The EU guarantees the free movement of persons. The citizens of the EU Member States have the right to move freely without barriers within the EU borders and this result in an integration of the peoples in Europe. The integration result in several international family relationships. It is not unusual in the present situation that families have international relations. For example, spouses in a married couple may have different nationality.

This essay is a product of the author?s interest in silent films from Soviet, especially, documentary films. Before the 1920?s documentary filmmaking had mostly been limited to newsreels and short scenes. Only occasional feature-length documentaries had been made.

Staten har i en avsiktsförklaring för det nya avtalet uttryckt en vilja till en förÀndring kring villkoren för att fÄ statligt stöd för filmproduktion i Sverige. En sÄ kallad teknikneutralitet skall införas som innebÀr att filmproduktioner inte lÀngre pÄ förhand behöver ha sÀkrat en biografdistribution för att fÄ statligt ekonomiskt stöd. Detta skulle kunna innebÀra en förÀndring för den svenska filmens distribution i Sverige som i nulÀget bestÄr av tÀmligen fast ordning pÄ visningsfönster, dÀr just biografdistributionen har en sÀrstÀllning.VÄr forskning behandlar svenska filmproducenters, distributörers och biografÀgares tankar och Äsikter kring distribution av svensk lÄngfilm i Sverige.

The purpose of this study is to examine modern constructions of Jane Austens work in films and in books on history of literature. The theoretical framework contains sociology of literature, cultural studies and film theory. I compared Jane Austens books Emma, Pride and prejudice and Sense and sensibility with three film versions from recent years. In the books on history of literature I studied, I found three different attitudes towards history of literature, which also influenced the interpretation of Austens novels. The stories in Austens books and in the films are similar.

This study examines how the media reports on the Pride Festival in Stockholm and what news topics and themes it prioritizes. The purpose of this paper is to examine whether the media coverage of Pride highlights political questions related to social and societal problems. One of the main focuses of the study is on how the media covers male and female homosexuality. The newspapers examined are the tabloids Aftonbladet and Expressen and the respected dailies Dagens Nyheter and Svenska Dagbladet. The study extends over three periods: 19-07-2010 to 07-08-2010, 25-07-2011 to 14-08-2011, and 24-07-2012 to 11-08-2012.Several key theories and themes frame the study.

Detta görs för att uppnÄ ökad underhÄllning och spÀnning.

3D-scanning har anvÀnds en del i spel- och filmindustrin men har tidigare varit för dyrt för att anvÀndas av datografiker i en större skala. Under de senaste Ären har en del billigare och bÀttre alternativ dykt upp och jag kommer i mitt arbete berÀtta om de olika 3D-scanningsteknikerna och diskutera vilken teknik som passar bÀst för datorgrafiker. The purpose of this study was to examine effects of hearing aid use and to do a judgment of the provement. The investigation was a pilot study and may be used in the clinic.The international form ?International Outcome Inventory for Hearing Aids? (IOI-HA) was used for data collection. Four questions were chosen from the form. These questions were answered by hearing aid users and their significant others.

The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to investigate how academic librarians experience reference work aimed at international students. International students are a growing usergroup in Swedish academic libraries. The study?s main research question is:- How do academic librarians experience reference work aimed at international students?The study was performed with a phenomenographic methodological approach where seven qualitative interviews with academic librarians were conducted.

Avsikten med vÄr undersökning Àr att undersöka lÀrares uppfattningar om filmmediet som undervisningsmaterial. Vi vill förstÄ filmmediets anvÀndningsomrÄde samt fÄ en inblick i lÀrares hantering av filmmediet i verksamheten. För att uppnÄ syftet har vi anvÀnt oss av e-enkÀter och intervjuer. PÄ skolorna tycks det finnas tekniska förutsÀttningar för att visa film och vÄrt resultat visar att oavsett Älder, kön och yttre förutsÀttningar tycks lÀrare regelbundet anvÀnda sig av filmmediet som undervisningsmaterial. Vi har Àven kommit fram till att det florerar en uppfattning om att sprÄklÀrare oftare anvÀnder sig av filmmediet i sina Àmnen Àn andra lÀrare.

During the time of membership in The European Union Swedish domestic policy has gone through many changes. A lot more political areas are being influenced by the EU policy. Today every ministry has got some sort of EU office. Swedish politicians are functioning on two arenas, domestic and European. At the same time Swedish membership has gone from being highly discussed to being a state of normality.

During this project a photographer and an illustrator have explored if a single image can communicate a bigger whole, in this case a movie. By analysing five motion pictures with visual communication theories, semiotics and colour symbolism as tools, ten images was created. These images do not only consist of symbols, but also communicate the overall feeling and colour scheme of the movie.These images have been tested in interviews with six individuals, who, except for one, work with visual communication of some kind. They have studied the communication skills of the images from their own experiences.The result of the interviews showed that all images could not communicate a movie. One reason for this was that only a few of the test persons had seen two of the selected movies.

Based on 30 years of work experience in TV and film production, I have made a phenomenological analysis of my perception of meaning in work - how it arises and how it is undermined. The story starts in my experience of early professional film making in the 1980's and describes how a change to work in TV production required the development of a new professional identity. The text also illustrates how as a female director I have managed my role in a male dominated and structured work environment. Being defined as an exception from the male norm has pushed me towards femininist reflection and the need to redefine my own work role - the generally accepted view having felt uncomfortable. An analysis of structural change in TV and film production shows how market pressures and ways of thought have increasingly invaded cultural endeavour. Professional spheres of influence are weakened, while developments in the media are characterised by a commercialism which encroaches more and more upon artistic, spiritual and moral values. This attitude, where quality is in retreat, has transformedprogramme makers from creative originators into becoming suppliers of raw material in a factory- like process geared to produce great volume at low cost.The aim of this essay is to show how changes in society and in TV and film making have affected my perception of my work.

Problem area and purposeNowadays, 2006, the downloading of music and movies is an increasingly more burning issue. But while the music industry has made great progress in using the Internet as a distribution channel the film industry has been at a standstill for several years. Recently however there has been progress in the form of a few film companies beginning to offer their customers legal ways to acquire films over the Internet. But with this progress one central question arises, which this report will try to answer; what are the important factors for selling films as the Internet moves from primarily being a information channel to also functioning as a distribution channel? The purpose is to examine what the consumers find important when purchasing film, and to establish to what degree there is a substitution effect between DVDs and downloadable films.MethodThe report is first and foremost based on an Internet survey with a total of 383 participants.
