Med e-post Ă€r det möjligt att kontakta myndigheten vilken tid som helst pĂ„ dygnet, var man Ă€n befinner sig, vilket gör att mediet forcerar tid- och rumssbarriĂ€ren.FörsĂ€kringskassans telefonkundtjĂ€nst i Östergötland tar emot omkring 150 e-postmeddelanden varje dag och potentialen för att effektivisera e-posthanteringen torde vara stor. Till Landstingets i Östergötlands webbtjĂ€nst FrĂ„gelĂ„dan inkommer omkring 2 frĂ„gor per dag. Den genomförda studien syftar till att identifiera möjligheter att effektivisera uppgiften att förmedla efterfrĂ„gad information till medborgaren med hög kvalitet, exempelvis genom automatisering eller stöd för hantering av e-post. Inkomna e-postmeddelanden har kartlagts för att se vilka frĂ„gor det handlar om.

The purpose of this paper is to examine different attitudes regarding freedom of information and how libraries should fulfil their information-task represented by four organisations. The organisations are important in shaping the Swedish public libraries in different ways. The purpose is to examine in what ways their definition of information freedom may differ from one another and what that means in defining the public library. For the survey the qualitative textual analysis has been used for examining the documents and websites that are part of the debate about the public library and information freedom. We chose to interview representatives of four organisations that in different ways influence the shaping of the public library.

Att arbetsleda omvÄrdnaden Àr en av sjuksköterskans viktigaste uppgifter. Syftet med studien Àr att undersöka hur sjuksköterskan uppfattar sitt ledarskap i omvÄrdnaden. Metoden Àr en empirisk studie, dÀr en enkÀt lÀmnades ut till 89 sjuksköterskor pÄ en klinik vid UMAS. EnkÀten besvarades av 68 (76,4 %) sjuksköterskor, vilket betyder att bortfallet var litet och dÀrmed ökar studiens tyngd. I resultatet visade det sig att svaren följer Socialstyrelsens kompetensbeskrivning för sjuksköterskor, dock kan vissa andra tendenser skönjas i vissa variabler..

The aim of this master thesis is to study if the websites of the Swedish public libraries are accessible to all people. According to the library law all people must have access to the public libraries and their information services. Today, when the Internet is one of the largest sources of information, it is important that all people, including those with different kind of disabilities, children, elderly, immigrants and people with old technical equipment, have access to the public libraries websites.We have in this study considered the graphic user interface, the language, the structure and the navigation possibilities at ten public library websites. We have from a checklist of our own, based upon the opinion of different experts such as Jacob Nielsen and Tommy Sundström, investigated the websites.The main finding of our study is that the websites are generally accessible even thou we found a lack of accessible for immigrants. Most of the websites had some pages in English, but none hade all pages in this language.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the levels of social distance used by the librarians and users in the virtual reference interview. With a conversational analysis and applied politeness theory 49 chat transcripts where analysed in order to answer the question of how the interlocutors positioned themselves regarding the social distance between them. By identifying what communicative strategies where used the following results were found. Generally the social distance between librarians and users is low in the Swedish virtual reference interview. Even though both parties used informal and casual language the results indicate that the librarians face wants were valued slightly higher than the users which were illustrated by a some what higher social distance in the stages of the conversations when the librarians face was under most threat.

För att fÄ ytterligare ett djup och dimension i uppsatsen undersöksinverkan pÄ olika militÀra ledningsnivÄer, d.v.s. hur de medicinska underrÀttelserna inverkar pÄmilitÀrstrategisk, operativ respektive taktisk nivÄ.För uppsatsen har övergripande en kvalitativ deskriptiv arbetsmetod anvÀnts.

The purpose of this thesis was to explore how Swedish librarians working with educational matters In Swedish: studiebibliotekarier experience his/her pedagogic work in the context of a public library. My intention was thus to reach an understanding of how they experienced their educational work. The following questions were asked: 1 How do the librarians experience the physical environment created for their students? 2 How do the librarians experience the co-operation with others involved in their work? 3 How do the librarians experience the formal task that he/she now is given? 4 How do the librarians experience their own pedagogic qualifications regarding the demands that are made upon them by the students? I have interviewed six librarians and incorporated theories on pedagogic roles in an educational context. I reached the conclusion that these librarians believed the environment to be important for the outcome of the students success with their studies.

The aim of this Masters thesis is to examine the accessibility in public libraries for persons with dyslexia and visually impaired persons. In order to do this, library services, information and attitudes have been studied. Data have been collected through interviews and studies of documents, in particular guidelines for library service to disabled persons. The theoretical starting point of the analysis is Professor Michael Bucklands different aspects of access to information. He discusses six types of barriers that must be overcome if access is to be achieved.

Rapporten frÄn 1976 konstaterade att det i hög grad förekom sociala problem i de nya bostadsomrÄden som byggts enligt Miljonprogramsmodellen. I Halmstad byggdes bostadsomrÄdet Andersberg för att bota den bostadsbrist som under 1960-talet rÄdde i Halmstad. DÄ omrÄdet byggdes enligt normer frÄn just Miljonprogrammet, blev uppsatsens syfte att se hur vÀl detta bostadsomrÄde stÀmde överrens med de definitioner av sociala problem som preciserades i rapporten, samt att ge en lokal och levande bild av det tidiga Anderberg.

The purpose of this thesis is to construct a marketing model to be used both theoretically and practically when working with marketing in Swedish public libraries. This objective is achieved by first making a literature review of the written works on the marketing of libraries, and then studying the marketing activities at the public library in Bollebygd, Sweden. The theory is based on the marketing mix model the 7 ps, which serves as a framework for the presentation of the empirical result and the analysis. One of the questions posed in the beginning of the paper is how the library has worked with marketing over the past ten years. Through a combination of methods observation, textual studies and interviews the marketing activities employed at Bollebygds library are noted.

The purpose of this two years masterŽs thesis in Archive, Library and Information Museum science is to examine the ideas about children and childhood which have an influence on the storytime at public libraries. The material on which this thesis is based, is a methodbook which is aimed to develop the storytimes and those picture books that are recommend in the methodbook. The theoretical points of departure are discourse analysis and childhood sociology. The concepts of being and becoming are frequently used when analyzing the methodbook. Other theoretical points of departure are the combination of narratologi, semiotics and hermeneutics, which are also used when analyzing the picture books.The result indicates that the storytime, recommended in the methodbook, is based on the idea of a timeless culture of childhood - where the "modern child" including the media used today - is left out. Concepts as nostalgia and pedagogy are tightly connected.

The aim of this thesis is to study how public libraries in Sweden use alternative shelf arrangements that differ from the library?s original classification system, which in Swedish public libraries usually is the SAB-system. I sent out a survey to 169 public libraries, where I received 114 replies. 77 of these stated that they had some kind of alternative shelf arrangement, therefore these are the ones that are included in my study. I wanted to investigate in what way the libraries had changed their shelf arrangement and why this decision was made.
