generation som vuxit upp med nätet som ett ständigt närvarande fenomen samt att detta i sin tur påverkat ungas vardag, socialisation och inlärning. Den omfattande effekt nätet haft på samhället och våra yngre generationer har i sin tur påverkat det pedagogiska uppdraget. Jag har gjort en kvalitativ undersökning där jag intervjuat fem pedagoger om deras tankar kring internet och dess inverkan på pedagogens uppdrag. Pedagogerna är alla eniga om att internet spelar en viktig roll i barns och ungas tillvaro samt att barn visar kunskaper om IT och nätet redan första året i skolan.

This thesis is written at WSP management and investigates the practice of pre-project planning and feasibility studies at Swedish construction companies, through the study of the ongoing feasibility study of the mall Sturegallerian in Stockholm, and through interviews with experienced project managers in the construction industry. There is currently a big span in the way Swedish construction companies plan the pre-project phase and the aim of this thesis is to present a more generic and standardized way that helps minimize project risks and maximize efficiency and profit. The result is a generic model which can be used in pre-project planning. The model describes the phases in the preproject planning process and the activities that span these phases. Is also describes the categories of professions that need to participate in the preproject planning group and which activities that each profession executes. The other result is a list of factors that need to be considered for a well performed pre-project phase, as found during the interviews. Among others the thesis stresses the importance of involving the client as a key participant in the process.

In this master thesis outage statistics covering tree years from two distribution grids are analyzed with the purpose to deduce which factors yield outages. The statistics are extensive therefore allowing in-depth analysis of both customer and system related factors. From this starting point and as a model of explanation energy not supplied is studied as the consequence and the measurement of the inconvenience caused by outages. Different methods for calculating energy not supplied are developed and studied and put in comparison to the method used in Network Performance Assessment Model, which is the Swedish frame work for regulating electricity distribution.Analysis of the outage statistics show a relation between the type category of customer and outages that can be deduced to the variance and the density associated with that customer category. Prioritization of different customer categories is elevated also in this aspect.

Studien bygger p? sju semistrukturerade narrativa intervjuer med f?r?ldrar till barn i ?ldrarna 0-18 ?r. Analysen genomf?rdes med narrativ metod och tolkades utifr?n systemteori och Bronfenbrenners ekologiska systemteori.

This report is focused on a research to find out if the Customer Relation Management (CRM) of Quicknet AB works and if their customers are satisfied with it. During this investigation I tried to see if the customers had a need for taking the CRM and use a tool called Social CRM. The report will conclude if the clients of Quicknet think that there is something that can be done in the relation between both parts and how it can be improved. At the same time I am going to build an application which relates to the problems of this report.To solve the problem I am going to do a survey which will include the CRM and also try to find out if the customers of Quicknet share the same thoughts about having a Social Customer Relation Management. Also if this survey shows what the customers think about the CRM, it could improve the relation between Quicknet and themselves. The result from the survey showed two things.

The aim of this thesis is to investigate librarians? experiences and opinions about a system for fiction retrieval based on the subject headings list Att indexera skönlitteratur. I want to know if librarians experience that subject headings searches for fiction literature are a good working tool, if there according to librarians are other resources and means that makes fiction available and searchable, and how they estimate the possibility of non-professionals to use subject headings for fiction retrieval. Six librarians at public libraries in Göteborg where interviewed. The interviews dealt with their work with fiction literature, their experiences of subject headings as a fiction retrieval tool, and with their contacts with patrons.

The basis of the study lies with a newly patented gearbox by cardiologist and inventor Stig Lundbäck. Stig founded CorPower Ocean AB to further develop the gearbox to be used in a wave energy device. The purpose of this project is to develop a concept of a lifting system with CorPower Oceans gearbox that is more energy efficient than a hydraulic lifting system. The goal is to use technology from CorPower Oceans gearbox inversely to perform heavy lifting as an alternative to hydraulics. The project is limited to applying the gearbox and gear rack on a forklift with a lifting capacity of ten tons.The main tool in this project will be the product development process Systems Engineering where only the most relevant parts will be used to develop a concept.

