Rekursiv greyboxidentifiering av drivsystem i industrirobot.
In modern industrial robots the components in the transmission contain nonlinearities. These nonlinearities need to be to estimated either for better control or to use the parameters for diagnosis of the system. There is a lot of work done within system identification and mainly within the field of iterative parameter estimation.This thesis considers recursive grey-box identification for a nonlinear model of the transmission in an industrial robot. The nonlinearities that are identified are Friction, spring stiffnes, hysteresis and backlash. These nonlinearities are a part of the models that are presented in this thesis.
Utvärdering och implementering av automatiska farthållare i fordonssimulator
Vehicle simulators are becoming more common in vehicle industries. Company earns lot of money on simulations instead of real tests. Real tests are necessary but not made so extensively as before.In this thesis the building of an vehice simulator will be described and a comparison between three different cruise controls. The three cruise controls are PI-regulator, a regulator who regulates after positions in the terrain and a MPC-regulator. The reason for choosing this three is to see the difference between simple regulation and more complex regulation with respect to fuel consumption, travel time and complexity.The vehicle simulator is made in Matlab/Simulink, Visual Studio and Open Scene Graph.

Modellering och reglering av mjölkningsrobot
In this master thesis a robot arm belonging to an automatic milking machine from DeLaval is investigated. The robot arm is controlled by a pneumatic cylinder and a valve. The goal of the master thesis is to investigate instability problems and to find out if it is possible to solve them by using gain scheduling. Gain scheduling is a type of controller where the parameters of the controller are changed during operation, for example depending on the working point. First a nonlinear mathematical model of the system was made.

IRB 340, Flexpicker is an industrial robot used for sorting, packaging and the handling of details up to two kg. The Flexpicker is a delta robot, meaning that it with three arms controls a triangular plate, swivel, in a work area shaped like a cylinder. Joints using plain bearings connect the arms.The plain bearing in use today consists of a plastic ring which slides against a hard anodized joint ball. Despite the fact that the plastic contain Friction-lowering additives, the bearing needs to be lubricated to prevent noise. Because the robot is used in food and drug handling environments, where the demands on hygiene are set very high, the robot is often washed.

Our goal with this work is to come up with a design basis for a strip feeder.Functionally a strip feeder consists of two rollers which with the aid of the Friction between the strip and the coating on the roller create a strip force that pulls the strip through the working progress.Demands on this project:? 10 ? 600 mm in strip width and 0,1-1 mm in strip thickness.? Minimum 30m/min in production speed.? A maximum strip force on 30-40 kN.? The cost of the strip feeder?s components is to be considered of economy and quality.The need of a strip feeder occurs when the coil doesn?t manage to feed or pull the strip before or after a working process. The strip can otherwise be exposed by a permanent yield deformation or a change in the strip material if it?s pulled trough the working process only by the on ? and of-coils.

Våta kopplingar används i automatiska transmissioner för att överföra vridmoment. De primära komponenterna i en våt koppling är de oljesmorda pappersbaserade friktionslamellerna och separationslamellerna gjorda av stål. Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) utvecklar och bygger automatiska powershifttransmissioner med våta kopplingar till sina anläggningsmaskiner. Volvo CE och Luleå Tekniska Universitet (LTU) bedriver tillsammans forskning om våta kopplingar som involverar pappersbaserade friktionsmaterial. De två vanligast förekommande materialen i produktion, i detta examensarbete benämnda som material A och B, testades i en testrigg på LTU.

AbstractThis bachelor thesis has been assigned by the company ACG Nyström, Borås. ACG Nyström is working in cooperation with a Swiss company named Jentschmann AG. Jentschmann is a manufacturer of ultra sonic welding machines which ACG Nyström is marketing in Scandinavia and the Baltic States. On behalf of Jentschmann AG the company has the aim to introduce the ultra sonic welding technique to new companies.The aim of this thesis is to compare traditional sewing machines with ultra sonic welding machines within two textile areas, protective clothing and outdoor living.Two investigative questions have been formulated for this purpose: what are the differences between a sewing machine and an ultra sonic welding machine? Is it possible to replace the sewing technology with ultra sonic welding? These stand as guidance for this paper.To gather knowledge interviews, literature studies, and tests on two different ultra sonic welding machines were performed.

De senaste årens långa och kalla vintrar har lett till ett ökat antal halkolyckor. Genom att undersöka halkolyckors utsträckning samt halkskydd som fanns tillgängliga konstaterades det att ett behov av nya halkskydd fanns. Enkäter för att ge svar på användning av halkskydd togs fram och svar från personer i åldrarna 20-65 visade att man överlag inte använde halkskydd. I stor utsträckning berodde det på halkskyddens dåliga kvalité och den negativa stämpeln som fanns på dem . Textila material undersöktes för att finna lämpliga egenskaper.
Varmsmidning av aluminiumlegering 6026 T9 : Warm forging of aluminum alloy 6026 T9
In this project forging of aluminum alloy Al 6026 T9 has been performed in the temperature range of 400 °C ? 470 °C. The alloy which was in the shape of a cylindrical billet was formed in a press with the aim of analyzing the effect of different forging temperatures and required press load for optimal die filling. The component?s dimensions were later measured and compared to a reference piece.

The purpose of this study was to build a database for point-bearing piles in dense noncohesive soil, predominantly moraine. Further, the database was analysed and areas with difficult geotechnical conditions was identified.The database includes for point-bearing piles driven to refusal in moraine. Piles with mainly shaft Friction have been excluded. Only concrete piles have been included. Geographically the database covers almost all geotechnical conditions of Sweden.

In my degree project I have focused on how to make it easier for ambulance personnel to remove a motorcycle helmet after an accident. During my research I have interviewed ambulance personnel from different cities and a trauma surgeon to get a better understanding of how they work today and the problems they experience. Some of the problem areas are that you need a lot of force to remove the helmet, that the padding catches the ears and that the chin guard catches the face. Since ambulance personnel always assume that there is a neck injury after an accident, all these problems make it difficult to remove the helmet safely.The result is a motorcycle helmet with a focus on safe removal after an accident, to reduce the risk of worsening a neck injury. The solution suggested is that a small part of the back of the helmet is detachable, to make the opening larger.

Radialtätning till Retarder
This thesis has the overall objective to develop the optimum sealing system between the retarder and transmission. Today, there is a pressure-relief and two radial seals separation between the retarder and transmission. It has been found that carbon residue formation may occur between retarder axle and seal lips with, in some cases, leakage as a result.We have in this thesis tried to explain the phenomenon of carbon residue, how it is formed and why it can be seen just on the seals? A rig test was conducted where we show how Friction, speed, transmission temperature and mitigation phases of the retarder affects temperatures in the sealing environment. Factors affecting the coke structure are reported, together with proposals for measures that provide a mitigating seal environment.
