Most international organisations on the international political arena are today founded on neoliberal values, and it has developed in to the hegemonic ideology of the world. The socialistic politics of the Venezuelan president, Hugo ChĂĄvez is thereby a somewhat unusual strategy. The purpose of this essay is to examine to what extent the international debate about ChĂĄvez socialistic politic can be understood through a neoliberal perspective.

Background: The increasing globalization of business and research has led to an increased demand for international meetings. This is a market that a number of countries wish to access and the competition is fierce to get the chance to host major conferences. Stockholm has a pronounced good position in the international meeting market and this essay will examine what it takes to be a successful meeting destination for international congresses.Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to examine the fundamental factors that must be met for a meeting destination to be successful in the international market for conventions.Question at issue: How can a city develop into a more attractive meeting destination for international congresses?Method: Persons with key positions in the Stockholm meeting industry have been approached by qualitative interviews by the authors.Theory: As a theoretical framework the authors used the value of the physical meeting, generally on the congresses, the planning process for site selection for the meeting, the meeting platform and image.Conclusion: The authors' findings are based on the empirical material gathered during the study interviews. The results from these interviews show the importance of facilities and hotels, availability, and the image..

This study is a research on how dystopian features are expressed within different genres. The purpose is to discuss films that contain dystopian features in relation to genre and to examine if there are shared conventions in the films that can make dystopia a film genre on its own. The theoretical base includes genre theory and Rick Altman?s semantic/syntactic approach to film genre. Five films from different genres, all produced within the time period of 2000-2010, are analyzed with a semantic/syntactic approach to genre and then discussed in relation to dystopia and prior research.

My problem comes out of the bigger question ?why the Catholic church is featured in horror films whenever a religious organization is in one?? I have detected in the horror films that I've seen that when a religious organization is in a horror movie it's the Catholic church that gets to act as church and religion. I have chosen the following problem: How is the Catholic church presented in the horror movies The Exorcist and The Rite, and how can one understand these presentations from a role theoretic perspective?Since role theory has it's background in the world of the theater with it's actors and roles, it came naturally to use role theory, and specifically Goffmans dramatic model. I've used this model in a film analysis of the movies.

Syftet med detta arbete har varit att fÄ större insikt i hur en hÀlsosam arbetssituation kan skapas i förskolan genom att studera förskolepedagogers tankar kring och hanterande av arbetsbelastning och eventuell arbetsrelaterad stress utifrÄn studiens huvudsakliga frÄgestÀllning: hur hanterar de intervjuade pedagogerna arbetsbelastning och eventuell arbetsrelaterad stress? Jag har nÀrmat mig undersökningsomrÄdet med en kvalitativ ansats baserad pÄ intervjuer med tvÄ förskollÀrare frÄn olika förskolor. Som teoretiska redskap för tolkning av studiens resultat har jag anvÀnt mig av Sjödins (2012) forskning kring stress i förskolan, Lidholts (1999) hanteringsstrategier samt copingteori. Studien visar att de intervjuade pedagogerna arbetar förebyggande för att skapa en lugnare arbetsmiljö samt reflekterar kring hur situationer med hög arbetsbelastning kan lösas. Vidare förekommer i studien anpassningsstrategier, motstÄnds- eller kampstrategier samt problem- och kÀnslofokuserad coping som redskap för att hantera arbetets belastning och arbetsrelaterad stress..

The purpose of the thesis is to map the meaning of ?international competence? in Swedish company boards of directors. The study is divided in a qualitative part and a quantitative part. The qualitative study consists of a discourse analysis where variation in interpretative repertoires are identified to enhance the understanding of the nature of reasoning related to the meaning and importance of the issue at stake. The discourse analysis is conducted on an empirical material from 27 interviews with decision makers in recruitment processes to Swedish company boards of directors.

SvenskÀmnets kursplaner betonar att eleverna ska ges möjlighet att möta flertalet olika texttyper under sin utbildning. Film Àr ett medium som de allra flesta möter frekvent under sin fritid, att anvÀnda sig av ett sÄdant i undervisningssyfte bör ha stora motivationsrelaterade fördelar.Denna uppsats strÀvar efter att finna undervisningsmetoder som anvÀnder sig av film i utbildningssyfte, och att försöka peka pÄ arbetsomrÄden inom svenskÀmnet dÀr dessa metoder kan vara möjliga att nyttja.Uppsatsen Àr av konsumtionsart, alltsÄ har forskning konsumerats och sammanstÀllts till ett arbete. Jag har sökt och lÀst forskning inom en mÀngd omrÄden som alla kan relateras till film inom skolvÀrlden. Uppsatsen har inte avgrÀnsats till att beröra nÄgot sÀrskilt stadie av den svenska skolan, men en koppling till Àmnet Svenska finns.Ungdomarna som idag befolkar skolorna bÀr med sig mÀngder av kulturella erfarenheter nÀr de kommer, det Àr en svÄr, men viktig uppgift för skolan att ta tillvara pÄ dessa erfarenheter. Film Àr ett visuellt medium som talar till sina konsumenter pÄ mÄnga sÀtt, att ge elever förutsÀttningar att möta alla dessa meddelanden ligger Àven det inom skolan uppgift.Jag har försökt peka ut fem stycken omrÄden inom svenskÀmnet dÀr film passar sig som ett undervisningsmedium: Filmkunskap, som ger eleverna rÀtt verktyg för att tala om och resonera kring de filmer som de ser.

