In this report female farmers use of technical equipment is investigated. There is little research made on this subject in Sweden, therefore this report can be seen as an explorative study. Research makes it clear that machinery, throughout history and even today, has been seen as a male area. Heavy machines are often associated with the same attributes as masculinity. Force, power, efficiency and control are some examples.
Word of Nextopia - en djupare förståelse av Nextopia och hur det påverkar Word of mouth
The purpose of this study is to further develop the understanding of Nextopia, the belief that the next product will always be better, and the effects it has on Word of mouth, both oral (WOM) and electronic (eWOM), and investigate possible causes of this effect. This has been made through an experimental study of responses to two mineral water ads, with a manipulated time frame. First, this thesis supports the fact that there is a General Nextopia-effect on customers being exposed to a future product, which makes them evaluating the product higher in terms of feelings, attitude and intention. Further this study shows that there is also a Nextopia-effect on WOM and eWOM, by customers being more likely to recommend a future product rather than a current one. This propensity to recommend the product also has a relationship with responsibility, which correlates much stronger with WOM than eWOM.
På egna ben? En kvalitativ studie om gymnasieelevers framtidssyn.
AbstractThe purpose of this essay was to examine how young people who are about to graduate from high school define and value their future. We also wanted to se which emotions they associate with their future and what or who influences them in their choices in life.The questions for our study were:What does it mean for these youths to become an adult?What images do they have of future education, profession and unemployment?What or who influences the picture they have of their future?What kind of attitude do they have towards the future?We approached the research with a qualitative method and interviewed ten youths in high school. Our conclusion was that the youths had an ambivalent attitude towards becoming adults; it was scary and yet exciting. The youths had the impression that education was important in order get a good job and to avoid unemployment.
Cause-Related Marketing: En kvalitativ studie i hur Cause-Related Marketing påverkar svenska konsumenter
Cause-Related Marketing (CRM) is a marketing activity that has grown popular in the USA and studies have been carried out that explore how American consumers perceive and react to CRM. In Sweden, however, CRM has not yet found ground to any greater extent, and therefore there is limited research on how Swedish consumers react to CRM and how they perceive it. In this study, eight Swedish consumers are interviewed regarding their perception of CRM. The main findings of the investigation are that Swedish consumers fit well into a model that is based on American consumers? responses to CRM.
GROWTH: En studie om hur man kan skapa liv i en post-apokalyptisk spelvärld
Detta arbete undersöker frågan om hur man kan gå tillväga för att skapa en
känsla av liv i en postapokalyptisk spelvärld med hjälp av färger, former och
animationer i en egen spelproduktion. Arbetet tar upp flera teorier kring
spelutveckling, post-apokalyptisk fiktion och färglära. Arbetet tar också upp
verktyg som användes i produktionen av det spel som skapades och hur arbetet
fortskred. Diskussionen som följer tar upp hur metoderna som användes påverkade
resultatet och vad resultatet blev, samt hur man gick tillväga för att tolka
det. Slutsatsen som dras i diskussionen visar att det är möjligt att skapa en
känsla av liv i en postapokalyptisk spelvärld i en egen produktion och hur man
kan förbättra de metoder som använts i en eventuell uppföljning av detta
arbete.

