AssiDomän Frövi board mill has in cooperation with students from Graphic Technologyat the University of Dalarna a degree project that involves developing package solutionsin carton material from AssiDomän Frövi. This year the basic condition was to use theweights 270g/m2, 300g/m2 and 330g/m2 and choose between Frövi Bright, Frövi Lightand Frövi Carry.The packages were supposed to be in the segments industrial products,chocolate/sweets and beauty products/cosmetics. Two packages were produced in thesegments industrial products and beauty products/cosmetics.The first package, produced in the industrial segment, contains textile color and templatesand the second package is a gift package and contains nail polish.The investigation part of the project deals with how the packages today are fit forrheumatics in opening purpose..

Companys usually have intern communication platforms where employees can gather information and communicate with eachother. These networks are not public which leads to less resources spent on development. If this network is also used as a work tool may inadequate usability decrease work effeciency. Thats why we, by using known design principles, evaluated an already existing network of this kind along with interviews and think out loud tasks for users. Four users had to do some tasks while they explained how they went through step by step to solve those. This report culminates into a couple of guidelines which can be used to create a user friendly network. The problems that prevented users to feel in control when working resulted in the following guidelines: Create shortcuts of frequently used functions.

Badminton är en inomhussport som människor i alla åldrar och på alla nivåer kan utöva. Ju högre nivå sporten utövas på ju mer krav ställs på belysningen. I många badmintonhallar används idag armaturer som bidrar till bländning och som inte ger en god synkomfort. Badminton är världens snabbaste racketsport vilket gör att kraven på belysningen är hög. Utan tillräckliga riktlinjer gällande belysningsanläggningens utformning som ska säkerställa en god belysning för spelarna kan det bli svårt för dessa att hinna uppfatta fjäderbollen, då spelet går väldigt snabbt och mycket rörelser sker på badmintonplanen.Syftet är att öka förståelsen för vilka faktorer som är viktiga att ta hänsyn till vid planering av ny belysning i badmintonhallar.Metoderna som användes i studien var observationer, ljusmätningar, intervjuer och enkätundersökningar.

The purpose of this essay was to examine the packaging design´s communications related to the colloquially brand's symbolic capital and how they became meaningful through experience and perceptions that led to the identification processes in the consumer society. There were eight interviews of snuff users who became my main collections materials. My theoretical framework was discourse psychology´s emphasis on language and Bourdieu´s concept provided important tools in the analysis of the material.I could highlight that packaging design and the brand had influenced the informants and given them symbolic beliefs and what it meant to sniff a certain brand. Color, brand awareness and price were crucial in choosing where the informants attributed themselves the cans symbolic values to their identity. It could be inferred high and low status perceptions based on stereotypes in the design itself..

During my graduation project, I discovered a designopportunity to work with suspended ceiling systems inexamination rooms, as there is not much to look at whilebeing examined.The result, Twig Ceiling is an interactive nature-inspiredbacklit module with colored LEDs. Twig Ceiling has onelayer of pattern that is visible when the module is not litand the second layer of pattern appears when turning onthe light.

Most of the goats in the world exist in the developing countries where they are important in the meat industry. In Europe, goats are mostly kept for milk production although the interest for meat is growing. Goats have a thin carcass with only small amounts of intramuscular fat, which gives a lean meat. This thin subcutaneous fat cover can cause cold shortening when chilling the carcass. By using electrical stimulation cold shortening can be prevented.

At Volvo Construction Equipment outside Eskilstuna a wide range of heavy equipment machines are developed that are used by a variety of industries worldwide. For the handling and maintenance of these machines a deep knowledge is often required. Volvo CE and their dealer Swecon offer courses for both drivers and technicians that last for 1-2 weeks. Out on the workplaces however, the knowledge from these courses need to be supplemented with information from the machine?s operator and repair manuals.

Recently, researchers have begun to voice concerns about the potential risks if we do not address the inherent biases in these systems. After all, AI is merely code based on mathematics produced by humans. This essay focuses on Stable Diffusion and Midjourney to examine biases in fashion representation and how fashion is visualized and reproduced concerning race, social class, and culture. A series of prompts were intentionally written in simple terms such as ?rich,? ?poor,? and ?race.? The results revealed troubling biases, as these programs consistently depicted poor individuals as people of color and portrayed wealthy, elegantly dressed individuals as exclusively white..

