The aim of this paper has been to investigate how accounting firms govern their organizations with regards to the complexity in the service that they offer. The service includes the general accounting tasks which through standardization can be cost efficient, the advisory services that entail flexibility, and the relationship with the customer which needs to be taken into consideration when delivering the financial reports. These three components are important but require different approaches when it comes to governing the organization. The conducted case study has shown that the accounting firms govern their organizations bureaucratically and mainly through behaviour and accounting controls. The advisory services demanded by customers are standardized, not analytical, and therefore do not require the firms to take flexibility into consideration.

Fysisk aktivitet hos äldre är viktig för att förebygga sjukdom samt för att upprätthålla självständighet och en bra livskvalitet. Fysisk aktivitet går att mäta med instrument, såsom accelerometer eller att skatta med skattningsskalor. Syftet med detta arbete var att undersöka om den fysiska aktiviteten är korrelerad med den fysiska funktionsförmågan och om fysisk aktivitet bestämd med accelerometri går att prediktera med skattningsskalor. I studien inkluderades totalt 27 patienter som opererats för höftfraktur. 14 av dessa var kvinnor med medelåldern 80 år (62-94) och 13 var män med medelåldern 82 år (73-94).

LUS är en förkortning för läsutvecklingsschema, vilket är ett koncept som skolor i hela eller delar av kommuner använder sig av, för att få en överblick på elevernas läsförmåga.Syftet med denna C-uppsats är att analysera huruvida LUS är ett relevant och användbart instrument i dagens högstadieskola, vad gäller arbetet med elevers läsutveckling.Min undersökning innehåller dels en teoretisk del som bygger på LUS egen forskning, dels en praktisk del som grundar sig på tre kvalitativa lärarintervjuer. Resultatet av min undersökning visar att LUS bygger på sociokulturella tankegångar, där ? trots en kompetensteoretisk uppbyggnad ? den individuella läsupplevelsen står i fokus och den optimala läsningen anses vara den som ligger inom läsarens närmaste utvecklingszon. LUS relevans på högstadiet är dock mest befogat som en tydliggörande mall av läskompetenser, för uppsättande av delmål i åtgärdsprogram för de elever som inte når upp till kursplanens mål. För de elever som åldersmässigt följer den utveckling läsutvecklingsschemat målar upp, känns LUS överflödigt på högstadiet..

Purpose: The purpose with our study is to accomplish a quantitative research of all municipalities in Sweden and see why they apply Balanced Scorecard. The study will also investigate the spread of Balanced Scorecard, even the benefits and how they use it. Method: In our study we have chosen a quantitative research. The study has been accomplished with a questionnaire survey which we sent to all of the Swedish municipalities. We have also done a literature study to get more knowledge about relevant theories. Finally we have compiled the questionnaire in Netigate and Excel, and analysed the result from the questionnaire. Results: Balanced Scorecard is well-known in the Swedish municipalities and 36 percent of the municipalities use this scorecard in whole or in parts of the organisation.

Previous research has shown that the market reacts on stock recommendations. As the Internet has made financial information more available and cheaper to assess one could believe that the market reflects more available information today. If this is true the market will react less on recommendation made by journalists, which generally consists of processed public information. The stock market should thus be more efficient according to the efficient market hypothesis. This study examines initially if we can conclude that stock recommendations made by journalists generate returns above the expected returns, hence abnormal returns.

This masters thesis concerns the Public Library Service in Eastern Africa, Tanzania. Our subject was developed through a feasibility study that gave us comprehension that developing countries have individual problems concerning books and libraries. We understood that the main problems were the libraries financial situation and their dependence on aid. We also understood that the libraries do not have the resources to satisfy the society as a whole. The major questions raised in this study are: - How do the regional librarians describe their work situation? -Which role do the Regional Librarians have in society? Data was collected through interviews and observation, and the study is a qualitative case study.

The Stradella system on an accordeon is a complicated construction. It has readymade con-nected chords, these are major, minor, seventh and diminished seventh. To reach other vari-ants of chords you have to combine chord/bass buttons. Which advantages and disadvantages do the use of combined chords/bass buttons mean? How is the pedagogic work affected by using the combined chords/bass buttons? I have interviewed four musicians/teachers to learn about this technique.

