This study is made in cooperation with the insurance company, Skandia. Skandia is a part of Old Mutual group?s Nordic division and is one of Swedens largest insurance companies with a total of 1.9 million customers. The company offers traditional life assurance, unit-linked insurance, private healthcare insurance and banking services. Insurance companies such as Skandia operate in a highly competitive environment.

Eutrophication of lakes and streams are nowadays a well known environmental problem and implies an enrichment of the nutrients phosphorus (P) and nitrogen (N). Phosphorus is considered to be the most important component for the growth of aquatic plants and leads in too large quantities to an intensification of growth. Phosphate (PO4) is the fraction of phosphorus that can easiest be taken up by plants and thus have the greatest impact on eutrophication. Increased plant growth in lakes and unfavorable conditions for aquatic animals are two examples of negative consequences. A significant portion of the increased nutrient supply to nearby water can be derived to phosphate leaching from agricultural areas, where private sewers and agriculture is two main sources.

This thesis work has been performed on request by SWT (Scandinavia WeldTech AB). SWT manufactures, develop and sell ready to assemble building systems for concrete rafter beam applications. The beams in this system consist of a u-beam that is welded to a flange. To be able to fill the beams with concrete there is holes in the beams top end. The holes are made in a ?punching machine?.  These holes are cut out and the remaining steel piece is bent down in the u-beam.

A large part of the interactions between horse and rider during horseback riding takes place through the reins and the bit and devices for measuring the tension on the reins, rein tension meters, has fairly recently been developed. To safeguard the welfare of the ridden horse riders need to be aware of the rein tension they apply and actively work to decrease it. Furthermore, there is a need to develop the study of rein tension through new techniques and refined analysis procedures. A good-quality rein tension meter should be small in size, sensitive, durable and as accurate for light rein tension as for strong forces. Rein tension meters used in research on horse and rider interaction commonly depend on strain gauge technique for generating rein tension data.

During thousands of years, reindeer have adapted to living under harsh conditions with large seasonal variations in climate and forage availability. This adaptation implies that body functions and nourishment needs are strongly bound to the season. In the summer the reindeer has to maximize food intake to build up fat and protein reserves for the winter. More than 200 different plant species are included in the reindeer diet, but since reindeer have an unique ability to use the nourishment in lichen, different lichen species make up a large portion of their winter diet in many areas. Fundamental for reindeer husbandry is access to natural grazing during most of the year.

På ett vis är grupper för organisationen vad elden var för våra förfäder, om de förstås och används rätt, utgör de anmärkningsvärt kraftfulla och flexibla verktyg: om de missförstås eller används felaktigt blir de destruktiva krafter. Likt elden kan grupper skapas eller uppstå spontant, och i likhet med elden är de farligast när de ignoreras. Syftet med uppsatsen är att identifiera förbättringsområden inom en organisations verksamhet som ska prioriteras, där ett förbättringsområde ska vidarutvecklas inom ett projekt. Det förbättringsområde som valts är att analysera hur den administrativa enheten kan bli en dynamiskt fungerande arbetsgrupp samt att ta fram verktyg och strategier för hur det ska gå till utifrån målen:1)      Vad medarbetarna upplever är bra2)      Vad medarbetarna kan utveckla3)      Hur gruppen kan arbeta vidare som gruppsamt för att få svar på mina inledningsfrågor: vilka faktorer påverkar att jag som människa/medarbetare känner att jag tillhör en arbetsgrupp som når resultat och är en del av min helhet? Vad är det gruppen behöver för att kunna uppnå effekten av att vara en väl fungerande och dynamisk arbetsgrupp. För att uppnå syftet och målet har en fallstudie genomförts där samtliga medarbetare i den administrativa enheten har fått besvara en enkät/frågeformulär vid ett gemensamt tillfälle. Enkäten har bestått av både öppna och fasta frågor och utgör kvalitativ forskning.

This work has been made in cooperation with the municipality of Eslöv and the inventory area is a part of the deepening of the municipality plan of east Eslöv. The aim of the work is to test the principle of balance in the overall planning. Later in the detailed planning process a more detailed calculation is made and a suggestion of suitable measures for compensation is made. Then the method with green area factors can be used. The goal is to balance the negative influence on the environment from the planned impacts to gain a sustainable development of the city. The principle of balance means that the one responsible for the development also has to compensate for the negative impacts on nature and landscape that comes with the development.

In the year 1800, about 5 % of the world population lived in cities (World Wide Fund for Nature, 2012, 3). Today that number is about 70 % in Europe and North America, and in 2050 it is expected to be 86 % in the developed world and 67 % in the developing world (www, UN, 2009). In addition, the global population is expected to increase with 2.2 billion people until 2050. As a result of the population increase more food has to be produced which requires more transport from the countryside to the cities. However, this flow of resources faces some difficulties.

