Examensarbetet har utförts vid SCA Packaging Obbola AB. Företaget tillverkar oblekt liner vilket är ytskiktet till wellpapp. Under början av 2005 startade företaget implementering av Sex Sigma som systematiskt arbetssätt för kvalitetsförbättringar. Examensarbetet har bedrivits som ett Sex Sigma projekt vid företaget och de erfarenheter som erhållits under arbetets gång har legat till grund för utvärdering av implementeringsarbetet för Sex Sigma vid företaget. Sex Sigma projektet inriktades på att minska pappersförluster vid produktionsomställningar.

This report is a joint venture with SCA Forest, Ångermanlands forest man-agement area. The purpose of the study is that SCA Forest wants to know what the landowners in Ångermanlands forest management area think about SCA Forest and who they deliver their timber to. SCA Forest is the largest private landowner in Europe, with an area of about 2.6 million hectares. Today, SCA offers lumber, wood products, tis-sue and packaging and has factories all over the world. SCA Forest has five forest management areas in the north of Sweden, with the headquarters in Sundsvall. A questionnaire was sent to 265 landowners, where they had to answer 15 questions with possibilities to give comments. The survey was sent out on 21 of February with a response requested by 3 of March 125 landowners responded to the survey, giving a response rate of 47%.

In my project, Cups on the run, I have studied the relationship between ceramic utility objects and different environments, when moving them off the table. My background as a potter has been the starting point. From there, I wanted to see if I could expand my craft to the space beyond. With the cup, which for most people has a clear function and a relation to us human, in repetitive structure I explored the spatiality and architecture in various environments. This degree project was made in cooperation with AssiDomän Frövi and Charlotte Andersson and the main objectivehas been to create to ice cream pacbges from 250 gsm Frövi Light board. The paekages are intended to be easilyresealable while decreasing in size together with the ice cream. The project also describes the food packaging labelsand symbols currently present in the European common market.Both capsules utilize a separate lid for resealing. One of the paekages (Capsuie A) is indended to be cut along withthe ice cream and thereby decrease in size. The other one (Capsuie B) uses a series of flaps for contracting and expandingwhich enab1es adjusting of the size without cutting the package up.The design for Capsuie A is created both as a series of flavours with a super-hero theme intended for children andwith a colfee flavour for a maturer audience.

Mobile Arts have a technical platform for handling maps and community-featured Points of Interest in cellular phones, where the users themselves can share locations with other users either in groups or public. Development of the platform regarding network communication has been included in this paper. The work evaluates different feasible business models regarding packaging the platform as a commercial application and also faces issues users have when using the product. Even if users found maps and POI interesting and cool in cellulars, the technical difficulties and lack of product focus during beta testing, were present. Therefore, the writers recommendation is more development of the platform and using a business model where Mobile Arts deliver to existing communities.

The background to the work bases on the consumers view around Swedish and foreign meat products, and how the attitude around the meat products is pursued in the shops. The consumers request high meat quality and security . Many consumers value local produced and ecological meat products but the price is too high. We have done verbal interviews with consumers on three different shops, where we asked questions and had dialogues around Swedish meat products where the consumers have told us their arguments and opinions about Swedish and foreign meat. The result shows that the majority of consumers consider that it is important to know that meat is produce in Sweden.

Concrete floors have traditionally had no problems with annoying vibrations. However with the demand for larger spans the floors need to be made more slender with a higher degree of utilization and lower mass. Therefore new floors may have problems with vibration serviceability. This thesis studies the vibration characteristics of hollow core slabs. The analysis was made in the finite element program Ansys. The hollow core slab was subjected to a varying force simulating one person walking across the slab.

This is a thesis for a Bachelor Degree Project, performed in the subject MechanicalEngineering. The students Roger Malmberg and Simon Hagberg have carried out adesign project on behalf of the recently established company J&D Assisting systems,located in Halmstad.The project consisted in developing J&D's first prototype of a power assisting solutionfor wheelchairs. A power assisted wheelchair combines human power, which is deliveredby the arms through the pushrims, with electrical motors, which are powered by a battery.The power assisted wheelchair is aimed at customers, who have used a regularwheelchair for a long time, but who have become weaker or just need additional powerwhen driving uphill. This kind of wheelchair will provide additional power for users,which will spare their wrists, elbow and shoulders. The product is torque sensor free andinstead it relies on the velocity.

Hur organisationer inom branschen sedan anpassar sig till förpackningslogistik blir i sig fundamentalt för utfallet. Med grund till detta har tre välkända aktörer inom den svenska detaljhandeln djupgående studerats. Dels för att belysa de möjligheter och svårigheter ett förpackningslogistiskt styre medför, men också för att klargöra om hur ett företag bör förbereda sig organisatoriskt för att implementera ett förpackningslogistiskt förhållningssätt.Det teoretiska forskningsbidraget från studien inkluderar ett förpackningslogistiskt hjälpmedel/analysverktyg för företag att förhålla sig till inför en eventuell implementation av den. Utifrån analysverktyget exemplifierades fem fundamentala steg som ett företag inom detaljhandeln bör ta i hänsyn för en lyckad förpackningslogistisk implementering och fortsatt styrning av den..

Intermodulated force microscope (ImAFM) is a type of dynamic AFM. ImAFM opens up possibilities for mapping the topography and making quantitative determinations of material parameters at the same time. With increased information the need to generate more informative images of the sample emerges. In this Bachelor's degree project I have created tools for rendering images of a sample. The topography is plotted as the height and a material parameter is color coded on topography.

Have you encountered problems when you are unlocking a door? Perhaps you have had your hands full when you needed to unlock the door? Or, you might be suffering from a disease and have difficulties to put force on to small objects. To solve these problems there are different options. The most common alternative is a key button. With the key button, you do not need turn the pinion to unlock.

Export is a top priority for Sweden's economy but for Swedish companies it may involve uncomfortable risks of exporting without sincere consideration. When the United Nations Security Council puts an embargo against a country, this often mean an import and export restriction. The thought is to push undemocratic regimes into respecting human rights. When the embargo is in force, however, the parties are not able to fulfill their contractual obligations, which practically means that the agreement will be suspended. The problem is what happens when an embargo is in force for a longer period of time.

Examensarbetets mål var att ta fram relevanta åtgärder med tillhörande kostnader för att förbättra arbetsmiljön för operatörerna vid tryckpress 3616, som är den äldsta av tre tryckpressar på Tetra Pak Packaging Material i Lund. Arbetet initierades av att företaget noterat ett ökat antal sjukskrivningar för problem i rygg, axlar och nacke hos operatörerna på tryckpress 3616 jämfört med övriga tryckpressar. Arbetet resulterade i att totalt nitton lösningar togs fram för att förbättra den fysiska arbetsmiljön och några områden inom den psykiska arbetsmiljön kommenterades. I arbetet med lösningar var personer från flera delar inom företaget delaktiga och för inspiration gjordes benchmarking på tre tryckerier. Lösningarna som berör den fysiska arbetsmiljön delades in i tre investeringssteg, dessa steg samt nuläget värderades mot kravspecifikationen.
