Vid insatsen i Kongo 1961- 63 var en av uppgifterna för svenska flygvapnet direkt understödav FN:s markstyrkor. Hur löstes då denna uppgift? Var det ett väl inövat koncepteller tvingades flygförare och markstridskrafter att uppfinna en metodik på grundav rådande omständigheter? Det kan vara så att Sverige hade en väl utvecklad förmågavilken både hade stöd i doktrinära dokument och som övades. Det kan även förhålla sigså att de berörda piloterna fick improvisera och ta fram nya metoder på plats i Afrika.I uppsatsen analyseras källmaterial ur Krigsarkivets samlingar hämtade från Flygstabenoch Första flygeskadern mellan 1948 och 1961. Exempel på dessa källor är övningsbestämmelser,taktiska verk och reglementen.Svaret som uppsatsen ger är att Sverige övade Direkt flygunderstöd, DFU, under nästanhela 50- talet.

The purpose of this master's thesis is to examine how the public library communicates with young users through the library web sites. Four Swedish public library web pages for children are analysed. In the analysis the web pages are treated as a combination of semiotic resources that, communicating as a whole, hold a meaning potential. In order to identify the underlying meaning of the whole I have applied the tools of Kress' & van Leeuwen's visual social semiotics to the chosen web pages.The information value, the framing and the salience of each composition is examined and analysed, as is the size of frame, the perspective and the vertical angle of a selection of images from each web page. The results of the semiotic analysis are then discussed and related to Jochumsen et al:s four space-model and the notion of ?child perspective? and ?empowerment?.The results show that the child perspective is strongest on the web pages that represent the performative space as dominating and that empowerment is mainly represented as ?doing?, ?participating? and the ?free choice?.

Debatten går idag het i Sverige om att slopa revisionsplikten i små och medelstora företag.Anledning är att den svenska revisionen påverkas till allt större del av den internationellautvecklingen där det i dagsläget endast är Sverige och Malta som har kvar revisionsplikten försmå och medelstora företag. Vår uppsats hade därför som syfte att beskriva, särskilt utifrånrevisorns synvinkel, tänkbara effekter av en slopad revisionsplikt i små och medelstoraföretag i Sverige. Detta utmynnade i vår problemformulering som löd: Vad skulle en slopadrevisionsplikt för små och medelstora företag innebära i Sverige? Vårt arbete utgick från endeskriptiv ansats då vårt syfte var att beskriva och vi valde att använda en kvalitativ metod föratt besvara vår frågeställning. Genom att ta del av befintlig teori samt våra respondentersuttalande kom vi fram till att ett slopande av revisionsplikten för små och medelstora företag iSverige kommer att innebära övervägande positiva effekter.

Abstract: The aim of this study is to investigate the attitudes towards the labour movement?s strategies, goals and organisational issues in Swedish Miners? Union?s (Gruvindustriarbetareförbundet, hereafter Gruv) paper, Gruvarbetaren 1917-1925.The theoretical starting point is Engels? view on the class state. This perspective turns the question of socialism and the way to get there into an issue of working class power over the state. Another theoretical perspective is the partition of the labour movement into a trade-unionistic branch, seeing unions as financial organisations of interest, and a pro-state one, considering unions as political organisations.During the period investigated Gruvarbetaren was quite radical and advocated a firm class struggle strategy towards employers. Since these were considered unreliable, class struggle was seen as the only way to better the conditions for the working class.

This Master?s thesis is about the public library development in a rural district, in this case Bergunda, a large rural district in Kronoberg?s County in Småland in Sweden, existing 1952 ? 1970. The main question is; how the public library develops in Bergunda large rural district 1951-1970. The main question is divided up in sub-questions: the district uniting in 1952 and 1971; personnel; lending; library housing and the public library structure. In 1952, there is one public library, Bergunda public library, and four study circle libraries.

The purpose of this master?s thesis is to study resource allocation among district libraries within Stockholm?s City Library (SSB) on three different occasions ? 1996, 2001 and 2005 ? and to examine whether there exist any inconsistency between the state of the allocation of resources and what might be considered reasonable. During the course of the study, it became apparent that some measurements are more relevant than others when determining whether the allocation of resources is reasonably fair. The most relevant ratio is the share of net cost per capita in relation to population and the population?s composition of children, youngsters and persons with foreign background as a result of relevant political governing documents giving priority to these three groups.

På senare år har allt fler kineser kommit till Sverige för att arbeta eller studera samtidigt som allt fler svenskar sökt sig till Kina. I mötet mellan kineser och svenskar kan ibland kulturella skillnader göra det svårt för oss att förstå hur motparten menar. Syftet med den här examensuppsatsen är att ta reda på hur kineser tänker om att vara kineser, hur de tror att andra folk ser på Kina och hur vistelsen i Sverige har påverkat hur de betraktar sin kinesiska identitet. Studien bygger på en kvalitativ intervjuundersökning med tio kineser som i vuxen ålder utvandrat till Sverige från Kina. Av resultaten framkommer deltagarnas ofta motsägelsefulla syn på att vara kineser, hur de pendlar mellan nationell stolthet och jämförelser med omvärlden till det egna landets nackdel, alternativt tillskriver omvärlden en nedsättande syn på Kina.

