Vilka motivationsfrÀmjande faktorer implementeras i undervisningen? Vilka strategier anvÀnder lÀrare för att hantera omotiverade elever och stimulera dem till lÀrande? Som metod för studien har kvalitativ intervju anvÀnts. Sex lÀrare har intervjuades och undervisade alla i Ärkurserna 1- 3.    Studiens resultat visar att lÀrarna utförligt arbetar med att frÀmja motivationen i klassrummet.

Public libraries have an important roll of making information accessible to all people. This democratic right supports the cultural development in our society. When public libraries build websites offering information and services it can sometimes cause obstacles for impaired users. It is therefore our purpose to evaluate a selection of websites and library plans to examine how the libraries work with accessibility for these users. This thesis is based on theories of cognitive and human computer interaction, and information architecture.

Vi har i examensarbete sammanstĂ€llt rapporter, information, material och erfarenhet som Trafikverket har samlat pĂ„ sig. Vi har i samband med nybyggnationen av trafikplats Rosersberg som mĂ„l att kartlĂ€gga hĂ€ndelseförloppet vid pĂ„trĂ€ffande av arsenik. Dessa uppgifter kommer frĂ„n alla de involverade parterna som konsulter, entreprenör, geologer, mm. Även Sigtuna kommuns beslut kring omhĂ€ndertagandet med avseendet pĂ„ ?Miljö och HĂ€lsa? kommer att studeras.

This essay was to investigate what self-image public libraries convey on Facebook and what image is received by the users, along with comparison of those. It was investigated if the received image corresponded with the users? previous image of public libraries. The method used was interviews with the Facebook administrators and surveys with the users. The theoretical framework was Kotler?s model for image creation.The research is mainly American and shows Facebook as an accepted marketing tool for libraries among students, but as not taken seriously by the library staff.

Cancersjukdomens inverkan pÄ de nÀrstÄendes liv Àr pÄtaglig. Förutom att bemöta och ta hand om patienten ska sjuksköterskan Àven uppmÀrksamma de nÀrstÄendes upplevelser och behov. Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva nÀrstÄendes upplevelser av att leva nÀra en anhörig som drabbats av cancer.

The purpose of this master thesis is to investigate and analyse how the concept of lifelong learning is expressed in political documents concerning public libraries and education and how it can be related to earlier concepts of education within the discourse of public libraries. Focus is the official approach to the concept of lifelong learning and public library. The documents examined contain the political aims for education and culture policy on a national and local level. The theories used in the study concern the background and meaning of the concept of lifelong learning, they describe public libraries and their earlier perspectives of education and they also give a picture of practices of governing within the framework of public libraries. The purpose is to see how the speech in the documents is reflected in discourses of society and public library.

The purpose of this thesis is to get knowledge about how it is to work as a librarian at Gothenburg city library during a rebuilding process and during the time when they have worked in a temporary library so called niche library. Which part did they have in the renovation project and in the niche library? The aim is also to find out how the librarians have experienced their time in the niche library and if it has affected their profession and identity.The method that is used to answer questions of the study is semi-structured interviews with four public librarians. Through comparing previous research in building and rebuilding process I have analyzed the four public librarian?s part in the renovating process and the temporary library.

Fr?gest?llningarna lyder: Vilka akt?rer har p?verkat regeringens f?rslag till nya skrivningar om den specialpedagogiska kompetensen i elevh?lsan? Vilka sk?l till och synpunkter p? de nya skrivningarna framf?rs i propositionen? Vilka konsekvenser kan de nya formuleringarna i skollagen inneb?ra f?r de specialpedagogiska yrkesrollerna? Tidigare forskning pekar p? att de specialpedagogiska yrkesrollerna fram till nu har haft legitimitetsproblematik och att en f?rst?rkning av yrkesrollerna l?nge har varit efterfr?gad (G?ransson m.fl., 2015; Malmqvist, 2015). Framtagandet av de nya skrivningarna och deras eventuella konsekvenser f?r de specialpedagogiska yrkesrollerna belyses med en kritisk realistisk ansats, analytisk dualism och ett teoretiskt ramverk f?r skolans styrning, professioner och specialpedagogiska perspektiv.

The purpose of this thesis is to study to what extent the methodological theories are being reflected in the construction of user surveys at public libraries in Sweden. The study has been conducted as a qualitative literature study in two parts. The first part is an examination of literature concerning survey methodology; the second part is a study of three user surveys conducted at Swedish public libraries after 1995. Our main results indicate that the theories about methodology are followed in part, though it cannot be determined whether this is due to any actual methodological studies, common sense, or just copying other surveys. In our study we have found some areas of user survey construction that need further attention and that would benefit from more extensive methodology studies on the part of survey designers.

The main purpose with this MA thesis is to examine how visually impaired, disabled and people with dyslexia define service quality at the public library of Linköping. The method that has been used is focus group interviews. A focus group consists of four to eight people who are joined together, without knowing each other before, to discuss a certain subject. The aim is to get a wide spread of answers. A secondary purpose is to examine how this method works.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to study how public librarians? view mediation of fiction: the knowledge needed, the thoughts expressed about their own and other adults reading of fiction and how the informants define their roles as mediators of fiction. The method used was qualitative interviews with six librarians at main libraries in Swedish cities of different sizes. The theoretical starting points are Louise M. Rosenblatt?s reader-response theory, Michail Bachtin?s theory of speech genres and Åse Tveit?s and Jofrid Karner Smidt?s theories about mediation of fiction.

This study deals with the Swedish public library in our changeable time. New technology, an altered media situation with a growing digitalization, globalization and a society focusing on the individual and the market have put the public library in a new, indistinct position. It is described as facing an identity crisis. The aim of this thesis is to, by interviewing a group of young people ages 15-16, find out what the public library is for this user group and what it ought to be according to them. How do they value the services provided by the public library? Are there services they miss? The thesis also aims at relating the opinions of the young people to earlier research.

Ten years ago the public computers with Internet access were introduced in the public libraries. The purpose of the public computers was to give the possibility of searching information. Along with the Internet came also communication media like chat and e-mail. This type of communication was a new function for the libraries and the reactions among the librarians were mixed. It has been a source of big frustration and attempts to block it has not succeeded.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine attitudes and standpoints amongst librarians at the Swedish public library towards literary awards and awarded literature. The questions posed in the study are: What attitudes are expressed amongst these librarians towards the Nobel Prize in literature, the August Prize and literary awards and awarded literature in general? What significance do the Nobel Prize in literature, the August Prize and other literary awards have concerning purchase and display at these public libraries? How is awarded literature perceived and how do they talk about it concerning quality and are questions of quality significant? Qualitative interviews with seven librarians at four different public libraries have been done. Theories regarding J?rgen Habermas the bourgeois public sphere and Pierre Bourdieu?s terms habitus, field and capital have been used as to explain the library as a public sphere.
