Tidigare forskning har visat att kvinnor jämför sig socialt för att utvärdera sig själva vid exponering för medialt idealiserade bilder av kvinnor i TV, tidningar och pornografiskt material. Aktuell studie avsåg att undersöka dessa typer av media och social jämförelses påverkan på kvinnors globala, kroppsliga och sexuella självkänsla. Etthundratjugo kvinnor besvarade en enkät innehållande reliabla skalor samt egenutformade frågor. Resultatet visade signifikanta effekter av social jämförelse på kvinnors globala självkänsla. Huvudeffekt av pornografikonsumtion på sexuell självkänsla påträffades.

The main purpose of this thesis is to analyze why or why not Swedish municipalities implement the gender equality policy ? ?right to work fulltime?. In order to understand this institutional change, the analysis is based on a theoretical framework consisting of two fields: political representation and feminist institutionalism. The study is divided into two empirical inquiries. The first part is based on a quantitative survey that describes the casual relationship between two independent variables; women´s political representation and party ideology, and the dependent variable; political decision about ?right to work fulltime?.

Syftet med den här uppsatsen har varit att analysera innehållet i Belinda Olssons tv-serie Fittstim ? min kamp som sändes i SVT under början av år 2014. Uppsatsen har undersökt vilka relationer och identiteter programmet innehåller för att komma fram till vilken bild av feminismen det är som representeras.Uppsatsen består av en övergripande forskningsfråga: hur representeras feminismen i programmet? Samt underfrågorna: hur ser identiteter, relationer och representationer ut i programmet? Hur går serien tillväga för att svara på programmets huvudfråga ?är feminismen på rätt väg? Även det postfeministiska perspektivet är centralt i uppsatsens slutdiskussion eftersom Belinda Olsson som feminist ifrågasätter feminismen i ett program som i sin tur anser sig kartlägga feminismen. Framgår det vad som är subjektiva åsikter och vad som är allmängiltig fakta? Detta är frågor som funnits med under uppsatsens gång.

Uppsatsen diskuterar olika uttolkningar av George Batailles pornografiska kortroman Ögats Historia (L?Histoire de l??il, 1928) utifrån den franska feministiska filosofen Luce Irigarays teorier om Fallogocentrism, en genuin Femininitet och Mimesis.I slutet förekommer även en analys av Ögats Historia som med hjälp av Irigarays tolkningsverktyg och med utgångspunkt i den tidigare uttolkningsdiskussionen försöker producera en positiv feministisk tolkning av texten. AbstractThis paper is an analysis of Virginia Woolf's novel Orlando. My rendering of the novel is inspired by queer-theory and in particular the theories of Judith Butler. In my interpretation I have put my focus mainly on androgyny and transvestite disguise. The purpose of my analysis is to create an understanding of the theme of androgyny in Orlando and see how it relates to the writer's feminist approach. I?ve also used concepts like transvestite disguise and cross-dressing to interpret the main character, Orlando's constant changes of clothes, between female and male clothing.
