Dagens skola har sin utgångspunkt i att verka för en skola för alla. Detta innebär att somliga elever behöver extra insatser för att klara utbildningsmålen. Ett stöd som finns att tillgå är elevassistenter. Syftet med denna forskning är att öka insikten i lärare och elevassistenters syn på samverkan, samt hur den kan utvecklas för att i slutändan gagna elever i behov av särskilt stöd. Studien är gjord utifrån en kvalitativ forskningsmetod genom djupintervjuer med tre lärare och tre elevassistenter.

This is a graduate work at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, The Department of Urban and Rural Development, Ultuna. The purpose of this paper has been to find out and describe principles for designing parks that offers good recreational and aesthetical values and require little amount of carbon dioxide emissions during their maintenance. The purpose has also been to see if it's possible to use city wastewater in some extent to assure the plants water supply and to find other means to make it less necessary to use purified water for watering. Recently made studies as well as older ones show how important green areas are in dense city structures both from a health and a climate perspective. Trees and other plants adsorbs different forms of air pollution and can also lower the temperature in the surrounding area through their transpiration.

The purpose of this thesis was to investigate whether publiclibraries language cafés can support or enable the empowerment of the participants. Empowerment means that the individuals ability to take control of their own lives is strengthened and that the individual becomes more independent. Empowerment also means that the individual takes part in a community. An important part of this is the language. I have developed two research questions: What forms of empowerment can be seen in the respondents' statements? What role do language cafés play for people from other countries, in terms of empowerment? The thesis empirical material consists of interviews whit five people involved in different languages cafes in public libraries in the city of Malmö.

This essay is about democracy and how a democracy index can be used as a tool to illustratethe gap between reality and ideal. The purpose of this study can be expressed by two researchquestions: Does the Economist Intelligence Unit's (EIU) democracy index illustrate thedistance between reality and the ideal of democracy presented by Dahl? and Can the EIU'sdemocracy index be modified by a) internal adjustments and b) using the variables includedin World Economic Forum?s (WEF) equality index?By using a combination of theories (Dahl?s theory of democracy, Rawls theory of justice andchosen theories critical to liberal democracy) as an analytical framework the following twoquestions have been answered:1) Which of the variables included in the EIU's democracy index have the potential to capturethe level of political equality?2) Which of the variables included in the WEF?s equality index have the potential to capturethe degree of political equality?By using a quantitative method the study?s third and last question has been answered:3) How strong is the rank correlation between the EIU?s democracy index and the WEF?sequality index, that is; how strong is the rank correlation coefficient (rho)?The data presented by the WEF?s equality index indicate that women are systematicallydiscriminated against as a group. From a democratic perspective the EIU may need tomeasure inequalities at a group level in order to capture the lack of political equality betweenindividuals. By reformulating some of the EIU?s variables, by revising the EIU?s point systemand by using the variables included in the WEF's equality index to extend EIU?s democracyindex, the chances of capturing the gap between reality and the ideal of democracy presentedby Dahl would likely increase..

Syftet med följande arbete var att undersöka lekarbetspedagogers uppfattning om lekarbetets betydelse, när det gäller utveckling och lärande hos barn till utlandsfödda föräldrar, utanför Skandinavien. Vi analyserade vårt arbete utifrån ett salutogent perspektiv. Arbetet ger en översikt över lek, lekarbete och lekarbetspedagogik. Med hjälp av intervjuer undersökte vi lekarbetspedagogers inställning till lekarbetets betydelse för barn till utlandsfödda föräldrar. Vi tog också reda på intervjupersonernas uppfattning om det fanns något område hos barn som utvecklades särskilt positivt under lekarbetet.

Livsmedelsverket utformade 2005 fem kostråd för att främja bra matvanor hos befolkningen. En studie på uppdrag av Livsmedelsverket visade att det fanns glapp mellan kostråden och befolkningens matvanor. Vidare har forskning visat att kännedom om kostråd ökar förutsättningarna för goda matvanor. Undersökningen Känner du till de fem kostråden? syftade till att ta reda på vad de anställda på ett hotell känner till om Livsmedelsverkets fem kostråd och undersöka konsumtionen av frukt, grönsaker och fisk samt valet av bröd, matlagningsfett och nyckelhålsmärkta produkter i förhållande till kostråden.

