The object of this bachelor thesis is to examine how publiclibraries are working to reach out to boys in their early teens,and from a relationship marketing perspective see howlibraries are using marketing as a tool in creating long-termrelationships with this user group. The following questionsare asked: How do public libraries market themselves toboys in their early teens? How are children?s and youthlibrarians working to create long-term relationships with thisuser group? How do children?s and youth librarians viewmarketing as a way to create long-term relationships with theuser group? The theoretical framework of the study is EvertGummesson?s model of relationship marketing. Interviewswith five children?s and youth librarians make up theempirical data.

The main purpose of this Bachelor´s thesis is to investigate the visions chief librarians have for their public libraries. The world around us and our way of living is changing as the society is changing ever more rapidly. This evolvement also influences the public library, its role for society and individuals, its activities and its design. The question is how the public library can face these changes and what function and role it can get and make for itself in the future. Through qualitative interviews with five chief librarians our aim is to answer the main question of this thesis: What are the visions that chief librarians on public libraries have for the public library´s future? Saftfabriken var i behov av en ny hemsida med nya funktioner och ny fräsch design. Beställaren ville ha en välkomstsida där grundläggande information kan hittas för kunden. Saftfabrikens kunder lämnar in äpplen som görs till must som de kan köpa. Företags och privata kunder kan även köpa ostlöpe, för denna tjänst ville beställaren ha formulär som skall skicka ett automatiskt mejl med uppgifter om mängd och kunduppgifter. Företagskunder skall kunna logga in och registrera sig som ny kund.Vår beställare önskade även en administratörspanel där han kan gå in och ändra texter på hemsidan.

Syftet med vårt examensarbete var att undersöka om flickors intresse för matematik kan öka genom variation av arbetssätt och arbetsformer. Undersökningen genomfördes under fyra veckor i en klass med 25 elever varav 14 elever var flickor. Eleverna fick under vissa lektioner arbeta diskussionsinriktat i grupp med uppgifter ur annan matematiklitteratur än den de vanligtvis arbetade med. Under de övriga lektionspassen arbetade eleverna enbart i matematikboken. Vi använde oss av enkät, dagboksskrivning och intervjuer för att få ett så brett resultatunderlag som möjligt.

Vi har utvecklat två fristående webbapplikationer till det webbaseradehälsovårdsstödsystemet Asynja. Den ena är en designapplikationför enkätundersökningar och den andra är en svarsapplikation där respondenternakan besvara enkäterna.Utvecklingsprocessen har bestått av planering, design, implementation,testning och dokumentation. Mycket av arbetet har skett parallelltvilket vi har sett som en framgångsfaktor i examensarbetet.Projektet har präglats av att applikationerna ska vara användarvänligaoch funktionella samtidigt som designen och koden ska göra attapplikationerna kan vidareutvecklas och underhållas effektivt.Arbetet med att utveckla J2EE-applikationer och använda sig av ramverketStruts har gett goda erfarenheter och det har även visat sig attdenna plattform är väl lämpad för denna typ av uppgifter..

Syftet med mitt examensarbete var att undersöka hur klassrumsorganisationen påverkar koncentrationssvaga elevers arbetsförmåga i matematik- och svenskundervisningen.  Frågeställningarna har behandlat skillnader i förekomsten av koncentrerat arbete mellan ämnenas olika moment, samt utifrån olika arbetsformer. Genom observationer och intervjuer har jag samlat in empirisk data som gett mig underlag för resultatet. Studiens resultat visar att koncentrationssvaga elevers arbetsförmåga påverkas negativt av undervisning som innefattar många rörliga inslag och där de lämnas åt sig själva att komma igång med sina uppgifter. Både observation och intervjuresultaten visar att undervisning i halvklass i jämförelse med i helklass, har en god inverkan på koncentrationssvaga elevers arbetsförmåga, särskilt i matematikundervisningen..

This Bachelor's thesis examines and describes the ideas and ideological traits surrounding the public library within the governmental cultural policy. The Bachelor's thesis demonstrates how the public library ? even though its relevance in the modern society has shifted over time ? has maintained a connection to the governmental cultural policy and has therefore been shaped by the ideological changes in the political sphere as a whole. The main issues are: Which ideas concerning the public library's functions are expressed in the governmental cultural policy? Which ideological tendencies can be identified in the national cultural policy? Which ideas concerning the public library can be extracted through the found ideological tendencies? The method used in order to study the governmental bill is an ideology analysis based on a framework created by Dorte Skot-Hansen.