The northeast part of the island, called Northern Ireland, had been under British domination for over 25 years when ?the Troubles? ended by the year of 1998. This essay aims towards explaining how the first generation after ?the Troubles? has been shaped in terms of political and religious beliefs and attitudes in the society of Belfast.

Ökad globalisering och konkurrens på arbetsmarknaden samt en förändring av arbetsmarknaden har tillsammans med en stor generationsväxling försvårat rekrytering av ny arbetskraft för arbetsgivare. Stora pensionsavgångar skapar ett behov av att anställa nya medarbetare och för att fylla det gap som skapas i arbetskraften behöver organisationer arbeta med hur de ska attrahera och behålla unga medarbetare. Enligt forskning skiljer sig den yngre generationens värderingar och krav gentemot tidigare generationer vilket också innebär att det har skett ett skifte i vilka faktorer som motiverar och attraherar dessa. Dagens arbetsgivare står inför svårigheten att uppfatta och skaffa sig insikt om vad den nya generationen, som är på väg in på arbetsmarknaden, motiveras och attraheras av. Forskning kring dagens arbetsgivares insiktsnivå om vad som motiverar den yngre generationen är begränsad då dessa är relativt nya på arbetsmarknaden.

Barnen som publik har blivit en allt viktigare målgrupp för medieorganisationerna. Det finns en mängd TV-program i olika kanaler som riktar sig mot barnen som publik och många studier är gjorda om innehållet i olika barnprogram, men mycket litet är skrivet om relationen mellan barn och TV-sport. Temat för den här uppsatsen är att från ett medievetenskapligt perspektiv beskriva vad innehållet i ett barnprogram som Lilla Sportspegeln kan berätta om vårt samhälles syn på sport, barn och kön. Genom att studera innehållet i 5 avsnitt av programmet har material till en innehållsanalys samlats in.För att göra materialet hanterbart har analysen tematiserats i 3 huvudområden : kollektiva identiteter och relationer mellan generation och mellan genus, i syfte att försöka förstå och synliggöra hur programinnehållet förmedlar en sportideologi som kan ha betydelse för hur vi uppfattar barn och sport.Med hjälp av medieteorier från bl a John B Thompson, lyfts mediernas betydelse för ideologireproduktion fram. Detta kommuniceras av TV-mediet med hjälp av vissa symboliska former i en viss kontext, dvs Lilla Sportspegelns framställningsform.

Researchers in the field of political corruption generally expect voters in democratic states to lose trust in corrupted politicians. However, there are cases where corrupted politicians maintain their popularity, a phenomenon studied in this thesis. Focus lies on three cases of political corruption: the Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi who has been the subject of several judicial investigations and court cases; the impeached former president of Lithuania, Rolandas Paksas; and the German Christian Democratic Union's (CDU) involvement in a party funding scandal. The cases are chosen based on the method of agreement. Berlusconi, Paksas and CDU have all, in spite of their corrupt behaviour, kept or regained popular support among a large group of their country's citizens.

The current state of our web is one where users can create and distribute information freely and without constraining limitations of knowledge. It?s as easy as making a Facebook status update or sending out a Tweet to make contributions to the web and we?re all doing it. Web-Giants like Facebook and Google deinate the web because they have such massive user amounts and therfore they control the information their users see. This is a problem because we?re hidden from the entire information amount that is the web in the 21st century.

En stad är i konstant rörelse och förändring. Staden kan handla om känslor, intryck och upplevelser. Upplevelsen av en metropolis kan vara en behaglig resa, men det kan även innebära ett mentalt slag i magen på grund av dess historia som kan vara så oerhört tragiskt och otäck att den rör dig till tårar. Eventuellt kan en stads historia även få människor att se världen med nya och mer öppna ögon. I det här fallet handlar det om en av världens metropolstäder, Berlin.Varför är Berlin så speciellt? Staden är varken känd för sin skönhet eller bevarandet av staden.
