In the 1940s the Swedish town planning was inspired by the English city development with the concepts of neighbourhood and community planning. In order to promote democratic development and solidarity the ideal would be to create community centers with full service. Community centers are part of the building of the suburbs during the postwar period. The buildings in Sweden from 1940 - and -50s were built with the intentions to be good homes for all regardless of income, class and status. Collective solutions to individual problems were characteristic of the Swedish policy during this time.

I takt med att städer runt om i världen växer ökar fokuseringen på miljöproblemen och därmed höjs kraven på ett välfungerande distributionssystem för olika typer av gods. Ett sätt att försöka lösa denna problematik är att samdistribuera gods, vilket har undersökts i olika internationella och nationella projekt. I det nationella projektet SAMLIC, samordnad varudistribution till Linköpings city, har liknande problematik dryftats men med den skillnaden att fokus ligger på att skapa ett ekonomisk och logistiskt effektivt distributionssystem för alla inblandade parter. Bieffekterna av en sådan fokusering blir särskilt positiva eftersom även bättre miljö och service uppnås.En viktig aspekt då det gäller SAMLIC-projektet är att initiativet till att starta ett projekt inom ramen för samdistribution av varor i Linköpings city ursprungligen kommer från näringslivet. Anledningen till att ett initiativ till ett samdistributionsprojekt togs under år 2000 var att näringslivet insett att mängden leveranser in i och ut ur Linköpings innerstad gav upphov till trängsel och därmed stora trängselkostnader.

The Swedish coastal defence took on a whole new meaning after the introduction of the coastal artillery in 1902. The establishment of the coastal artillery meant that the Swedish military had access to a whole new military branch, in addition to the Army and the Navy. Under the direction of one general, two regiments were established. One in Vaxholm and the second in the naval city of Karlskrona. With my starting point in the wild vegetation and the spontaneous activities taking place on derelict land and in industrial ruins, I explore with help from the theoretical sociology, what creates not only this fascination but also fear. The purpose of the thesis is to explore and exemplify how the industrial ruin as a place outside the restrictions and control as well as design intentions of modern society can be used as an inspiration in a landscape architecture context.The modern city consists of areas and places with a well defined purpose. Stockholm is growing with almost two fully loaded SL-buses a day. One of the consequences that derive from this is the increase of public transport travelers who put the regionally governed public transport up to the test in terms of its capacity. The Transport administration in Stockholm County initiated 2015 a project with the purpose of simplifying the calculation of bus stop capacities. A hypothesis (set up by the Transport administration) based on that a model for calculation of bus stop capacities could be calibrated for Stockholm conditions is being researched in this bachelor?s essay.The study is implemented by self-collected traffic data from bus stops located in the Stockholm city center.

Syftet med uppsatsen har varit att fördjupa oss i hur teori, metod och beprövad erfarenhet kan användas vid utformandet av en reklamkampanj. Vi har använt de kunskaper vi fick till att sammanställa en reklamkampanj åt uppdragsgivaren Zest som är en ekologisk matbar i Karlstad. Målet med kampanjen var att visa upp deras unika utbud av mat. För att vi skulle kunna utforma en kampanj som var både visuellt attraktiv och kunde nå ut till tänkbara kunder på bästa sätt grundades kampanjen i både teori om grafisk formgivning och dess principer. De principer vi använde inom grafisk formgivning var layout, bilder och bildkomposition samt typografi.