VÄrt syfte med denna uppsats Àr att fördjupa oss i och undersöka vilka pedagogiska möjligheter spelfilmen har i svenskundervisningen pÄ gymnasiet bland annat genom att intervjua filmkunskapslÀrare. Vi har jobbat utifrÄn olika frÄgestÀllningar dÀr den viktigaste lyder: Varför Àr det viktigt att lÄta det vidgade textbegreppet fÄ större utrymme i svenskundervisningen? Studien genomfördes med Ätta kvalitativa intervjuer med svensk- och filmkunskapslÀrare pÄ fyra olika skolor. En kvalitativ enkÀtundersökning kompletterade intervjuerna. Huvudresultatet frÄn detta arbete Àr att filmanvÀndandet skiljer sig Ät pÄ en mÀngd olika punkter i filmkunskap och svenskundervisningen samt att idag finns i stort sett alla tekniska förutsÀttningar för film i undervisningen..

Denna rapport innehÄller en redogörelse för mitt examensarbete, Charlie Äkerkarusell, som gjordes vid Carl Malmsten ? Furniture Studies, LinköpingsUniversitet, vÄren 2012. I mitt arbete undersöker jag hur man kan serietillverkaen liten produkt med hjÀlp av mallar och fixturer anpassade för film och hur mandokumenterar processen med hjÀlp av film. Jag har tittat pÄ olika filmer som rörÀmnet och olika typer av mallar för att sedan formge en liten figur vid namnCharlie, som serietillverkades i en serie av 30 stycken. Jag utförde nÄgra avmomenten i serietillverkningen med hjÀlp av en typ mall som jag konstruerade.Mallen, som jag valt att kalla för karusellmall, Àr inte den mest rationella men ÀrdÀremot betydligt mer spÀnnande och spektakulÀr Àn en traditionell mall.

The title of the final thesis is Filmic landscapes ? film as representation, tool and practice in landscape architecture. The aim of the final thesis is to investigate how film as a medium can be used to describe, interpret and manipulate the understanding of a place and its design. What kind of aspects of landscape architecture can film as a medium in a design-process emphasize or create? How can filming, as a self-standing act, contribute to the understanding of the landscape and a landscape-related design-process? The thesis is divided into two parts, one theoretical part that consists of an essay, and one practical part that consists of a 11minute long filmic reflection of the ?Glass-houses?in Kosta, Sweden, created by the Swedish designer and architect Bruno Mathsson.

Uppsatsen Ă€mnar besvara frĂ„gor om hur vĂ€lgörenhetsorganisationer arbetar för att öppna upp sin verksamhet för insyn för att pĂ„ sĂ„ vis synliggöra sitt ansvarstagande samt om det finns problem med att skapa transparens. Uppsatsens syfte Ă€r sĂ„ledes att beskriva hur en vĂ€lgörenhetsorganisation kan skapa legitimitet för sitt arbete genom transparens. För att landskapsarkitekter ska lyckas förmedla innehÄllet i förslaget med film, Àr det dÀremot viktigt att bildberÀttandet bÄde fÄngar betraktarens intresse och behÄller det. Syftet med detta arbete Àr dÀrför att undersöka filmmediets uppbyggnad och hur de berÀttarmÀssiga bestÄndsdelarna i film kan anvÀndas för att kommunicera och pÄverka upplevelsen av ett förslag som presenteras. This thesis will explore how the medium of film is treated in the recently published Swedish textbooks and how these textbooks take into account the four different aspects of Cineliteracy.Cineliteracy is a theory which advocates the necessity of students' increased cinematic knowledge by presenting the four skill areas that should be included when it comes to teaching film in school. The theory implies studentsÂŽ analytical skills, contextual knowledge and knowledge of the film canon as well as the development of students' skills to produce films. Cineliteracy theory finds support both within Swedish National Agency for Education and in recent Swedish research.This study includes investigation of eight new textbooks, adapted to the criteria for the new Swedish curriculum 2011. The analysis will be limited to textbooks for the course Swedish 1, since it is mandatory regardless of the orientation of the student?s education..
