The purpose of this investigation is to reveal those hidden factors, which influence how leadership is practised, as well as the roles male and female play in their professions. Furthermore this investigation aims to elude the expectations and demands that leaders experience and their origin.The investigation is based on six interviews of senior managers, two male and four female. A qualitative approach has been utilized to penetrate the subject and understanding of the identified phenomenon. The theories employed to analyse the finding are Lincoln, Gerth & Mills and Merton. To further highlight certain specific results parts of Ahrne, Beck & Beck-Gernsheim theories have also been empoyeed.

Stress är nu ett av Sveriges största folkhälsoproblem. Många lider av stress och stressrelaterade sjukdomar/besvär. En ökande andel av patienter som söker vård hos sjukgymnast har stressrelaterade kroppsliga symtom. Basal Kroppskännedom (BK) är en behandlingsmetod som används för att minska lidandet av stress. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka vilka erfarenheter som finns dokumenterade i vetenskapliga publikationer om BK-behandling vid stress och stressrelaterade sjukdomar/besvär.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att studera förhållandet mellan hälsa och arbetsliv, och hur balansen mellan individ och arbetsmiljö påverkar stress och hälsa. Studien fokuserar på arbetsrelaterad stress och utbrändhet ur ett ledar- och ett medarbetarperspektiv. Arbetsrelaterad stress är ett fenomen som har vuxit sig till ett allvarligt problem, som medfört ökad sjukfrånvaro och ekonomiska konsekvenser för såväl företag som samhälle. Jag har studerat symtom på stress, stresshantering och hur arbetsrelaterad stress och utbrändhet kan förebyggas inom organisationer. Studien grundas på en fallstudie på Luleå tekniska universitet.

Stress innefattar händelser i miljön, fysiologiska reaktioner och psykosociala processer. Socialt stöd och händelser som upplevs vara positiva kan fungera som stressbuffrar. Sällskapsdjur framkallar positiva känslor och reducerar situationsbundna hot samt stressrelaterade tillstånd, och bidrar till indirekta positiva effekter på hälsa. Sambandet mellan ägarskap av djur och stress undersöktes och 152 individer besvarade frågor om upplevd stress med Perceived Stress Scale och djurägarskap. Att djurägare upplever mindre stress än icke-djurägare bekräftades.

Syftet var att med hjälp av en enkätstudie undersöka om det fanns någon skillnad i upplevd autonomi mellan högskolestudenter som upplevde sig ha lägre grad av stress i vardagslivet och de studenter som upplever sig ha högre grad av stress i vardagslivet. Studiens syfte var även att undersöka om det fanns skillnader i upplevd autonomi mellan män och kvinnor. Resultatet visade att det förekom en huvudeffekt mellan deltagarnas upplevda stress och autonomi. Resultatet visade att det inte fanns någon huvudeffekt av kön och inte någon interaktionseffekt mellan kön och stress..

Stress är ett ämne som är högaktuellt i dagens samhälle. Flera yrkeskategorier befinner sig i riskzonen för utbrändhet, däribland lärare. Syftet med det här arbetet är att tydliggöra och lyfta fram hur lärare och elever upplever skolmiljön med utgångspunkt i begreppet stress. Vet man det kan man sedan arbeta för att det ska bli bättre. Arbetet inleds med en litteraturgenomgång där läsaren får kännedom om vad stress är.

Vårt syfte med arbetet var att ta reda på om barn känner sig stressade men även hur ofta och hur mycket stress de känner av. Vi valde att genom enkäter undersöka detta. Resultatet vi fick visar på att majoriteten av vår undersökningsgrupp känner stress regelbundet. Dock blir de inte speciellt stressade när de väl utsätts för stress. Deras reaktioner på stressen är i huvudsak ilska eller illamående men även andra mindre konsekvenser.

The aim of this essay is to answer the question of how, and in what ways Martina Bigert?s and Maria Thulin?s picture Allt om min buske (literally, All about my bush) is queer. Inspired by Judith Butler?s idea of the heterosexual matrix, and Michel Foucault?s discourse I attempt to investigate how sex and sexuality are described in relation to heteronormativity, and if Allt om min buske is either norm-breaking or norm-creating in a wider perspective. This study concludes that antinormativity and queerness are evident within the framework of the picture.

The purpose of the study was to investigate how young female Kurd immigrants experienced their existence between two different cultures, namely Swedish compared to the immigrants parents culture. How their experience behavioural conduct between the opposite sex before marriage and if the young female Kurds thought the mass media picture of them was thought of as a correct image of their lives in general or whether they experienced it as a generalisation only. We chose qualitative methods for our study and used suitable literature based on the theories of this subject to be able to understand the problem. To go deeper whit the study five young female Kurds aged between eighteen and twenty years were asked if they would participate in an interview on the subject. These participants proved that they had no problem at all being multicultural.

Idag utlöses stress i arbetslivet till stor del av psykosociala faktorer. Den ökade användningen av IT sedan 70-talet har lett till att nya faktorer kan utlösa stress. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka vilka faktorer som eventuellt skulle kunna ha samband med stress kopplat till IT-användning. 75 besvarade enkäter låg till grund för analysen. Resultatet av faktoranalysen blev tre faktorer, varav två var kopplade till stress.

The object with this bachelor thesis is to illustrate if equality is present during the interaction between female and male players in the World of Warcraft with focus on the female players conception. The main question is: How does gender matter in the interaction between female and male players in WoW? This question is particularly interesting because WoW is in its own construction neutral in regards to gender in the aspect that gender does not hinder or benefit your avatar when it comes to the avatars development or possibilities. This bachelor thesis describes the views three of female WoW players and how they perceive the interaction with male players with focus on equality. The informants? personal thoughts and experiences are described.

The purpose of this essay is to examine and compare how womanliness and manliness reveal themselves in different children?s books, mainly focusing on the concept of gender, in both text and images aspects. The questions I have chosen to interrogate are the following:How is the male and female role represented in children's books from a gender perspective, in both images and texts? What gender is generally the main character in children's books? What clothes are the characters wearing in children's books? What kind of occupations do the characters practice in children's books? What kind of qualities or attributes do the characters possess in children's books?When it comes to the selection of the method, I have chosen the use a qualitative method, where I use both a text and image analysis. The essay is based on Hirdman's and Hardning's gender theories and alsow on Nikolajeva's theorie about male and female.

The goal with our research has been to describe how often and in what way female athletes are represented in the sport section in Sweden?s biggest evening newspaper Aftonbladet. The material we?ve used are the newspapers that we collected during two weeks in 2008, the 3rd of November to the 9th of November and the 11th of November to the 17th of November. We?ve conduced two qualitative researches ? a text analysis and an image analysis ? and one quantitative analysis on our material.
