The purpose of this study was to explore nurses' experiences of obstructed airways in the prehospital work.A qualitative interview study with a descriptive and explorative design was used. The sample consisted of nine registered nurses whereof three were women and six were men, with or without further education and varying length of experience in the ambulance service.Prehospital personnel builds up a vast plan of action based on the emergency information provided by SOS. Simple methods for managing obstructed airways were stated often enough. Problems with obstructed airways are considered so unusual that it never becomes a routine. Several factors affect the identification and managing of obstructed airways, both external factors and the different patient categories are considered important.

Aim: The aim for this study of Swedish daily press is to see how the musical reporting is structured for the newspapers I have chosen to analyse. My main purpose is to investigate how the newspapers reporting are distributed between artists who belong to either a major record company or an independent record company. With this research I want to find out if there are any economic backgrounds to the content and if the reporting is equal to the market production.Method/Material: For this study I have studied, by quantitative research, every piece of musical reporting in seven daily newspapers for two weeks. Through thorough research I have determined the belonging of every article?s record company.

Affärssystem är idag mer aktuellt än någonsin. Behovet av snabbare och mer uppdaterad informationsdelning för att stödja integrationen i ett företag har visat sig vara en av de främsta anledningarna till att efterfrågan på affärssystem ökar. Ett affärssystem kan förbättra ett företags förmåga att känna av marknadsförändringar. Även om affärssystem ökar inom detaljhandeln är forskning om affärssystem i detta sammanhang begränsat. Arbetet inleddes med datainsamling.

På senare år har spelmöjligheterna och aktiviteterna på Internet exploderat kraftigt och indikationer visar på ett ökat spelintresse. Syftet med detta examensarbete var att, med hjälp av en webbenkät, undersöka förekomsten av programstudenters nätspelsvanor vid Luleå tekniska universitet. Antalet programstudenter som genomförde webbenkäten, vilken baserades på South Oaks Gambling Screen (SOGS-R), var 675 och av dessa hade 252 satsat pengar på nätspel. Resultaten visade att de programstudenter som nätspelar utan problem var ca 31,8%, problemspelare ca 3,7% och troliga spelberoende/patologiska spelare ca 0,8%..

Bakgrund: Barnfetma är ett växande problem i världen och behandlas på olika sätt. Studier har visat att ju yngre barnet är när behandling sätts in, desto bättre blir resultatet. En allt vanligare behandling är beteendeterapi som involverar föräldrar i större utsträckning. Barns viktutveckling påverkas till stor del av hur föräldrarna möter olika utmaningar kopplade till livsstilsrelaterade beteenden i sin uppfostran av barnet.Syfte: Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur föräldrar till normalviktiga respektive överviktiga barn upplever olika beteenden hos barnet kopplat till mat och stillasittande samt hur självsäkra de är på att hantera dessa. Syftet var även att jämföra svenska föräldrars upplevelser och självförtroende med resultaten från motsvarande studier som tidigare gjorts i Nederländerna och Australien.Metod: En enkätundersökning gjordes bland föräldrar (n=196) till fyra och femåriga barn i Stockholmsområdet efter ett icke slumpmässigt urval.Resultat: Svenska föräldrar i den undersökta gruppen upplevde generellt få problem med barns beteenden kring mat och stillasittande.

Participation is central to the concept of democracy. The role of the civic participation varies with different types of democracy, but a fundamental requirement is that the participation is free and equal. In spite of this, there are significant differences between possibilities to democratic participation in Sweden today.This essay seeks to understand how disability, historically and still today, is constructed as a social deviation from normality, and is constructed to Otherness.One way to regard freedom and equality is to examine the personal autonomy, the legth to wich a person decides her/his roles and activities in abcence of external limitations. Personal autonomy is theoretically central in deliberative and strong democracy, but should reasonobly be a demand for the fundamental definition of democracy.The explanation to why the lack of personal autonomy is accepted, is that the construction of Otherness results in that the persons are categorized and are given simplified characteristics, and are thereby not accepted as equivalent people.In the inteviews conducted, seven politicians contribute both whiteness, pathological discourses regarding disability and ideas of normality through discussing democracy, participation and disability. Simultaniously, they express interest and an awareness on the majority's power and symbolic violence on the minority..

Stress på arbetsplatsen relaterat till många inkommande och utgående kommunikationskanaler är ett reellt problem. Applikationer som samlar alla kanaler i samma verktyg kan hjälpa till på det här området. För att förenkla vid utveckling av en sådan applikation kan ett modulärt system skapas, där varje modul ser liknande ut och enkelt kan kopplas in i en huvudapplikation. Den här studien undersöker de problem som kan uppstå när flera tjänster ska integreras, mer specifikt genom att titta på hur en befintlig modul för e-post via Google Apps kan porteras för att stödja e-post via Microsoft Office 365. Arbetet har skett enligt metoder för testdriven portering och varje steg i porteringen har dokumenterats noggrant.