Syftet med studien var att beskriva hur arbetsterapeuter bedömer förmåga att köra bil hos personer efter stroke samt arbetsterapeuternas erfarenheter av detta arbete. Studien designades som en deskriptiv studie där verbal data samlades in med halvstrukturerad intervju. Data strukturerades som kvalitativ hårddata och analyserades med innehållsanalys och det resulterade i sju kategorier: Teamets arbete med körförmågebedömningen, Aktivitetsintervju ger grunden för bedömningen, Standardiserade instrument ger viktig information om kognition, Observationer tydliggör körförmågan, Anhörigas deltagande vid bedömning av körförmågan, Arbetsterapeuternas förhållningssätt och Vision om kompetensutveckling och utveckling av arbetsrutiner. Resultatet beskriver rutinerna vid en körförmågebedömning, vilka bedömningsmetoder arbetsterapeuterna använder, samt deras erfarenheter av arbetet med detta. Arbetsterapeuternas erfarenheter påvisade behovet av vidareutveckling inom området, även nödvändigheten av fler Trafikmedicinska center belyses då antalet förare med olika sjukdomar ute på vägarna ökar..

Hedge funds? importance within the financial system has during the most recent years increased dramatically. These special funds are unique instruments that differ from traditional mutual funds in a variety of ways, however especially in how they expect returns. Due to the fact that hedge funds are able to hold short positions they possess the possibility to become market neutral investment vehicles.Because of this possibility to sustain positions neutral to market fluctuations, the concept of absolute returns became a unique selling point for hedge fund managers and promises of stable returns unchallenged by market conditions was assured. This research paper aims to examine the theory of absolute returns in hedge funds by examining hedge funds from the Nordic region during the last years of economic turmoil that has occurred by  analyzing the results from their strategies, partially by quantitative measurements as well as qualitative.  The results show that none of hedge fund strategies managed to deliver absolute returns over the chosen period..

MPOC-20 är ett instrument som mäter den familjecentrerade behandlingsprocessen och används i många länder, däribland Sverige. Our thesis focus on how retirees perceive Tv4s news casts of economy news where we focused on five different aspects: What is the relationship between the news cast and the viewer and how does the viewer express their understanding of the news cast and the way it is constructed? What are the viewers attitude towards the news content and how do they find the news cast useful for them personally?We choosed retirees as our target group due to their vulnerable economic position in today?s society and TV as an important medium for them due to the digital divide. The study was performed with twelve qualitative interviews and one group interview where six retirees took part.We discovered a big interest for economic news in the target group. The majority had a sympathetic view of the news cast they saw but they also expressed skepticism toward the economy segment and/or news castings. The majority expressed a lack of trust for the journalists and the experts brought in to share observations and make announcements, and the financial business overall.

Demag Delaval Industrial Turbomachinery (DDIT AB) i Finspång tillverkar gasturbiner.I dessa finns det ledskenor/skovlar som arbetar i så varma områden att de måste kylas för att få rätt livslängd. Vid nytillverkning och reparation mäts kylflödet genom respektive skovel/ledskena för att säkerställa att flödet och därmed kylningen ligger inom tillåtna gränser. Mätningen görs med hjälp av en flödesrigg.Denna rigg består av en ventil för inställning av luftflöde, utrustning för mätning och reglering av flödet och anslutning för den aktuella komponenten.Vid DDIT har en datorreglerad flödesrigg tagits fram för att användas vid kontroll av ledskenor/skovlar. Riggen fungerar, men tryckregleringen behövde förbättras.I detta arbete har reglerventilen och flödesriggen studerats för att kunna automatisera mätningarna. Olika reglermetoder har utvärderats.För regleringen används PID Control Tools från National Instrument?s LabVIEW®.

Denna studie inriktar sig på bevarande av åkermarksareal utifrån ett hållbart resurshanteringsperspektiv. Syftet är att analysera förutsättningarna för åkermarkens bevarande genom en kartläggning av faktiskt och önskvärt handlingsutrymme på regional nivå i Sverige. Studien utgår ifrån ett induktivt förhållningssätt men har fäste i vetenskaplig litteratur om lagar/reglers efterlevnad och implementeringsbarriärer. Det empiriska materialet bygger på en metodikkombination. Intervjuer har utförts vid Östergötlands länsstyrelse för att kartlägga det praktiska, upplevda samt önskvärda handlingsutrymme för åkermarkens bevarande.  En textanalys av lagar, mål -och policydokument har kompletterat intervjuanalysen genom att synliggöra den regionala nivåns formella handlingsutrymme i frågan.
