Den här uppsatsen studerar och analyserar begreppen ?determinism?, ?fri vilja? och ?moraliskt ansvar?, speciellt i Leibniz Theodicy. I uppsatsens första del utreds och preciseras begreppen vilket är nödvändigt för att sedan, i andra delen, kunna analysera Leibniz teori utifrån dem. Leibniz utgår från att Gud som har skapat jorden och i och med detta även bestämt alla dess förlopp (den förutbestämda harmonin), han anser dock att detta är förenligt med människans fria vilja. Enligt Leibniz är frihet att handla i enlighet med sin natur.

The aim of the study is to investigate the relationship between text and picture in two works by Sven Nordqvist, with the focus on how the action is propelled. The two works are compared in order to bring out any differences in the relationship and what significance this can have for the interpretation. The study also considers the theory of conceptual worlds to examine how the books can promote pupils? literary understanding. The method of analysis is based on Rhedin?s (2001) theoretical concepts and elements of Nikolajeva?s (2000) terminology.

The aim of this thesis has been to analyze and interpret several different discourses in Japan and from the findings see how the Ainu people and their existence in Japan have been defined in today's Japan and in who's interest it is to keep it this way. My findings was that the Japanese nation in all channels of society are reinforcing and perpetuating the belief that it constitutes an ethnically homogenous nation and that there exists no ethnic problems in the country. I found that schoolbooks don?t give adequate information about the Ainu people and its history, and the Japanese press is reinforcing the status quo by their selective silence and limited coverage on issues concerning the Ainu. The government has defined and legitimized the problem of Ainu within the framework of culture and tradition.

Vad har de för kunskaper, förväntningar och behov? Stora webbplatser innehåller mycket information och denna information måste struktureras för att folk enkelt skall kunna hitta den information de söker. Region Skåne lanserade år 2005 Vårdgivarwebben. En webbplats med syfte att förse alla vårdgivare i regionen med gemensam hälso- och sjukvårdsrelaterad information. Webbplatsen innehåller ett rikt och varierat informationsmaterial.

Denna uppsats är en fallstudie som behandlar de medlingsförsök som gjorts i konflikten i Liberia. Syftet är att med hjälp av olika teorier om medling hitta förklaringar till varför medlingen misslyckats. Vår huvudsakliga frågeställning är varför de otaliga försöken att medla till en konfliktlösning inte har lyckats? Vi ser även på hur andra internationella och regionala aktörer som FN, ECOWAS och USA har påverkat fredsavtalen.Vårt resultat visar på att det internationella samfundets med USA och FN i spetsen inte varit speciellt aktiva i konfliktens tidiga skede. Detta har lett till att ingen tillräcklig press har satts på parterna i förhandlingarna och avtalen därför har misslyckats.

Natten mellan den 19 och 20 mars 2003 inledde koalitionstrupper Operation Iraqi Freedom. Detta var slutet på det som kom att gå till historien som Irakkrisen.30 år tidigare formulerade Graham Allison en teori, i form av tre modeller, för att förklara utrikespolitiskt agerande utifrån Kubakrisen. Vi har prövat huruvida Allisons teori fortfarande kan förklara utrikespolitiskt agerande genom att pröva den på Irakkrisen. Detta har operationaliserats genom en systematisk genomgång av tillgängligt material som behandlar uppsatsämnet.Efter att ha betraktat Irakkrisen utifrån Allisons tre olika modeller kan vi konstatera att teorin fortfarande är bärkraftig. Dock behövs viss komplettering till den 30 år gamla teorin ? i form av en inrikespolitisk analys, bredare organisationsanalys samt en djupare value- och beliefsystem-analys ? för att kunna åstadkomma en fylligare undersökning som förenar Allisons modeller med dagens verklighet..

Every now and then new political ideas appear which creates debate. A current example of political debate is the one which concerns the creation of a feminist political party in Sweden -Feministiskt initiativ. Apparent in the current debate is that there are two existing conflicts of ideas present. The liberal thought of politics of ideas stands against feminism's demand for presence in the political life. And the other, the conflict which concerns the question of where a line between the public and the private spheres should be drawn.