De senaste decennierna har stressen ökat väsentligt i vårt samhälle. Det finns flera olika samverkande orsaker till detta. Arbetslivet är en betydande källa till stress, särskilt inom vissa yrkesområden. Vårdpersonal arbetar ofta i en stressig miljö vilket kan leda till stressrelaterade problem. Dessa problem kan förekomma i varierande grad och yttra sig på olika sätt.

Denna uppsats behandlar gemensam litteraturläsning och litteratursamtal. Syftet var att utreda litteraturläsningen och litteratursamtalets funktion och möjliga svårigheter i undervisningen. Sammantaget pekar resultatet i studien på att lärarna uppfattar den känslomässiga och personliga utvecklingen, som den primära funktionen i arbetet med gemensam litteraturläsning och litteratursamtal. Vidare ansåg lärarna att skillnaden i elevernas läskapacitet och svårigheterna att skapa ett givande litteratursamtal är de största svårigheterna vid användandet av gemensam litteraturläsning och litteratursamtal..

Abstrakt -  As energy prices rise, energy-saving in buildings is becoming increasingly important. By applying different construction and installation technologies, to new buildings the energy consumption can be reduced effectively, compared to similar existing buildings. These technical measures are often an investment in the long term and will reduce energy costs significantly. The purpose of this report is to show how to reduce energy consumption in a small house. It is presented in this report that both building's technical saving arrangements (the sealing of a building) and an installation technical arrangement (changing from the F-system to the FTX-system) would reduce energy consumption in newly built detached houses, if compared with a similar existing house but without these technical measures. The report presents also detailed calculations showing how much energy an existing 2-storey house, built in the year 2007 in Eskilstuna, consumes and how much energy would be saved if these corrective measures were applied to a new building. It is also reported how much money would be saved each year over a 10 year period if the measures were applied. The results show that both solutions are a good investment in the reduction of energy consumption and hence the cost involved. Keywords: energy, heat energy, infiltration, FTX-system, free temperature effectively. .

The aim of the study was to show whether or not there exists, and if so, to understand, a common creativity, vision and imagination of the members of Småland?s Entrepreneurial Academy?s organisation.The method used for this research is the fictive narrative collage , which consists of the collection of fictive stories. The author has also made her own additions to the method. A composer composes songs to the narratives, two artists illustrate the narratives. The research is carried out on the total population within Småland?s Entrepreneurial Academy which consists of 10 permanent members of the organisation.The theory focuses on different areas, such as creativity, vision and imagination as well as on the entrepreneur and the organisation.

The purpose of this study is to explore the relations between foster parents and their foster children, what kind of motivation there is behind their involvement in foster children, how they experience the commission and what good parenting mean to them. The study is including eight foster parents. They have experience of both long and short placement of foster children. The results show that all these foster families have at least one child that they have a good relationship with. It is important to know that those children either have spent many years in foster families or arrived to foster families when they were very young or as infants.

Problem Hur bör ett företag gå tillväga för att medarbetare och organisationskultur ska samspela med strategin? Vilka problem och möjligheter uppkommer när medarbetare, strategi och kultur ska anpassas till varandra? Syfte Genom att utgå från Strategi-Medarbetare-Kultur-modellen (Larsson et al 2003) ämnar vi utifrån ett fallföretag undersöka om och hur medarbetare, organisationskultur och strategi samspelar i en förändringssituation. Vi vill undersöka vilka möjligheter och problem företag ställs inför då passform mellan de tre delarna ska uppnås. Metod Utgångspunkten i vår teoretiska referensram är Strategi-Medarbetare-Kultur-modellen. För att bygga upp ett teoretiskt ramverk för vår studie har vi fokuserat sökandet på litteratur om SHRM och de tre kapitalen.

The purpose of this master's thesis is to examine how the public library communicates with young users through the library web sites. Four Swedish public library web pages for children are analysed. In the analysis the web pages are treated as a combination of semiotic resources that, communicating as a whole, hold a meaning potential. In order to identify the underlying meaning of the whole I have applied the tools of Kress' & van Leeuwen's visual social semiotics to the chosen web pages.The information value, the framing and the salience of each composition is examined and analysed, as is the size of frame, the perspective and the vertical angle of a selection of images from each web page. The results of the semiotic analysis are then discussed and related to Jochumsen et al:s four space-model and the notion of ?child perspective? and ?empowerment?.The results show that the child perspective is strongest on the web pages that represent the performative space as dominating and that empowerment is mainly represented as ?doing?, ?participating? and the ?free choice?.