The purpose of this thesis is to explore what possibilities Swedish public library has to work with and promote integration. The possibilities are examined on the basis of internal requirements of integration, the role of public library in the civil society and its policy documents. Further, the thesis examines what Swedish National library politics could contribute to this particular field. The experience of integration politics shows that a genuine commitment from all parts of the society is required in order to build an integrated society. The part of a society that public libraries are closest to and have the greatest impact on is undoubtedly the civil society.

Att använda datorer i matematikundervisningen kan huvudsakligen ha två olika syften. Antingen kan syftet vara att eleverna ska lära sig använda datorer och tekniska hjälpmedel (vilket ingår i flera av gymnasieskolans kursplaner) eller så används datorer och tekniska hjälpmedel som ett hjälpmedel i själva undervisningen så att eleverna kan lära sig matematiken på ett bättre sätt. Den senare aspekten har undersökts i detta arbete. Fem lärare har berättat hur de tar datorn till hjälp för att eleverna skall ta till sig matematiken på ett bättre och effektivare sätt och två olika användningssätt har här kunnat identifieras. Det första sättet är att läraren använder datorn som ett hjälpmedel vid genomgångar, då läraren använder datorn och eleverna tittar på en storbild och ser vad läraren gör, som en föredrags-hållare använder en overhead eller PowerPoint.

Purpose This thesis tries to create an understanding of how male homosexual entrepreneurs, both as persons and as a concept, relates to the fact that entrepreneurship, as well as the society as a whole, is heteronormative. Moreover, it examines by what methods the male homosexual entrepreneurs cope with the seemingly paradox of a homosexual man who also is an entrepreneur. Method The method has been qualitative from a social construction-point of view. We have made semi-structured interviews with nine male homosexual entrepreneurs and structured the findings from the interviews with a computer programme and mind mapping techniques. We have compared the structured findings with theories, in an abducting manner, to find out an answer to the purpose of this thesis.

Should libraries first and foremost be a source of free informationwhere the citizens can find whatever information they want, or dothe librarians have a responsibility for what kind of works theypresent to people on their shelves? A wild debate broke out inSwedish media in September 2012, after the artistic leader ofKulturhuset in Stockholm; Behrang Miri decided to weed out allthe Tintin albums from the children´s library Tiotretton. Hewanted to start a debate on stereotypes in children´s fiction, andwhat damage they do to children who face them. The purpose ofthe thesis is to carry out a discourse analysis of this media debate,and to identify the different views that are expressed on thedemocratic mission of the libraries, what media they shouldpresent. The method and theory is based on the discourse theory ofErnesto Laclau and Chantal Mouffe and their concepts are used toarrange the analysis around certain themes that build up twodifferent discourses; ?Freedom of information discourse? and the?Weeding out discourse?.The two main questions are: What views of the public librariesselection of works are expressed in the Tintin debate in Tiotretton,and how do the views relate to each other? What concepts arespecific for the debate, and what meanings do they get in thesedifferent views?In the concluding chapter I discuss which consequences theseopposing opinions can have for the future selection processes ofthe library..

The purpose of this study is to examine the phenomenon ?Living library?, where people are lent out instead of books. First it is looked into what the Living library means to the person who is borrowing a living book and what it means to the living book itself. Than the Living library is put in a public library context. This is done through a case study of the city library of Helsingborg and the city library of Malmö.

Abstract: The aim of this study is to investigate the attitudes towards the labour movement?s strategies, goals and organisational issues in Swedish Miners? Union?s (Gruvindustriarbetareförbundet, hereafter Gruv) paper, Gruvarbetaren 1917-1925.The theoretical starting point is Engels? view on the class state. This perspective turns the question of socialism and the way to get there into an issue of working class power over the state. Another theoretical perspective is the partition of the labour movement into a trade-unionistic branch, seeing unions as financial organisations of interest, and a pro-state one, considering unions as political organisations.During the period investigated Gruvarbetaren was quite radical and advocated a firm class struggle strategy towards employers. Since these were considered unreliable, class struggle was seen as the only way to better the conditions for the working class.