The aim of this project was to create an interior design for a children?s hospital patient room with the concept to adapt the room for the wide target group from 0-18 years of age. The analysis in the project is based on the hospital ward 322 at Drottning Silvias Children?s and Youth Hospital in Gothenburg. It?s an oncology ward where the children are very sensitive for infections and therefore need to be isolated in their rooms for 3-4 weeks.The main goal for the project was to create a room that works as a template and gives the people who lives in it the opportunity to create thier own room based on the personal things they bring into it, and how they decide to furnish and use the room.The result of the project is a template room with fixed furniture that can be transformed due to screens in the room.

This report present a working model for simulation of what happens to colors displayed on screens when they are observed through optical filters. The results of the model can be used to visually, on one screen, simulate another screen with an applied optical filter. The model can also produce CIE color difference values for the simulated screen colors. The model is data driven and requires spectral measurements for at least the screen to be simulated and the physical filters that will be used. The model is divided into three separate modules or steps where each of the modules can be easily replaced by alternative implementations or solutions.

En produkt som trängs med flera andra på butikshyllan är tidskrifter, där antal titlar på den svenska marknaden har ökat med 40 procent de senaste tio åren. Det har tidigare forskats kring vilka färger som sägs påverka människor i köpsituationer, så som att rött är en bra färg för att intressera en konsument, men detta betyder inte nödvändigtvis att det leder till ett köp. Vad är det då som intresserar konsumenten när det gäller färg? Vilka färger på ett tidskriftsomslag är det som intresserar en målgrupp mest respektive minst och varför är det så? Finns det ett samband mellan vilka färger som intresserar målgruppen och de färger som faktiskt leder till köp? Den här studien undersöker hur färg på tidskriftsomslag påverkar en konsument, både gällande associationer, känslor och köpbehov. Den tidskrift som varit i fokus för studien är Cosmopolitan, som befinner sig inom genren Livsstil för kvinnor, med målgruppen kvinnor mellan 20-30 år.

This is mainlydue to the fact that reinforcement work is done in an exposed environment with many stressfactors and highly repetitive work. With repetitive work these injuries are not given time to healproperly and will gradually become worse.The body will not be able to handle the stress of working in a work environment such as thisand musculoskeletal disorders can be a result of this. The problem of finding targeted medicine is a central problem in chemotherapy. From this point of view the ubiquitin-proteasome system is a highly promising object in the pharmaceutical approach. Proteasome plays a critical role in cellular protein degradation, cell cycle and apoptosis regulation.Proteasome inhibitors are substances blocking the actions of proteasome. Cancer cells are more sensitive to inhibition of the ubiquitin-proteasome system than normal cells. Therefore proteasome inhibitors have the potential to be successfully used in the cancer treatment.The study aimed to test various substances to identify possible proteasome inhibitors with the IncuCyteTM FLR image system and fluorometric microculture cytotoxicity assay.

The purpose of this study was to develop a reliable molecular-genetic method to determine the different species of helicobacter in dogs. The study is part of a larger project to map the prevalence of Helicobacter spp in healthy and sick dogs in Sweden, and to determine the possible connection of Helicobacter spp infection with gastrointestinal diseases in dogs. Several published studies have reported on the prevalence of Helicobacter spp in dogs. The problem is that three of the most common species are so alike that a 16SrRNA-PCR with sequencing is not able to differentiate between them. In this study, DNA has been purified from samples and then a Multiplex PCR has been performed. Multiplex PCRs use multiple primers in one single PCR.

De neutrofila granulocyterna ingår i det icke specifika immunförsvaret och fagocyterarmikroorganismer och rester från kroppens egna celler. Neutrofilen innehåller fyra olika typerav granula, som vid aktivering av cellen kan uppregleras till plasmamembranet. Proteinetdysferlin har bevisats förekomma i membranet i en del av dessa granuler. Det tros ha en roll imembran fusion och underhåll av membranet.Dysferlin är ett transmembrant protein av typ II, och proteinet saknas i funktionellt tillståndvid sjukdomstillstånden Limb-Girdle muskeldystrofi 2B och Miyoshi myopati. I arbetetkommer en metod att utvecklas som skall användas till att studera proteinet dysferlin hos deneutrofila granulocyterna vid olika funktionella tillstånd.
