The purpose of this study is to describe how the employee appraisal is perceived by managers, employees and representatives from human resources departments. The empirical material con-sists of 15 interviews: respondents were two representatives of the human resources departments, four unit managers and nine employees who work at a state institution or municipal management. In the study, I adopt a sociocultural perspective, with the communicative relational perspective. The latter is a special education perspective in which the interpenetration of participation, com-munication and learning emphasized.The result shows that the majority of employees would like to see that the talks will be held more frequently than once a year. One of the managers has in cooperation with his co-workers devel-oped a model based on that each year, in addition to salary talks, have an individual conversation, a conversation with each group and individual follow-up talks.

Syftet med det här arbetet är att ta reda på om det finns skillnader i hur manliga och kvinnliga användare skriver på Twitter. Genom att skapa kategorier som bygger på språkskillnader som visats i tidigare forskning kategoriseras totalt 300 tweets. Utöver skillnaderna mellan manlig och kvinnlig skrift vägs även Twitter som forum in i analysen. Kategorierna är utformade för att identifiera typiska språktendenser på Twitter. Jämförelser mellan hur kvinnor och män använder sig av förkortningar, förenklingar och engelska inslag i sina tweets är exempel på kategorier som analyseras.

Most of the stoma-operated persons must work themselves through difficult feelings. The task for the nurse is to deliver a care that promotes as much independence as possible. The aim of this literature review was to illuminate how the self-care agencies affect the well-being for the persons who are operated for stoma. A systematic literature study was done based on eleven scientific studies. Three categories, which describe how self-care agencies affect the physical, psychological and social well-being, are presented in the result.

Stroke is a widespread disease in Sweden. Nurses play a central part for those who suffer from a stroke irrespective of where in the care chain they meet. To be able to meet the patients? need of care the nurse must understand his/her lifeworld. Each and every patient is unique and the experience of being struck by a stroke depends on personality and life situation.

The purpose of my study was to find out how staff in after-school activities thinks they work with norms and values, we may call this values education, and how this in turn may influence children's norms and values. By extension, how children are socialized with each other and develop socially. In my research, I have interviewed five of the after-school activities staff who work with children aged 6-9 years at a school in the neighbourhood Rinkeby-Kista in northwestern Stockholm.The results show that after-school activity according to the staff can play a very important and sometimes crucial role in children's social development. Staff believes that if they do not learn the social rules by participating in playing and games in early childhood, when growing up they are outside and cannot participate. By their pedagogical approaches, in terms of values and norms, the adults in after-school activities can help children to become socialized into a community of solidarity and eventually as adults become responsible citizens able to function and participate in society..

Bakgrund: Det finns olika uppfattningar om vad som definierar debatten om den politiskaekonomin. Frågan är i vilken riktning kausaliteten går, från normer till debatt och politik, frånförutsättningar till normer eller från politik till debatt och normer.Syfte: Mitt syfte är att undersöka i vilken riktning kausaliteten har gått angående debatten om denekonomiska politiken i Sverige genom att undersöka om den har tagit en mindre liberal riktningefter den ekonomiska krisen år 2008.Metod: Jag har undersökt krönikor och ledare i två svenska dagstidningar år 2006 och 2009 för attse om debatten har förändrats. För att analysera artiklarna har jag använt mig av fem kärnprinciperför den ekonomiska liberalismen som jag har konstruerat ett analysverktyg av.Resultat: Materialet jag undersökte gav ingen entydig bild om vilken riktning kausaliteten har. Vikan se vissa indikatorer på att både normer och ekonomiska förutsättningar styr hur debatten går dären av tidningarna ändrade tongången i debatten medan den andra stod oförändrad. Undersökningenbäddar dock för vidare forskning och metoden kan med fördel användas på ett större material ochäven på andra forum där den politiskt ekonomiska debatten förs..

Borglund et al. (2012) argues that today it is becoming increasingly important for companies to work with CSR because stakeholders are more engaged in issues related to social responsibility and the environment. However, much research shows that it does not play a major role how companies work with CSR issues if the information does not reach the final consumer. The focus of this paper is therefore to examine how some of the major clothing companies communicate about their work with CSR issues and if consumers believe that they have the information needed to make an informed purchasing decision that support sustainable development in the garment industry. Our study has among other things found evidence that companies doesn?t reach out with information about their work with CSR.