In 2010 Swedish political parties used commercials broadcasted on TV for the first time in order to gain votes in a General election. In connection with the election the parties were criticized for not succeeding to formulate a story to the voters that conveyed how they wanted to change Sweden. In this paper I use central concepts from rhetoric, storytelling, postmodernism and psychology to formulate three demands each on the narrator, the story and its reception. Using the resulting image of what distinguishes a good narrator, a good story and a good reception as a starting point, I investigate to what extent the critique was justified. My findings indicate that the degree to which the commercials fulfill these demands vary greatly.
Musik och Livsstil : En studie om ungdomar och hårdrock
In the following study I probe the social world of hard-rock music. By conducting interviews with four young male enthusiasts of this music I try to develop a General picture of this social world, as well as of the basic elements on which this particular subculture is constructed. The identity of a hard-rocker is based upon a number of factors beyond just a preference for that music. Throughout the interviews I encountered many implicit norms that one must followed in order to be able to see oneself as a true hard-rocker. I also found that from the respondents? perspective, the mainstream culture has, throughout the history of metal music, used various ways to counter the spreading of this genre.
Pedagogiskt ledarskap en utopi!? : en studie i pedagogisk ledarskap utifrån två olika organisationsformer
This work is a study of how the principal's educational leadership designs in two different forms of organization. I have chosen to do a comparative study between how two headmasters identify educational leadership, and to what level they feel they can act as educational leaders in their school. The comparison is made between two educational organizations, and two principals? image, one in Sweden and one in New Zealand. I have chosen interview as method and I have only two respondents on the grounds that is the person's unique perception I want to bring into focus.
Bibliotekariestudenters attityd till marknadsföring på bibliotek
: This bachelor thesis explores library students? attitudes towards marketing in libraries. The aim is to find out if they are interested in working whit marketing questions in their future workplaces. To perform the study the author used a questionnaire survey and 48 students completed the survey. The answers where converted into present form and 10 charts were created to show the result.
Social fildelning på arbetsplatsen : Traditionell och social fildelning
This paper describes how files and information can be shared in organisations and workplaces. We studied and compared the traditional file sharing in Microsoft Active Directory and the Social file sharing that comes with Microsoft SharePoint Sites. We used qualitative studies based on interviews with system administrators, management and by our own observations to acquire the necessary data. Using independent research, we were able to analyze the data and show the General difference between the traditional and the social file sharing systems. Social file sharing enables the user to easily store and share files in a flexible online environment.
Könsskillnader i välbefinnande utifrån val av fysisk aktivitet
Samhället uppmuntrar individer att se över sina hälsovanor för att öka välbefinnandet. Syftet var att undersöka om val av fysisk aktivitet hade effekt på den generella hälsan i ökat subjektivt välbefinnande samt om det fanns könsskillnader i dessa. Sextio män och kvinnor mellan 25-50 år valdes slumpmässigt ut från träningsanläggningar för att besvara the 12-item General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-12) samt Swedish Core Affect Scale (SCAS). Resultatet visade på signifikant ökning av välbefinnande efter fysisk aktivitet samt inga könsskillnader. Dock fanns en signifikant interaktionseffekt mellan kön och fysisk aktivitet, de män som promenerade och kvinnor som konditionstränade hade högst välbefinnande och generell hälsa.

The climate for video sharing online is somewhere in the border of becoming a place for only the big companies to distribute material with General interest, or small communities with genre-specific interest to attract a larger audience. In this article I will look at the travelindustry to see what possibilities can be implemented into communities with interest in planning and travelling. I will argue that the importance of collaboration with different media
can create a bigger picture so that more people can use and discover each other?s travel videos and experiences. I have also taken a closer look at social interaction at online communities such as MySpace and YouTube.
Behuggning av betongytor: ett test av hantverksmetoder
During the latter half of the 18th century, when concrete started seeing General use in
modern cities, the use of different methods to give the concrete a finished surface texture
saw use. One of these was using different methods of mechanically altering the surface using
a slew of cutting and crushing techniques with mallet and chisel. This was done in order to
hide the often dull and gray look of concrete, and allude to other more expensive and
luxurious stones. The work would possibly have been done by experienced stonemasons,
using much of the same techniques and tools they would have used while working natural
stones. Or did they? This essay explores, through the use of traditional handcrafts and tools,
the claim that the working of concrete surfaces can be done with the same tools and skillset
as the working of natural stone.

om arbetsplatslärande och studera hur uppfattningarna påverkar medarbetarnas
arbetstillfredsställelse. Vi utgick från två frågeställningar: vilka
uppfattningar har medarbetare
av hur de lär på sin arbetsplats, och finns det skillnader i medarbetarnas
uppfattningar av vad
de lär? Resultatet visar att deltagarnas uppfattningar om fenomenet skiljer sig
åt. Tolkningen
av resultatet visar att deltagarna lär på olika sätt och använder kunskapen
olika i deras
yrkesutförande.
Voxelbaserad rendering med "Marching Cubes"-algoritmen
Det finns flera olika metoder och tekniker för tredimensionell rendering, alla
med olika för- och nackdelar som lämpar sig för olika applikationer.
Voxelbaserad rendering har använts flitigt inom vetenskapliga områden, främst
inom det medicinska för visualisering av volymetrisk data. Tekniken används nu
inom flera olika områden för tredimensionell rendering, t.ex. i datorspel, i
matematiska applikationer och vid geologisk rekonstruktion.
I den här rapporten kommer voxelbaserad rendering med Marching Cubes-algoritmen
undersökas för att se hur den lämpar sig för realtidsapplikationer. Området
behandlas dels teoretiskt, men även praktiskt då en implementering av Marching
Cubes gjordes för att genomföra några tester för att se hur prestandan
påverkades.
Av testerna framkom det tydligt att algoritmen lämpar sig väl för
realtidsapplikationer och dagens grafikkort.
