A study of what factors are preventing condominiums from having a breakthrough on the Swedish housing market.Background:In Sweden condominiums have been discussed over and over again during the past 100 years. The government decided that on the 1st of May 2009 they would introduce a new kind of housing-form, condominiums. Ever since the new law came into force, no major changes have been done in the Swedish condominium market.

Växjö is a medium-sized town situated in the centre of the county Småland in Sweden with a good infrastructure and logistics and with a university that encourages cooperation with private and public companies. It is in this town that our case study of Småland Airport will take place. The aim of this study is to examine in which way the program of Library and Information Science at the Linnaeus University in Växjö offers knowledge that can be relevant for the staff at the airport in Växjö - Småland Airport. Using Wilsons model as our theoretical framework we examine how these two align with each other and by using a matrix that we ourselves elaborated in our analysis, we provide a clear picture of how the comparability two places comparability is represented. The result shows that there are compatible aspects to the Småland Aiports needs and what the program of Library and Information Science has to offer.

Regeringen i Sverige har länge diskuterat ägarlägenheter som ny boendeform på den svenska bostadsmarknaden. Sedan den nya lagen som tillåter ägarlägenheter infördes den första maj 2009 har inga större förändringar skådats. Ägarlägenheter kan ses som en utveckling av bostadsrätten och en liknelse vid småhusägandet. Den stora skillnaden mellan en bostadsrätt och en ägarlägenhet är att en ägarlägenhet ger ägaren full äganderätt, medan en bostadsrätt enbart ger innehavaren full nyttjanderätt. Ägaren till en ägarlägenhet har rätten att hyra ut fritt i andra hand utan övriga boendes godkännande.

This thesis work has been performed at the Division of Assembly Technology at Linköping University for a period of ten weeks. The work is part of the project ProFlexA, which is a research project in collaboration between Linköping University, Lund University, and industrial partners such as Combi Wear Parts and Smålands Stålgjuteri AB.The casting process creates random incurred burrs and defects, which must be removed during a cleaning process to make sure that the cast can be sold. Automation has long been sought for the cleaning of castings due to, among other things, poor working conditions for staff, but this has proved difficult to implement with today's technology. Automation has for some time been available for more capital strong companies with large annual volumes, but for smaller companies with small-and medium-sized volumes, automation has not been an option.The goal of ProFlexA is to develop an automated cleaning cell aimed at small-and medium-sized volumes.The goal of the thesis is to do a pre study at ProFlexA?s partners on cleaning of castings, and develop concepts for automated cleaning of castings.By recording the process and cycle times, the cleaning of castings has been documented as it works today, and on this basis, information and statistics has been compiled.

The purpose of this study is to examine and explain why three Swedish public libraries failedin their ambition to act as information services for small and medium-sized firms (SMF). To support this purpose two major assumptions are made:1) Public libraries who plan to run this kind of "business" must act with the same means as "professional" services.2) The service must be adjusted to the information needs of the customer.Based on these assumptions sixteen factors which are crucial to the "success" for this kind of service are presented.Applied to the information services of Lidkoping, Sölvesborg and Västervik, these factors reveal a number of shortcomings and mistakes made by the libraries.To understand this result these information services are seen as parts of a traditional Swedish public "library-thought". It is shown that, fundamental ideas in the way the public libraries are defined, like the responsibility to act in a neutral and democratic way, also characterised the three information services.These ideas together with the opinion of SMF as a "rational" information-consumer resulted in information services who did not meet the information-needs and information-behaviour of SMF..

I min rapport presenterar jag en fältundersökning för att hitta olika lösningar för att behandla realtidsvideo. De programmeringsgränssnitt som det främst riktar sig till är Matlab och Java. Rapporten är tänkt att ge vägledning och fungera som en guide för dem som önskar arbeta med enklare former av realtidsbehandling av video. Jag kommer dels att gå igenom rena Matlab- och javalösningar och dels visa hur olika tekniker kan kombineras för att åstadkomma ytterligare tekniker för att behandla realtidsvideo. The purpose of our essay was to illustrate how pupils in a medium-sized Swedish town in the 9th grade apprehend and explain bullying. We wanted to compare the pupils' opinions with student teachers' in college.Our questions were: How do the participants in the study define bullying? What are the characteristics of the bully and the victim of the bullying? Where, when and how does the bullying take place? What is the reason for the bullying? Are there any gender-related aspects of bullying? What is the participants? view of the teachers? role? Are there any differences between the pupils' and the teacher students' opinions about bullying, and in that case; what are the differences?We used a qualitative method by interviewing groups of pupils and teacher students. Our survey showed that the pupils' and the teacher students' opinions about bullying were similar in most cases. Bullying is when a pupil is exposed to negative actions several times.

Syftet med detta examensarbete var att studera hur bulkemulsionsprängämnen (bulkemulsioner) tenderar att penetrera sprickor. Eftersom bulkemulsioner kan variera stort i sin sammansättning och konsistens, är det av betydelse att utifrån den lokalt dominerande geologin veta vilken sammansättning bulkemulsionen bör ha. Målen med detta examensarbete var att: a) identifiera och undersöka sprickegenskaperna i Aitikgruvans berggrund, b) genom lokalt utförda fältförsök samt med teoretisk modellering, skaffa erfarenhet och utvärderingsmaterial i hur bulkemulsionen uppträder vid olika sprickvidder och c) med ledning av resultaten från arbetet, kunna ge indikationer om vilka parametrar man bör beakta gällande bulkemulsionens sammansättning och konstitution vid applikationer där tektoniska element förekommer i större omfattning. Förhoppningsvis skall resultaten leda till förståelse och nyfikenhet hos beställare och leverantörer av sprängämnen samt forskning om bulkemulsioners sammansättning vid skiftande geologiska miljöer. För att möjliggöra studier av bulkemulsionens utträngningsegenskaper på ett rättvisande sätt, föll det sig naturligt att göra försöken i full skala.

The aim with this study has been to examine and to analyze the discourse of Rosengård in Swedish media. With the concept of discourse is meant here specific ways to speak about and to understand the world, or a part of it. In order to reach increased understanding regarding media presentations and constructions of Rosengård, I have done a study about how Rosengård has been presented in the Swedish daily and evening press during the violent acts that took place in Rosengård in the spring and summer of 2008, when youths regarding to media put cars and containers on fire, and also threw stones at fire engines and other emergency service vehicles when these had to turn out to put out the fires. The collected data, containing newspaper articles, has been analyzed on the basis of the critical discourse analysis, CDA, which is a mould of a textanalytical method. This study applies a social constructivist perspective.

Syftet med detta examensarbete var att lära sig att genomföra ett programutvecklingsprojekt under realistiska förutsättningar och därigenom få erfarenheter som är relevanta för yrkeslivet. En grupp på åtta personer arbetade under en termin med ett projekt som handlade om utvecklingen av ett obemannat luftburet radiometrisystem. Ett lättare system efterfrågades för att förlänga flygtiden. Under utvecklingen tillämpades metoder från Semat, Scrum och Extreme Programming. Utvecklingsarbetet fungerade bra och en lösning för problemet togs fram, systemet hann dock inte implementeras full ut.

This degree project has been carried out by Carolina Rapp and Jenny Tauson, students at Innovation and Design Engineer program at the Faculty of Technology and science at Karlstad University.
