De flesta företag använder sig av något slags system för att kontrollera arbetsflödet. Dessa system används av alla på företaget och därmed är det viktigt att undersöka, hur medarbetarna upplever detta system. Med en explorativ utgångspunkt gjordes en enkätstudie på ett företag i Västsverige. Resultatet visade att deltagarna, förutom några få procent i stort sett hade liknande positiva upplevelser. Ingen skillnad fanns heller mellan grupperingarna ung/gammal eller antal år de arbetat på företaget.

The failure of Structural Adjustment Programs and its neoliberal policies to effectively reduce poverty have led to the creation of Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper (PRSP) by The World Bank and International Monetary Fund. PRSP, connected to both the Comprehensive Development Strategy and the HIPC initiative, are built on the notion of national ownership and stakeholder participation and thereby expand potential conditionality to include matters of governance. This thesis examines the evolution of PRSP and how the process of participation affects national governance structures. By analyzing the role of rules and norms within the World Bank and IMF from a historical point of view the thesis explains why the participation process has developed the way it has. It concludes that neoliberal norms, still at heart within the World Bank and IMF, have an impact on the process of participation within nation states and thereby its governance structure.

The study explores different aspects of how a social organization is created and maintained in the space between the institution and the individual. Based on fieldwork, participant observation and individual interviews in the housing estate of Hageby, Norrköping, this ethnographic study examines how and why the organization ?Ditt Nya Hageby? was created, as well as the unanimity between the purpose of the organization and the engagement of the members. Two projects within the organization are especially examined, along with the roles of the two members behind them. The study presents three perspectives from which ?Ditt Nya Hageby? can be viewed.

Under de senaste årtiondena har insikten ökat kring betydelsen av mänsklig påverkan på miljön och vikten av att i ökad utsträckning skydda miljön. I Sverige har det bland annat medfört en likställning av produktions- och miljömålen inom skogsbruket. Sveriges regering har arbetat vidare för att utveckla miljöarbetet, vilket lett till ett antal konkreta miljömål inom olika sektorer. För skogen kallas det övergripande miljömålet "Levande Skogar". Målet är där bland annat att bevara en hög biologisk mångfald i skogarna.

The aim of this study is to through six interviews, with six experienced, social workers?, in three cities, understand how the child?s position in the Swedish child protective services? enquiries has change, and the factors behind it. The aim is also to compare if the social workers? view of the child?s position in the enquire has change accordingly to Socialstyrelsens intentions of BBIC. The theoretical approaches that was used is the new institutionalism, the Shier?s pathways to participation and the term discretion.

Marketing thus seems likea useless approach, yet almost every city does it.By using discourse analysis and institutional theory, this essay aims to explainwhy the city of Kramfors markets itself. There are several problems arising due tothe marketing of places, especially concerning the discrepancy between the city?simage and identity.

I mars 2012 tog SVT 1 bort sin bildpresentatör och ersatte den med en speakerröst och grafiska sekvenser i programskarvarna. Syftet med det här examensarbetet var att undersöka vilken betydelse programpresentationerna inom de här två formaten har för publiken.För att kunna besvara forskningsfrågan genomfördes två gestaltningar som var grunden för den kvantitativa undersökning som arbetet bottnade i. Den kompletterades med kvalitativa intervjuer för att få en så tydlig bild av varför respondenterna svarat som de gjort i detta aktuella ämne.Resultatet visade att publiken till en början tyckte bäst om att få informationen av en Hallåa, men efter de kvalitativa intervjuerna visade det sig att det första svaret berodde på gammal vana och att de nu tyckte bättre om det nya formatet då de efterfrågar snabbare TV. Resultatet visade också att innehållet mellan program är mycket identitetsskapande för tv-kanaler..

This paper provides a study about human trafficking with sexual motives performed in European states and the measures taken from national, international and Non-Governmental organizations with the purpose to oppose human trafficking. According to the UN human trafficking has increased and shows tendencies to continue escalating, regardless of the measures taken by various organisations. In this study, four countries with associations to human trafficking have been chosen and organisations related to these countries are studied. The purpose is to inquire into how these organisations work against human trafficking and which objectives and guidelines these organisations strive for together with their values. The aim is to find out which result the organizations efforts gets and if, according to my hypothesis, the efforts oppose themselves.

AbstractOil rich states all over the world share a common feature. They are less likely than other states, depending on other resources, to be ruled democratically. In this essay Saudi Arabia has been studied with the purpose of trying to find which mechanisms that lie behind why oil rich states do not have institutions or institutional change that promotes democracy.Saudi Arabia has the world's largest known reservoir of oil. The oil brings huge revenue each year to the Saudi Arabian government. Why have Saudi Arabia not developed democratically when their economic growth suggests that to be a natural step? Under the framework of historical institutionalism and path dependency theory, I have used process tracing trying to track the mechanisms behind Saudi Arabia's authoritarian rule down.

Hydroware Elevation Technology AB är ett företag som utvecklar styrsystem till hydrauliska hissar. Hårdvaran i detta system börjar bli gammal och går troligen ur produktion inom en snar framtid. EU har dessutom upprättat nya säkerhetsföreskrifter för installation av hissar där styrsystemet omnämns. I en grupp av hissar skall hisskorgarna isoleras från eventuella fel i övriga hissar. Med detta i åtanke har man inlett en förstudie där man tittar på ny hårdvara.

Vårt syfte var att se om man kunde upptäcka matematiksvårigheter redan på förskolan. Vi har genomfört arbetet med hjälp av litteratur, kvalitativ undersökning och diskussioner. Vi valde att lägga upp arbetet utifrån små barns matematikförståelse till att gå in på varför en del barn får svårigheter med matematiken. Slutsatsen vi drar av vårt arbete är att man kan upptäcka barn med dessa svårigheter redan på förskolan och vi får även belägg för detta genom litteraturen. Det har inte forskats så mycket om varför barn hamnar i matematiksvårigheter.

The public health care sector has come under increasing pressure to cut down costs, maximize productivity and satisfy patients' needs during the 1990s and onwards. As a way of "getting more for less" quality management has been introduced. Originating in the private manufacturing industry, quality management has a strong focus on productivity and efficiency, aspects which are measured in quantitative terms. However, there are strong concerns that quality management is a means of speeding up the marketization of public health care by introducing core values much different from the ethic and medical norms that traditionally underpin health care organizations.This essay focuses on how quality management has been introduced to, and transformed by, public health care. A theoretical framework based on new institutionalism is constructed, and translation theories are used as a way of illustrating how the medical institutional environment, in fact, changes the concept of quality management.

The Swedish Armed Forces have gone through a remarkable change. From beingan organisation built on the notion of countering a Soviet invasion it has evolvedto focusing on small, multilateral rapid reaction capabilities to be used within theframework of the European security and defence policy, ESDP.This thesis regards the change as a process of Europeanisation. Drawing fromsociological and historical institutionalism, it is shown that the Swedish ArmedForces in the post-cold war context was path dependent and unwilling to redefineits historical raison d?être. The origin of the ESDP Europeanised the nationaldefence policy, whereas the bureaucracy was still unwilling to translate the newstructural norms.

This paper studies the Swedish Alien?s Act regulations regarding individuals in need of international protection. The purpose of the essay is to examine the differences between the three grounds of protection that are found in the Swedish Alien?s Act. Central questions have been whether the origins of protection statuses granted in this act are national or international, as the UN convention relating to the status of refugees and also the progress of the European Union?s Common European Asylum System both are affecting the Swedish legislation.
