Ett plastobjekt, en filt, en textil pelare, en T-shirt och lite kakel är ett examensarbete där jag undersöker hur jag som designer fungerar i en verklighetsnära kontext och inom en begränsad tidsram. Jag har bett fem formgivare som jag beundrar att med helt fria händer ge mig en brief var. Brieferna har jag sedan löst på en vecka vardera. För att hålla tempot uppe och för att komma framåt har jag använt mig av olika metoder och tekniker. Projekten omfattar allt ifrån rumsliga lösningar för offentlig miljö och produkter till kreationer mot kropp.

The thesis is based on a case study of a Swedish discussion forum where survivalism and prepping is the main focus. The awareness of an abrupt and immanent breakdown together with a full and thorough preparation for any conceivable threat posed by that breakdown is what legitimizes survivalism and prepping. This preparation, or risk-proofing is 1) grounded in an isolation of the body and its predispositions from perceived risks, and 2) actualized through artefacts, theoretical and practical knowledge and awareness. Stories of the embodied survivalist are also stories of masculine and heterosexual subjects and ?the others?.

The overall purpose of this master essay is to investigate whether there is an interest among people near retirement to contribute with their knowledge and experience after they reach the defined retirement age. Furthermore, I would like to investigate if they want to continue with their old jobs, full time/part time or to do something else, which is beneficial to the society. I also want to find out how the older people view themselves to continuing to work. Also which types of social and structural barriers that might exist for them and why. The aim is also to investigate what types of knowledge and experience they believe could be used in the future community.

A?r 2002 uppho?rde kommundelsna?mnderna inom O?rebro kommun och da? togs ett politiskt beslut om att tillsa?tta processledare i sex utsatta bostadsomra?den, i bland annat Vivalla. Processledarnas huvudsakliga arbetsuppgifter var att bidra till omra?desutvecklingen i omra?dena. Tja?nsterna har successivt avvecklats och verksamhetsa?r 2013 togs processledaren bort fra?n Vivalla.

Stämmer det att ju högre resilience (återhämtningsförmåga) en individ har och ju mera av positiva känslor, desto större livsmening har hon också? Resilience är att vid psykologisk stress tillfälligt kunna gå ifrån sin vanliga nivå för självkontroll och när stressmomentet försvunnit återgå dit igen. En enkätundersökning har gjorts med 39 deltagare där variablerna resilience, positiva känslor och livsmening undersökts. Resultatet visar att både resilience och positiva känslor är positivt relaterade till livsmening. Full mediering visas för positiva känslor vilket innebär att de är en av flera möjliga mekanismer i processen mellan resilience och livsmening.

The purpose of this thesis was to design an electrical system for use in a ballistic test at the Swedish National laboratory of forensic science (SKL). The detector unit would use four main parts: coilsystem, transmitter, reciever and indicator. The coilsystem would be based on a balanced system using three coils. One that creates a magneticfield and the other two will sense the differences when a metallobject is in the coilsystem. This report starts out by investigating possible solutions for this specific task followed by a description of the physics that the metaldetector use.

Bakgrund:Allt fler svårt sjuka väljer idag att vårdas i hemmet och i och med detta får närstående en central och viktig roll. Att vara närstående till en patient i livets slutskede innebär stora påfrestningar i det dagliga livet och ett otillräckligt stöd i den sena palliativa fasen kan leda till svårbehandlad, traumatisk sorg. Många närstående beskriver känslor av ångest, sårbarhet, depression, och även isolering och ensamhet. Närstående kan behöva stöd att hantera sin svåra situation.Syfte:Syftet var att beskriva närståendes behov av stöd inom palliativ vård.Metod:Vi har genomfört en litteraturöversikt där åtta vetenskapliga artiklar har granskats och analyserats med Joyce Travelbee?s teori ?human-to-human relationship? och de fyra hörnstenarna inom palliativ vård som teoretiska utgångspunkter.

This study was performed to investigate the possibility to use ultrasonography as a diagnostic tool for sub-clinical mastitis in dairy cows. Five cows with high cell counts, and four cows with low cell counts were selected as cases and controls, respectively, and their udders examined with ultrasound during a 5 week period. The image of the udders of cows with high cell counts exhibited small, hyper-echoic, rounded foci, approximately 1 cm in diameter, near the milk cisterns and the base of the teats. These changes were not found consistently in all cows with high cell count, however. Ultrasonography may be a valuable complementary tool in the diagnosis of sub-clinical mastitis in dairy cow, but more cases need to be monitored before its full value can be ascertained..

How can a vacuum cleaner motivate you to use it? From a sustainability perspective,the author asked the question of how such a solution would looklike? These where issues that the project tackled and devised solutions for. Theproject wanted to explore the physical modeling and a large part of the finalresult consisted of a full scale model. The project found that the problem ofvacuuming largely consisted of the problem of storage the product. The projectfound that the motivation for the job, therefore, could be resolved by a betterdesigned vacuum cleaner with a built-in hose, folding handles, which couldbe stored integrated within the vacuum cleaner.

SVENSKA: Vårt kandidatarbete gick ut på att ta reda på om det var möjligt att utveckla ett kort spel i hög teknisk kvalitet och ändå skapa ett djupt intryck på spelaren. Under projektets gång utvecklade vi, med hjälp av UDK (Unreal Development Kit), ett skräckspel i 3D till PC vid namn The Horror at MS Aurora. För att erhålla den höga tekniska kvaliteten som vi var ute efter användes metoder som räknas som standard för stora speltitlar på marknaden: Animationer spelades in med Motion Capture och musiken skrevs med en full symfoniorkester i åtanke. Innan produktionsfasen tog vid gick alla gruppmedlemmarna igenom en research-fas, där var och en satte sig in i de områden som skulle komma att vara aktuella under produktionen (d.v.s. hur UDK fungerar, musikteori och orkestrationsteknik, hur man arbetar med Motion Capture-data o.s.v.).

This thesis is based on the implementation of a bilateral rural development program in Burkina Faso. The main purpose of this study was to put the actual implementation process of a bilateral development program in view. This was done by investigating how two dominant perspectives in the implementation literature can explain what in fact happens during the realization of an aid program. A further aim of the thesis was to explore the limitations of these two dominant theories, in order to get a full understanding of the complexity of the realization of an aid program. Based on the implementation theory, this study shows that the realization of an aid program can be understood from three different angles.

Ett ensamkommande barn a?r ett barn som kommer utan sina fo?ra?ldrar eller na?gon som fo?retra?der fo?ra?ldrarna. Det vanligaste ha?lsoproblemet hos ensamkommande barn a?r psykisk oha?lsa, pa? grund av bland annat traumatiska upplevelser i deras liv.

Background: The literature concerning M&A has thus far concentrated on the merging companies, and on what kind of effects an acquisition has on these companies. The effects on the involved companies´ (customers and) suppliers have largely been ignored in the M & A literature. Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to describe and analyse how the suppliers relationships to the aquired company are influenced by an acquisition and how the suppliers handle the following situation. Method: The paper has been carried out in the form of a case-study and we have interviewed some suppliers to the automotive industry. Results: The full effect on the suppliers relationships to Volvo has not been seen yet, due to the fact that only two years has passed since the acquisition and that the current products have a lifecycle of 3-5 years.

The purpose of this thesis is to explore how the internal information processing and management is carried out within a unit of Viskafors municipality. Furthermore, to explore and make recommendations of how the organisation can improve its internal information management. To get a full picture I have interviewed people at different levels of the organisation. The main findings showed that there was a dysfunction in the internal information processing and management. For example the study showed that the internal information did not reach out to the different parts of the organisation due to insufficient information processing.