Syftet med det här examensarbetet var att undersöka samtalsgrupper i skolan. Vi ville veta om de är ett fungerande verktyg, för att ge barnen en plattform i deras utveckling av värderingar och social kompetens. Vidare ville vi veta hur grupputveckling fungerar ur ett psykologiskt perspektiv, för att därmed kunna möta de fenomen som uppstår när en grupp agerar.Vi har använt oss av facklitteratur med skolan som utgångspunkt för att skaffa oss kunskap om grundläggande grupputveckling. I den undersökande delen har vi valt att studera tjej- och killsnacksverksamheten. Vi har intervjuat sex gruppledare, två barn och gjort elevenkäter på tre skolor.Med detta material som grund, har vi funnit ett starkt intresse bland barn och personal för samtalsgrupper.

The intention of this thesis is to examine "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and its position and functions in the public sphere. Particularly interesting aspects are like the linking of private and public issues, the show's potential as a forum for debate and dissemination of knowledge, and what types of criticism the show has been subjected to. The methods used dealt with the textual aspects of the show. Semiotic analysis and conversation analysis were applied to five episodes and a search of literature was made. The thesis rests on theories concerning television studies and talk shows, in addition to theories on modernity and identity.

The aim of this study was to evaluate parents and course leaders'perceptions of ComHome, a course in communication for parents. Thecourse aims to change the interaction between the parent and the child in aselected play activity based on a defined goal and agreed methodology. Thedata consisted of four group interviews and an individual interview with atotal of 12 parents and course leaders. The interviews were transcribed andcontent analyzed. The study showed that parents and course leadersconsidered goal attainment scaling as a rewarding approach.

Introducing a new type of IT-structure means a change that employees within an organization must adapt to. Today, many companies have implemented information technology in the form of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems and find themselves in th so-called Second Wave stage where an after work is ongoing with continual improvement that involves changes that employees need to understand and act upon. To learn how to work with these recurrent misadventures is of importance because it is seen as a critical factor in order to take advantage of the ERP system and its benefits. To study this a study was conducted through personal interviews at Apoteksgruppen AB which a few years ago introduced a new ERP system. There the authors saw that employees learned in different ways depending on the position, and that the more responsibility this person had the greater freedom this person had to resolve their problems and therefore learned more effectively.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how a local community, and those who dwell within its borders, are affected when a large scale windmill park is planned in its immediate vicinity. I have used a qualitative approach and conducted semi structured interviews to gather empirical data. The study took place in a small Swedish village named Svartnäs, situated in the region Dalarna.I have used the concept of community as a symbolic construction (Cohen 1984), that together with the theory of structuration (Giddens 1984) and the notion of expert system (Giddens 1996) served as my main theoretical perspectives.Even though the windmill park is not built yet, its impact on the people and the local community of Svartnäs has been considerable. In the traces of the new windmill park new options and constraints, that will play an important role in the lives of the people who dwell in Svartnäs, are arising. The windmill project is enlarging old conflicts and is creating a divided village.

The purpose of this paper is to examine different attitudes regarding freedom of information and how libraries should fulfil their information-task represented by four organisations. The organisations are important in shaping the Swedish public libraries in different ways. The purpose is to examine in what ways their definition of information freedom may differ from one another and what that means in defining the public library. For the survey the qualitative textual analysis has been used for examining the documents and websites that are part of the debate about the public library and information freedom. We chose to interview representatives of four organisations that in different ways influence the shaping of the public library.

During the last decade working with competence has emerged as a more strategically important area. Today the human resources in a company are considered a competitive advance and the HR-units play a significant role when it comes to HR-management. Different motives for investing in strategies that promote competence development and learning also exist. The purpose of this paper was to examine how the process of competence development was managed at a large global company. The empirical material consisted of four persons who were interviewed and the analysis of the material was inspired by grounded theory.From the analysis four major themes or core factors emerged as central to the interviewed persons' understanding of the competence development process; solid preparatory work in relation to competence development, communication, awareness of responsibilities and finally the taking action and evaluation of the action.