Helsingborg är en dynamisk stad som utvecklas och expanderar enormt. Befolkningen ökar ständigt, handeln blomstrar och många har en positiv uppfattning av staden. Den har en mängd bra egenskaper och ett rikt nöjesutbud. Helsingborg kan emellertid upplevas som en hemlig stad eftersom det i princip bara är de boende som känner till vad som erbjuds. För många andra kan stadens egenskaper förbli dolda.

Det finns ett behov av personer som klarar av att generera en mängd fräscha, slitstarka och kreativa idéer under press. Denna undersökning omfattar hur mångsidiga Art directors kan arbeta för att framställa och producera material som håller hög standard. Fyra Art directors har intervjuats och givit sin åsikt i ämnet. Utifrån resultaten av intervjuerna och en mängd kreativa tekniker har vi utfört en grundläggande idéprocess. Resultatet av denna process är en konstutställning där vi har skapat ett koncept med fokus på miljö och framtid.

In 2012 blogging reached an all time high in Sweden. Around 400,000 people made blog posts at least one time during this year. Blogs have publishing as a main purpose and can after publication be read by anyone with a computer, smartphone or tablet with an Internet connection. This makes the blogger open to response through comments that can be either constructive or destructive. No research has been made regarding blog comments and their effect on bloggers and their writing process.

Postmodernism and neo-liberalism is often thought of as two opposite conceptions of the reality and the world. This thesis takes on a critical view of this assertion and the main purpose was to perform a correlation between postmodernism and neo-liberalism. With different theoretical assumptions about constructions of thoughts, agency and structure and the welfare-state a theoretical framework was created. According to this framework the two isms were correlated to each other and the welfare-state to see if there where similarities or dissimilarities between the isms. The assumptions of this thesis are that there are correlations between postmodernism and neo-liberalism in the constructions of thoughts, namely similar view on epistemology.

Från misstro till möten. Hinder och möjligheter i kommunikationen mellan Lunds universitet och rikstäckande dagspress.Lunds universitet är Sveriges största universitet med ca 6 000 anställda och 40 000 studenter och bedriver utbildning på flera olika orter. Man kommunicerar med en rad olika målgrupper, varav en av de viktigaste externa målgrupperna är journalister inom radio, tv och dagspress. Sammanfattningsvis ställer detta mycket stora krav på kommunikationsarbetet och det gäller därför att optimera sin publicitet.Under hösten planerar Lunds universitet att utveckla sin presskommunikation och vårt uppdrag är ett led i detta utvecklingsarbete. Rapporten syftar därför till att fungera som ett beslutsunderlag för Informationsenheten vid Lunds universitet..

We have studied the effects that blogs have on the society through interviews with influential bloggers, a news director and the founder of Sweden?s largest blogprovider.Existing theoretical work by other researchers have been used as a starting point to our thesis. Via a deductive method we then proceeded to test these existing models and viewpoints on the reality.Through our research we have concluded that blogs, if they co-operate, have an agenda-setting function, and that they can affect newspapers to write about certain topics.We have also discussed blogs role as media watch dogs. Gunilla Sax, news director, questions the blog world?s ability to fully cover all media, and to deliver a systematic and just review of the media.

The aim of this Master's thesis is to study what place public libraries have in local politics, particularly from the point of view of the politicians. To answer this, I have interviewed politicians, participated as a silent observer of a public debate, and studied articles on library politics in newspapers and other press. The results show that politicians in general have a positive view of libraries and good co-operation with library professionals, and that they have a fairly up-to-date view of libraries. They are, however, less interested in library issues in general, and are often complacent with the way things are already running. The newspaper studies show that library issues are usually only discussed when a specific library is somehow in danger.

The aim of this study is to examine the democratization process of Kosovo in the years after the countries independence was assured. Two central questions for the case study consist of whether a democratic improvement in the country has occurred and which factors, positive and negative, are present to further improve or impede the democratizationprocess. The study builds upon two central definitions, democratic states and democratization in order to gain theoretical background to be able to measure these two quite abstract expressions. A socioeconomic model is used to measure favorable or negative developments within Kosovos society and the findings of this model confirms the hypothesis of modernization theory, namely that increased socioeconomic development increases the chance of a positive democratizationprocess. There has been a positive democratic development aswell as socioecomic progress but since the nature of this study is merely descriptive and not explanatory, it doesnt make claims on the explanatory power of modernization theory.