Den 1 januari 2005 kommer den nya redovisningsrekommendationen, IAS, att träda i kraft. För att hjälpa företag att förstå och anpassa till nya regeln, från och med räkenskapsåret 2004 ska Redovisningsrådets Rekommendationen RR 29 ? ?Ersättningar till anställda? tillämpas. Rekommendationen riktar sig främst till koncerner, börsnoterade företag och företag som är av allmänt intresse. Rekommendationen innebär att nya och enhetliga regler för pensionsredovisning införs.

On today?s competitive market, it is difficult to achieve profitability trough high prices on manufactured products. Profitability must be obtained through low manufacturing costs, high quality and short lead times. One of the companies on the market is Sandvik Coromant, manufacturer of tools and chips for metal cutting. This master thesis investigates the methods of manufacturing for boring bars at the manufacturing unit GVH4 at Sandvik Coromant in Gimo, Sweden.

There have been significant changes in the agricultural sector during the past 20 years (Jordbruksverket, 2008). The development of today is towards deregulation and adaption to global market conditions. As farmers try to adapt to the changed and more competitive market conditions investments are often necessary (LRF Konsult et al, 2012). Loans to agriculture and forestry businesses have increased to record levels and debt has doubled over the past years. The financial turbulence of the past years has contributed to an increase of the meaningfulness and willingness of the banks to be able to understand and handle risks associated with agriculture and forestry (Breiding, 2010).

According to the Swedish strategy for forest protection, additionally 40 000 ha productive forestland will be protected in the county of Västerbotten, between 1999 and 2010. A national project was carried out to distinguish the proportion of forest with a high biological value, in all counties. The project resulted in demarcation of small landscape areas or small ?biological value regions? (bvr), with higher concentrations of forests with conservation values and red listed species than the surroundings. In Västerbotten, 26 such bvr?s were identified and the Counties Agency and Forest Agency in Västerbotten developed a regional strategy for forest conservation to standardize the forest protection process.

Göteborgs Hamn (GHAB) står i ett stort tillväxtskede. Med en årlig tillväxttakt om 3 % i containerhantering de senaste 13 åren gör att GHAB idag hanterar 900 000 containrar TEU (Twenty-foot Equivalent Unit), vilket gör det till Sveriges överlägset största hamn. GHAB:s företagsledning har satt ett ambitiöst mål att om tolv år, år 2025, ska hamnen ha en årlig hantering om 1,8 miljoner containrar TEU. I och med ett ökat intresse för hamnen och dess verksamhet ställer det större krav på GHAB, vad tittar aktörer på vid en etablering vid Göteborgs hamn?Syftet var att undersökta vilka parametrar potentiella kunder ansåg som viktiga vid en eventuell lageretablering vid Göteborgs hamn och om tillgången på långa fordon, det vill säga lastbilar på 48 meter och kan väga uppemot 100-200 ton, hade någon inverkan på detta.

Higher demands of competitiveness and efficiency have led to increasing sizes of farms, with more land, more capital and more comprehensive logistics. The aim is to gain benefits of scale economies that reduce the production cost per unit. However, a greater extent of the business exposes the farm of increased risk where small deviations rapidly can erase the benefits. A modern dairy farm thus put high demands on the farmer?s ability to coordinate, plan and manage the forage production through the whole process until storage to obtain silage of the desired quality and quantity at the right price. The objective of this study was to design a simple model, i.e.

Stor förvirring råder kring hur lufttätheten ska mätas i flerbostadshus. De metoder som finns och de resultat som erhålls vid täthetsprovning av småhus är inte alltid applicerbara på flerbostadshus även om mätenheterna är de samma. Detta föranleder problemställningen för detta examensarbete:Varför och hur kontrolleras lufttätheten i ett flerbostadshus på ett praktiskt tillämpbart sätt, som också gör det möjligt att jämföra resultat från olika objekt?Metoderna som används för att undersöka detta är litteraturstudier och samtal med erfarna personer, samt demonstration av en mätmetod i fullskala. En diskussion med initiativtagarna till detta examensarbete leder fram till en rekommenderad metod och en mall för hur detta ska utföras.Byggnadsskalets luft-, diffusions- och vindtätning har stor betydelse för en byggnads energianvändning, fuktsäkerhet, termiska komfort och hygien, luftkvalitet, ljudmiljö, spridning av brand samt spridning av luftföroreningar utifrån och in.
