AbstractOur purpose for making this study is to study the implementation, the use of and the effects of Lean within our case objects.  We chose to make this thesis by case studies. The three themes mentioned above is also the main research questions that we aim to find an answer to by this study. We have chosen to do a cross section analysis where we conducted structured interviews to find answers to these questions. The theoretical reference frame consists partly of traditional theoreticians within Lean but also more recent research within the subject as well as theory specifically for Lean within the Health Care sector.The result of this study shows in all our case studies that the Management has been supporting the implementation, but that the implementation process proceeds faster if also the professionals are involved in the process.  To succeed with the implementation there is a great need for good reasons and strives that can benefit the professionals. By the use of Lean our case studies have evaluated its processes, with the main intentions being to reduce waste activities and to create flows with ?pull systems?.

Behovet av utbildning växer för det vi sammantaget kallar ?informationssamhället? och dess nya ekonomiska strukturer. För att klara av en väntad massutbildning, där allt fler skall utbildas inom oförändrade eller krympande ekonomiska ramar, har distansutbildningens olika former lyfts fram som en möjlighet. Genom en ökad satsning på distansutbildning så kommer också de problem som finns inom området att aktualiseras och ges ökade resurser för att hanteras på ett adekvat sätt. Avsikten med denna uppsats är att studera problemet som finns med genomströmningen vid distanskurser och att hitta faktorer som kan motverka detta problem.

Kostnaderna att bygga blir allt högre, man tror att byggkostnaderna väntas öka med 25 procent inom de närmaste tre åren. Mest stiger byggherrekostnaden och kostnaderna för byggmaterial och inget tyder på att detta kommer mattas av. Därför ligger det på byggföretagen att effektivisera och optimera projekteringen för att sänka kostnaderna. För att sänka produktions- och projekteringskostnaderna vill byggbranschen gå från hanteringen av traditionella 2D-ritningar till intelligenta 3D-modeller, BIM ? Byggnads Informations Modell.BIM är en metod för att lagra komplett information om en byggnad i en datormodell.

Examensarbetets uppdrag är att skapa en bild av dagens situation gällande duglighet vid de två bearbetande verkstäderna TMA och TMG. Vidare ska en analys av duglighetsarbete i dagsläget utföras och en modell för hur arbetet kan ske i framtiden tas fram.Syftet med examensarbetet är att erbjuda berörd personal vid Volvo Construction Equipment AB Component Division i Eskilstuna en modell för arbete med duglighetsstudier och uppföljning så att dugligare processer kan uppnås. Det primära syftet är att skapa rutiner så att man fortsätter arbetet efter ett duglighetsindex beräknats och inte endast konstaterar att resultatet är bra eller dåligt. I efterarbetet ska man försöka koppla bidragande faktorer från ett otillfredsställande utfall till de 4M:en (Maskin, Människa, Metod och Material).På CMP sker självklart ett kontinuerligt kvalitetsarbete då ett av Volvos starka kärnvärden är kvalitet, men trots det ständiga arbetet når man inte alltid de uppsatta kvalitetsmålen. Ett steg i att förändra situationen är införandet av ?The CMP Zero Tolerance Program? som är ett led till att förbättra kvaliteten och sänka antalet defekter till 600 PPM.

Background: The prevalence of dementia increases both in Sweden and in the rest of the world. People with dementia often display some types of behavioral and psychological symptoms. These symptoms include, among other things, aggressiveness, inactivity, activity disturbance, anxiety, hallucinations and depression. The symptoms can create a negative impact of those with dementia, their caregivers and their next of kin. Aim: To describe the effect of non-pharmacological treatments have on the behavioral and psychological symptoms of people with dementia.

In this report a study is carried out with the aim to identify added values of EPC projects implemented in schools in order to increase the interest of EPC projects on the market. The report examines how the planned maintenance, supervision, maintenance and corrective maintenance is affected, how insurance premiums and terms are affected, the indoor environment and how the tasks of the operating staff is changing. A literature study of energy savings, energy use in schools, maintenance and insurance as well as how energy efficiency improvements are related to the Swedish environmental objectives has been made. Visits were carried out in Ludvika, interviews were also carried out with operation technicians and local strategists in Ludvika as well as employees of insurance companies.Schools often have neglected maintenance and problems with ventilation and indoor environment. Schools also have a large energy saving potential due to their low utilization, mainly because they are empty parts of the year.