The aim of this thesis is to explore how librarians approach to and knowledge of young people can be seen in their work methods and in activities arranged for young people. I also want to investigate other factors that librarians think can affect how they work. Five interviews were carried out with five librarians who worked with young people at public libraries. The literature review covers; young peoples needs and leisure activities, young peoples attitudes to libraries, activities arranged for them and towards departments for young people at public libraries. Literature dealing with librarians` attitudes and knowledge of young people was also included.

Little attention has been paid in the literature to libraryassistants in Swedish public libraries. In this bachelor thesis,the professional role, work duties, career prospects and statusof library assistants are examined at two public libraries.Because of a scarcity of published information on thedevelopment of this profession in Swedish public libraries,retired library assistants, as well as currently employedlibrary assistants, librarians and a library head wereinterviewed.Since the ?80s, work duties of library assistants havechanged, with a reduction in some of the more manualaspects of library work, the development of new duties and,overall, an increasing similarity in the duties performed bylibrary assistants and librarians.Additionally, the public perception of library assistants as acategory distinct from librarians was investigated bydistributing questionnaires to library patrons. Contrary toexpectations prompted by statements in the literature, asubstantial portion of visitors was found to be aware of thetwo separate categories.Library assistants at Swedish libraries have no careerprospects, unless they undertake studies in their own freetime and at their own cost, and obtain a librarian degree. Adifference between the situation of library assistants inSweden and corresponding professional categories in a fewother countries is that, at present and for several years, noformal education for library assistants has been available inSweden.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka Lufthansa Private Jets verksamhet och marknadsföringsstrategi i Sverige utifrån kundsegmentering. Vi avser att undersöka hur Lufthansa Private Jet utifrån kundsegmentering kan lokalisera och expandera sin målgrupp i Sverige. Vår studie har en kvalitativ ansats. Undersökningen är en fallstudie som genomförts med hjälp av intervjuer med personer med olika anknytning till Lufthansa Private Jets verksamhet. Uppsatsen bygger på teorier och metoder kring kundsegmentering som vi anser relevanta för syftet med uppsatsen.

The main purpose of this Masters thesis was to examine how the Internet and other electronic sources have affected public librarians use of printed reference sources. During the last couple of years the use of the electronic sources - in particular the Internet has become more established in the Swedish public libraries. Our aim was to examine if and how this has affected the use of the printed reference sources. This has been examined on the basis of the following factors: the gender and age of the librarians and how long they have served in the library. We also examined if the size of the library affects the use of the printed and the electronic reference sources and also which factors that are most important when librarians acquire reference sources.

Denna studie är en textanalys undersökning om hur olika böcker, statistiska undersökningar och rapporter framställer och beskriver befolkningstillväxten i Sverige ur ett historiskt perspektiv. Central för studien är att förstå vilka diskurser och teorier som ligger till grund för diskussionen om befolkningstillväxten.Det har framkommit olika uppfattningar om att ett ökat födelsetal tillsammans med en investering i våra barn är viktigt för framtida välfärd. Samtidigt framhålls att ökade födelsetal resulterar i ökade socioekonomiska kostnader både för hushållen och i from av offentliga utgifter samt att en stor befolkning kan orsaka fattigdom och elände. Sveriges befolkning blir allt äldre och lever längre vilket resulterar i att vårdbehovet ökar och de sociala kostnaderna ökar. Med ett sådant scenario menar man att den åldrande befolkningen kommer att bli ett problem när de skall försörjas av allt färre i arbetsför ålder.

The aim of this master?s thesis is to examine the discourses aboutthe future of Malmö City Library expressed by the chief librariansSven Nilsson and Elsebeth Tank. Furthermore, our intention is tostudy the relation between the two. The questions posed in thestudy are: how does chief librarian Sven Nilsson express the futureof Malmö public library between 1989-1997? How does chieflibrarian Elsebeth Tank express the future of Malmö City Librarybetween 2008-2010? How does Sven Nilsson?s and ElsebethTank?s thoughts and visions of the future correlate?Our theoretical and methodical building ground is in the discourseanalytical field, with Ernesto Laclau?s and Chantal Mouffe?stheories about discourse and society, as startingpoint.

The main purpose of this thesis is to investigate how the societysystem in Austria has influenced the library system. The aim is toanalyse in what way these influences have changed during thegrowth and development of the public library system and how it isdisplayed in each separate library branch. The focus of myinvestigation has been the municipality public libraries in Vienna,and mainly the three libraries in the third district of the city. Themethod I have used is literature studies, examining and analysingsource material from the internal archive of the public libraries inVienna. I have also used the qualitative interview method in orderto examine the situation in the selected libraries Rabengasse,Erdbergstraße and Fasangasse.As there is no common library law, there are significantdifferences in the library structure in different parts of Austria andeach municipality decides how they want to prioritize the libraries.Since the public libraries of Vienna are well organized together inBüchereien Wien, the library structure in the separate librarybranches is coordinated.

He claimed that Sweden had nothing to fear from a future war, we were safe. Today we know it was not so. Is this the situation for Swedish public library of today? Is the public library ready to face the future, or is it only fancy words?We have to form the future, not let the future form us.
