Sports associations play a very important role in the Swedish civil society, and since the 1st of July 1987 they have been exempted from the duty to pay VAT. By introducing an sufficiently closely related. Due to an increased population in cities the need of densification of cities increases. This means that the amount of ecological elements in the city is at risk of decreasing. Ecological services contribute to the city?s climate by softening the negative impacts that densification of cities means. Thus increases the will and ambition in city planning in to preserve greenery.This is an interdisciplinary thesis within the subject of geography that studies Biotope Area Factor (BAF), a planning tool that is used in city planning with the purpose of compensating for lost ecological services associated with new housing estate.

The development of productivity in the construction industry has long been at a steady state compared to the manufacturing industry. Studies have shown that, amongst other things, waste on construction sites can reach up to one third of the total production cost. This has been observed from different aspects, and change is forthcoming.This thesis aims to provide a foundation for an increased productivity at production sites of building bridges. It is primarily based on a field study at Skanska, at a bridge construction site near Grängesberg. Via continuous interviews with the whole production crew, construction workers and management, information on interference and possibilities of improvement at the work site has been documented.

Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva sjuksköterskans arbete med patienter med TBC (tuberkulos) och sjuksköterskors uppfattningar av risker som de utsätts för i vårdarbetet i kontakten med patienter med TBC. Sökning av vetenskapliga artiklar gjordes i databaserna Medline via Pubmed, Science Direct, Swedmed + samt Cinahl. Studiens huvudresultat utgjordes av tre huvudkategorier; Ssk bidrag till minskad smittspridning, omvårdnad vid TBC och Sjuksköterskans risker i arbetet. Ekonomisk levnadsstandard samt utbildningsnivå visade sig ha stor betydelse för utbredningen av TBC. Det sociala umgänget är en viktig del i sjukdomsförloppet eftersom patienterna känner att nära och kära undviker dem.

This report is the result of a project in the course Independent Projekt in Molecular Biotechnology at Uppsala University during the spring of 2014. The foremost purpose of the course is to give students the opportunity to carry through exstensive work in a project environment. This project was formed based on a comission from the biotechnology company SweTree Technologies, and the goal has been to compose a summary of the different techniques and methods that exist in the field of mass propagation of trees through the method of somatic embryogenesis.The project group has obtained information about the area mainly throgh reading patents, trying to find key components and bottlenecks in other companies? somatic embryogenesis technologies. This paper is divided into different sections, containing the patents of the automation of different steps in the process.

Det har länge varit känt att stålkonsumtionen har en stor betydelse för samhällsutvecklingen. En ökad stålkonsumtion betraktas ofta som en indikator på ekonomisk utveckling. Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur Kinas stålkonsumtion förhåller sig till den snabba ekonomiska utvecklingen och i vilken inriktning går sambandet, dvs. är det den ekonomiska utvecklingen som driver stålkonsumtionen eller vice versa. Undersökningen omfattar perioden mellan 1970 och 2011.

This paper has bearing on the subject of foreign policy analysis and decision-making,but is nonetheless important to peace and conflict studies due to its emphasis onnuclear weapons and deterrence.I have constructed a theoretical framework for the analysis of foreign policydecision-making that I set out to test on a crucial case. The framework iscrosscutting, and takes into consideration four levels of analysis: the system-,regional-, state-, and individual level. It is centred on a key decision maker, andapplies a cognitive approach for determining his or hers belief system through whichthe inputs from the other levels are filtered in order for the decision maker toconstruct a perception of reality, from which the decision is then formulated within.The framework is applied to North Korean and its leader Kim Jong Il. It sets outto explain his behaviour in the matter of their claimed nuclear weapons program, andhis decision to conduct a nuclear weapons-test, getting inside his head trying to figureout why he chose to do it and for what reasons.The conclusion indicates that the basic structure of the framework and its generalapplicability is sound, but that it needs further testing in order to make it perfectly solid..

Purpose: The purpose of the investigation is to give an insight to hot the EU legal environment in the field of vertical relationships influences the competitiveness of the 2nd tier of the automobile industry. Conclusion:It follows that European legislation has succeedded in raising the competitiveness by breaking down the powers of the predominantly more powerful companies that the 2nd tier players do business with and by giving companies sufficient leeway to act. The comment must be made here that serious problems due to a power misbalance might still exist yet are not uncovered. In the course of my research I have found a lack of issues in my subject field. These problems however would have a more structural and economical cause, dealing with these problems would fall outside the boundaries of the competence of European competition legislation.

