The purpose of this masters thesis is to examine outlines of literary history for students at upper secondary school from a gender studies perspective. Earlier theoretical work concerning outlines of literary history is sparse. There are three dissertations, but none with an explicit gender perspective. The theoretical approach comes mainly from theories in literary historiography and gender research. Also discussed are the following concepts: canon, literary field and literary valuation.

Syftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka kvinnors syn på orsakerna till varför de drabbats av utbrändhet. Vid studien användes en kvalitativ metod i form av intervjuer för att kvinnorna själva skulle få reflektera kring orsakerna till sin utbrändhet. Sju kvinnor intervjuades och intervjumaterialet analyserades genom en metod utvecklad av Burnard (1991). Resultatet av studien visar att kvinnorna upplever att det finns flera olika orsaker till att drabbats av utbrändhet i form av hög prestationsbaserad självkänsla, behov av yttre bekräftelse, svårigheter att sätta gränser till omgivningen, behov av att finnas till för andra, oförmåga att lyssna på kroppens signaler, en negativ självvärdering, lätt till att känna skam och misslyckande samt låg självkänsla. Orsakerna samspelar med varandra och gemensamt för dem är att de samtliga bottnar i en låg självkänsla.

For some time researcher has focused their interest on how women are being treated in sports and what impact it has on the development of the sports movement. Researchers in the field have tried to clarify where the problem lies, if it is gender or sex. Are the differences between the sexes caused by how society portrays women or because women and men are built for different purposes. This research paper studied how women in the sports of snowboarding and freeskiing perceived their possibilities to practice their own sports. Furthermore, the study tried to answer if the problems are originated from the culture of the sports, what the possibilities and opportunities women had to make ?it? and what women think is the reason why there are so few female athletes in their sports.

Postfeminism is regarded as being an escape from feminism or as the opposite of feminism because they don?t share feminism?s ideology about equality, gender, and feminism?s questions about power struggle.

Syftet med studien är att öka kunskapen om män som har en impulsiv aggressivitet riktad mot sin partner, och om männens brister i affektmedvetenhet (alexitymi) samt deras förmåga till empati och om de skiljer sig i dessa aspekter från män som söker hjälp för relationsproblem på Manscentrum. 20 män med våldsamt beteende och 20 med relationsproblem fyllde i Aggression Questionnaire-Revised Swedish Version (AQ-RSV), Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS-20) och Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI). Resultaten visade ett positivt samband mellan aggressivitet och alexitymi i hela populationen och ett negativt samband mellan alexitymi och empati. De våldsamma männen var också aggressivare enligt AQ-RSV än de med relationsproblem, men inga andra skillnader var signifikanta. De män som hade erfarenhet av våld i ursprungsfamiljen hade ett starkare samband när det gäller aggressivitet och alexitymi.

The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to examine how The Trilogy of Pippi Longstocking, written by the author Astrid Lindgren, has been received by the critics in the Swedish daily press. A second aim is to examine how the critics could be of importance for the consecration of Pippi as a literary character. The study is mainly based on reviews from the daily press with nationwide coverage. The theoretical framework consists of the French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu?s theories of the literary field, and the method of the reviews is a qualitative text analysis.

AbstractThe purpose of the present study was to clarify and describe what image men and women present and communicate in their profiles on an online dating site. Further has been investigated if traditional gender roles and stereotypes are as pronounced on this online platform or if it offers a space to go beyond traditional formations. The theoretical framework of this study consisted of a social psychological idea and understanding of identity as well as a gender theoretical perspective. The methodological points of departure were hermeneutic and the data consisted of ten male and ten female member profiles on match.com. The results of the study was divided into three themes, the emphasis on positive qualities, the attractive body and project manager to one?s own life.

The aim of this literature review was to describe how nurses in the best way can treat these women, and be able to provide the best care for them when they seek healthcare in Sweden, on account of complications from FGM, and to find out which part education play in the attitudes toward FGM..
