My work has been to create a magazine for iPad to explore this Format, whichthere are mixed feelings about. Instead of seeing the digital Format as an enemy ofthe printed magazine, I have chosen to see it as an opportunity.I have given myself the task of designing a magazine that can justify the useof the digital magazine. I have looked at the identity of the magazine, but mainlyexplored the Format and its prerequisites.I was triggered to do the project when I saw people who are just making a pdfof the printed magazine and publish it digitally. I have during my work discoveredhow near or far away you can be from the printed magazine.The Format of the iPad has multiple aspects to look upon; one that turned outto be clear in my project was navigation. Working with a spread has its problemsand opportunities; the same applies to an article that is larger than a screen.

This report is about Adobe Acrobat 3D and their new PDF Format witch can contain 3 dimensional models that are interactive. The purpose is to find out if the program and the Format work in a level that is suitable for the market. To create this PDF you need Acrobat 3D installed on your computer but it only needs Acrobat Reader 7 or 8 to open it, and the Reader is free to download on the internet.The examination is focusing on four Formats: U3D, 3DS, DWG and DXF because they are the most common in the building industry seen from the architects? way. From a 3D model exported to these four Formats they where converted to PDF in different settings to be compared in different points as inFormation and size of the files.

This project is a redesign of the magazine Vår Kommun, which is a magazine published by the municipality of UpplandsVäsby, Sweden. The redesign included a change of Format from tabloid to a magazine Format and the creating of adesign with a more modern look and feel of a magazine..

The goal with this project was to develop a graphic template for a new magazine about running, STARK Löpning. Besides the looks of the graphic elements, sections in the magazine would be developed. Finally, a discussion is made about how the magazine can be remade into an electronic Format.Content analyses has been made regarding magazines with both a main and a specific orientation, to review the graphic relationship between them. A content  analysis regarding a competing magazine about running was also made.An unstructured interview was done with Art Director Petrus Iggström, to find out his way of working when he creates new graphic templates for magazines.The discussion concerning the electronic Format was done based on previous research in the subject.The graphic relationship between main and specific magazines turned out to not be significant, they had few similarities. It was often showed that elements regarding the magazine s?identity had been changed, for example text fonts.

This project has been about illustration, text and Format with illustration as the main communication path.A study has been made of how these three elements interact, particularly how text and Format affect the illustrations. The goal has been to create an illustrated story in a form of a book. The story is about the feeling of being alienated from other people and invites the reader to make their own interpretations. The main target audience has been the ones who is interested in illustration and storytelling, no matter of age.Colors has been inspired from animated movies and the natur. Various textures such as wood, fabric and metal for example has been scanned to create a rough feeling.

Since the release of Avatar in 2009, the 3D movie industry has experienced an apparent growth. Almost all blockbuster movies are being released in 3D at the cinema, but the 3D Format has been met with mixed opinions by the consumers. Some argue that 3D is the future, while others believe that the 2D Format is enough for an appreciated movie experience. Through a qualitative survey, twenty participants with 3DTV in their homes answered questions regarding their experience of 3D movies and what improvements they desire. We suggest that 3D film creates immersion, realism and effects that 2D films can´t handle.

På webben används generella komprimeringsalgoritmer för att minska storleken på data i självbeskrivande Format. The aim of this thesis is to investigate how students in higher education use talking books. This has been inves-tigated through qualitative interviews with nine students. The intention has been to find out how they use talk-ing books and why they have chosen to do it in the way they have, looking specifically on whether there are strategies shared by most of the interviewees.As a theoretical basis of the thesis I have chosen a study, described by Sigrid Hongset, where dyslectic pu-pils tried using printed text and text on tape, as well as both simultaneously. George Kingsley Zipfs ?Principle of least effort? will act as a supplemental theory.The interviews show that the students use talking books in different ways.

How do you reed a book? Do you start at the beginning,or do you begin with the end or maybe in the middle? Inmy exam project I elected to work with a photographicpublication about fragments of pictures combined in differentways, changing the context of the photographs andmaking the reader search for the whole picture, literary.During the project I tried to create a method for foldingwhich would make the pictures communicate differentlydepending on how they where stacked against each other.I wanted to explore new ways to read the photo book, andhow the Format could be transformed by folding, to beable to show the pictures in a larger scale. Working withthe material from an earlier project about defragmentation,I wanted to create a book that would correspond tothis and figure out how it would work..

This project details the process of converting and transferring a turn-based paper prototype to a digital real-time Format. The projects goals were to see how well the original feeling could be transferred to real-time and how the transition itself went. The project have been completed with the help of the programmer Mikael Gullberg. The practical part of the project was executed between the dates of 25/4 ? 2/5.