Syfte: Syftet med arbetet var att undersöka om ett intag av koffein kan påverka tårproduktionen med hjälp av Schirmer 1 test.Metod: I det här arbetet deltog 30 personer i åldrarna18 ? 28 år (medelåldern var 22,3 ± 2,1 år) som var uppdelade i två grupper med 15 personer i varje grupp. Den ena gruppen fick 200 ml vatten och 300 mg koffein och den andra fick bara 200 ml vatten. Alla deltagares tårproduktion mättes fyra gånger, en gång före intag, efter intag mättes tårproduktionen efter både 30, 60 och 90 minuter. Tårproduktionen mättes med hjälp av Schirmer 1 test, vilket är en pappersfilters remsa med en graderad mm-skala som hängs fast i deltagarens undre ögonlock, där den absorberar ögats tårar.Resultat: Det fanns ingen statistisk signifikant skillnad (p > 0,05) efter koffeinintag, men det fanns det efter vattenintag på höger öga där tårproduktionen minskning var statistiskt signifikant mellan första och sista mätningen (p = 0,011).Slutsats: Det fanns ingen statistisk signifikant skillnad (p > 0,05) efter koffeinintag.

Svenska elever deltar emellanåt i nationella och internationella undersökningar där deras naturvetenskapliga kunskaper testas. På vissa frågor i dessa undersökningar har svenska elever fått ett dåligt resultat, få elever gav ett naturvetenskapligt korrekt svar. Syftet med denna studie är att få en bättre förståelse för hur elever resonerar och handlar i en testsituation. Syftet är även att få en uppfattning om hur valet av testmetod och elevers begreppsförståelse påverkar deras prestationer i naturvetenskapliga test. Genom att, utifrån ett sociokulturellt perspektiv på lärande, samtala med elever har jag försökt se hur de resonerade kring naturvetenskapliga frågor.

Purpose: The purposes of the current study were to investigate whether there were any differences in the perceptual ability between professional and non-professional ice-hockey players and whether professional players are better at distinguishing, paying attention to and concentrating on what is important during intense physical activity. Method: Twenty male ice-hockey players (10 from both the Swedish first and third divisions) participated in the study. Wingate test were used for physiological measurements while three psychological tests were presented in front of the participants. Stroop, Flanker and Fast counting tests were used to measure perceptual and coping abilities during intense physical activity and the differences between the two groups. Results: Fast counting and Flanker word 2 tests showed a significant difference between the two groups, whereby the professional groups was faster and more accurate than the non-professional group in answering.

The research group Soil and Water Management at the department of Soil and Environment at theSwedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Uppsala are studying greenhouse gas emissions fromcultivated peat soils. To measure carbon dioxide emissions from peat soils in the field the researchgroup are now using two portable carbon dioxide meters (Vaisala GMP343). For practical reasons,they plan to acquire a new type of automated field meter. The aim of this study is to evaluate thepresent meters to see how environmental conditions and instrument settings affect the results,which is meant to facilitate the introduction of the new field meter when the meters needs to becompared. As a part of the study the relationship between groundwater level and carbon dioxideemissions from peat soils will be investigated.The evaluation of the two carbon dioxide meters was made by connecting them to one single airtightsystem, with the aim of creating identical measurement environments.

Studien beskriver rangordningar utefter individers personliga preferenser. Syftet är att jämföra kommunens fördelning av bidrag till de utvalda evenemangen Örebro kommun erbjuder. Denna fördelning ska jämföras mot den rangordning gjorda av de utvalda intressegrupperna gällande evenemangen. En inbördes jämförelse mellan intressegrupperna angående individernas personliga preferenser och rangordning samt en inbördes jämförelse mellan könen kommer även att göras. Dessa jämförelser sker med hjälp av ?2-test.

Att kunna mäta ordförståelse är viktigt både inom forskning och kliniska sammanhang. Föreliggande uppsats har tre syften. Det första syftet är att studera de psykometriska egenskaperna hos två nyutprovade parallella test för ordförståelse, Ordprovet A och B, hos äldre vuxna. Uppsatsens andra syfte är att undersöka åldersskillnader i ordförståelse. Det tredje syftet är att undersöka om sambandet mellan kognitiva förmågor ökar som funktion av ökad ålder.