Vid utveckling av nya system finns det flera olika modeller/metoder att använda sig av, till exempel prototyping eller vattenfallsmodellen. Denna uppsats beskriver hur utvecklingen avett webbaserat system för registrering av datorer kan ske med hjälp av vattenfallsmetoden. Fokus på detta arbete ligger förutom själva utvecklandet av registret också på dokumenteringen av de olika stegen som följts enligt vattenfallsmodellen. Detta arbeteförsöker också svara på om denna modell är lämplig att använda vid utvecklingen av liknande system. Uppsatsen tar också upp fördelar och nackdelar om kan uppkomma vid användandet av denna modell..

The high and seemingly increasing degree of consumer avoidance and disliking of television advertising breaks should raise many questions for commercially financed television networks as it can be argued that benefits sought by both viewers [seeking a fulfilling viewing experience] and advertisers [seeking advertising effectiveness] are eroded by this effect. This thesis studies effects on advertising effectiveness [RecallBRAND; AttitudeBRAND; AttitudeAD] as well as on the viewing experience [SatisfactionPROGRAM/CHANNEL; Attitude PROGRAM/CHANNEL; IntentionPROGRAM/CHANNEL] given a reduced degree of advertising clutter. By conducting an experiment two breaks are compared, one having the standard primetime nonprogram time units (5 min and 30 sec *3?16minutes/hour) and the other the standard nonprogram content cut in half (2.45 min *3 ?8min /hour).Results show that the reduced breaks award advertisers with higher commercial effectiveness. Measures of RecallBRAND demonstrates no differences between the standard and the reduced break, implying a significantly increased likelihood to be recalled and an equivalently lowered risk to be forgotten in the reduced break.

Outsourcing är ett väletablerat begrepp som det har skrivits mycket om. När ett företag lägger ut delar av sin verksamhet till ett annat företag, så är det inte helt ovanligt att man utnyttjar en konsult för att hantera den praktiska processen. Den så kallade outsourcingprocessen. Konsulten (mellanhanden) marknadsför sig mot kunden (den outsourcande parten) som en motpol till de leverantörer (den part som verksamheten outsourcas till) som har stor erfarenhet av outsourcingprocessen och därmed ett övertag vid förhandlingar. Författarna vill i sin undersökning nå fram till en mer nyanserad bild av vilka fördelar respektive nackdelar det finns med att anlita en konsult av motsvarande slag.

The purpose was to examine relations between motivation and goal orientation, perceived ability and perceived motivational climate among persons working out in gym. Another purpose was to study differences in motivation, perceived ability and motivational climate among men and women. The final purpose was to study interactional effects on the dependent variable motivation. The participants were 59 men and 69 women. The instruments used were Task and Ego Goal Orientation in Sport Questionnaire (TEOSQ), Harter´s Competence scale and part of Mahoneys R-5 test.

Pheromones are chemical substances representing very specific signal messages within a species. Although a lot remains unknown about their precise effects, it is known that pheromones influence the behaviour of the receiver. Since the mid 1990s, when it was first possible to synthesise analogues of two fractions of feline facial pheromone, F3 (Feliway®) and F4 (Felifriend®), these have been used in so called pheromonotherapy to treat behavioural problems in cats. The initial use of pheromones for specific behavioural problems has been extended to cover the wide field of stress related issues. This studycontains a questionnaire where veterinary nurses and surgeons at 50 Swedish veterinary hospitals and clinics were asked about their use of synthetic analogues to feline facial pheromones in the care and treatment of cats.

Bakgrund: Övervikt under uppväxtåren har ökat markant de senaste åren, 20-25% av Sveriges tioåringar är idag överviktiga. För att häva denna utveckling krävs att bland annat sjuksköterskor utövar förebyggande arbete. Syfte: Syftet med litteraturstudien var att belysa hur sjuksköterskor kan förebygga övervikt/fetma hos barn och ungdomar. Metod: Studien är en systematisk literaturstudie och bygger på tio vetenskapliga artiklar samt en avhandling. Dessa har granskats och analyserats.

The term ?health maintenance? was introduced in the 1960?s. A common conception nowadays is that health maintenance is always beneficial. Gestaldo (1997) meant that health education on one hand could give the individual a feeling of autonomy, but on the other hand also put the individual in an inferior position where the teacher represented ?the truth?.