Denna uppsats handlar om hur inkludering kan förstås och beskrivas. När politiker formulerar förändringar i skolan tolkas detta av skolornas huvudmän, rektorer och pedagoger. Förändringen förväntas sedan realiseras i skolan. Uppsatsens empiri bygger på tolkningar av specialpedagoger/-lärares meningskonstruktioner av inkludering i en mellanstor svensk kommun. Definitioner av inkludering i specialpedagogisk forskning utgår bl.a.

Syftet med vår undersökning är att övergripande synliggöra den dominanta roll ett barn kan ha eller få i en grupp. Vi valde att observera i två olika klasser i de lägre åldrarna på en F-6 skola. För att få syn på den dominanta rollens egenskaper så använde vi oss av bland annat videoinspelning. Videoinspelningen gav oss material som kom så nära den naturliga miljön i gruppen som möjligt. Först när vi började observera såg vi inte några av de egenskaper som vi trodde karaktäriserade den dominanta rollen.

AbstractGlobalisation has lead to changes on many levels of our society; -industrial, technological, and corporate to name a few. This is an ongoing process which affects the society we live in today. The process is affecting the working-conditions for everyone through the changes of the relations on the working market. The unions have enjoyed a very special role in Sweden for a long time, but that role is now affected by these changes. The relationship between state and unions is changing, and the unions? influence in politics is decreasing.

I have through qualitative interviews and analysis of previous research in the area searched answers to what tablets are used for in preschools and the reason why they are used in this way. In addition, it examines the similarities and differences there are in how teachers and children describe the use of the tool in preschool. The study is also looking for answers on whether and how the plates are used to develop children's scientific knowledge. There are six teachers and 14 children's statement that forms the basis for the analysis. The results indicate that tablets are used for two purposes.

Den här uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka hur anställdas kompetens ochkompetensutveckling på ett konstruktivt sätt kan behandlas i ett företagsutvecklingssamtal.En teoretisk bakgrund som behandlar de två huvudområdena kompetens ochutvecklingssamtal författades och följdes av en fallstudie på ett medelstort it-företag.Den empiriska studien bestod av intervjuer med mellanchefer och företagsledning.Kompetens kan sägas bestå av teknisk kompetens och social kompetens. Den tekniskabeskriver förmågan att lösa en uppgift och den sociala kopplas till förmågan attfungera ihop med andra människor. En korrekt bedömning är viktigt för att kunnautveckla kompetens i linje med individens och företagets behov.

För att nå ut med sin åsikt måste man uttrycka sig på rätt sätt och i rätt forum. Fenomenet som studerades var heterosexualitet som norm utifrån en vårdvetenskaplig teoretisk referensram där vårdrelationen utgjorde den studerade kontexten. Syftet med studien var att skapa ökad förståelse för hur heterosexualitet som norm påverkar vårdrelationen. Metoden som tillämpades var litteraturstudie och en kvalitativ innehållsanalys utfördes utifrån sju utvalda vetenskapliga artiklar. Resultatet pekade på sjuksköterskans oförmåga att upprätta en god vårdrelation. Problem uppkom på grund av sjuksköterskans osäkerhet och oförmåga att agera professionellt.

This is a study of the way power relationships change when women start to play candombe in Montevideo, Uruguay. Candombe is a type of music, which is traditionally played by men within the black minority in the country. This study has been done with an intersectional point of view, taking the social categories gender, class and ethnicity in account. The method used was participatory observation in a field study made in Montevideo between November 2008 and February 2009.This study?s main conclusions are that the power relationships change with the participation of women in candombe in several important ways: The women legitimize an alternative way to be a woman when they take the men?s role as a drum player.

Preporsition for bachelor thesis project, working from the inside and out. Emphasising spatial quality and experience, More or less ignoring form and program. I?ve had issues with these aspects in earlier project, the form or the program takes alot of place in the project. I haven?t tried this approach before, it?s an attractive thought to allow the project take a form of it?s own, enclosing those spaces i create.The initial concept was to place the pools on the ground (not digging them into the ground) making them volumes that divide and define spaces.
