This paper is a degree project on the C-level, 15 points at University West, Department of Business and IT dept. Informatics. This study is about agile methodology and its impact on IT projects. Requirements management is a process within an IT project, where customer has certain requirements that must be met by an IT system. The difference between the traditional and agile development is in the requirements management process and it can cause problems in a project.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) är ett omfattande forskningsområde där studier om hur företagens hållbarhetsarbete utförs. Ett område som det går att inrikta sig på, är hållbarhetsarbete inom kontroversiella branscher, där företagen riskerar att få påtryckningar av sina intressenter. Företagen använder intressentdialoger som sin grund för deras hållbarhetsarbete. Problem kan uppstå om intressenterna får en allt för stor påverkan på hållbarhetsarbetet, vilket kan leda till att företagen lägger fokus på att besvara intressenternas kritik istället för att arbeta med verksamhetsutvecklad CSR. CSR-kommunikationens effekt och motiv blir då intressant.

The purpose of this thesis is to explore and analyze the processes and efforts involved in rebuilding the war-torn state of Afghanistan. The examined period span from the fall of the Taliban regime in 2001, to the elections in 2005. This period, commonly known as the Bonn-process, sets out the initial time for the reconstruction of the state.A theoretical framework, which considers the necessary mechanisms for successful state-building, will be used to analyze Afghanistan's re-building process. The mechanisms include the prerequisite of a stable security environment, emerging from a cease-fire, together with the development of a well-functioning economy, re-introduction of rule of law and rejuvenating civil society.The failure to establish a secure environment has had a devastating impact on all analyzed aspects of the re-building process. It is therefore crucial that the international society continuing to assists the Afghan government in its efforts to strengthen its capacity, in order to improve the security situation.

Sedan 2006 har myndigheter och kommuner i Sverige arbetat med att införa EU: s nya förordningar rörande livsmedelspolitik. Målet med dessa förordningar är att säkerställa säkra livsmedel för alla konsumenter inom EU. Begreppet säkra livsmedel bygger i sin tur på strategin från jord till bord där EU: s mål är att livsmedel ska behandlas på ett säkert sätt i hela produktionskedjan till försäljning. Det är i nuläget upp till varje medlemsstat att implementera, med implementering menas att politiska beslut förverkligas i förvaltningarna de nya lagarna och målet är att livsmedel ska vara lika säkra var man än befinner sig inom EU: s gränser. Uppsatsen syfte är att analysera hur långt implementeringen av Europalagstiftningen rörande livsmedel med fokus på utbildning och kunskap har kommit i en medelstor kommun i Sverige (Nyköping)..

The failure of Structural Adjustment Programs and its neoliberal policies to effectively reduce poverty have led to the creation of Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper (PRSP) by The World Bank and International Monetary Fund. PRSP, connected to both the Comprehensive Development Strategy and the HIPC initiative, are built on the notion of national ownership and stakeholder participation and thereby expand potential conditionality to include matters of governance. This thesis examines the evolution of PRSP and how the process of participation affects national governance structures. By analyzing the role of rules and norms within the World Bank and IMF from a historical point of view the thesis explains why the participation process has developed the way it has. It concludes that neoliberal norms, still at heart within the World Bank and IMF, have an impact on the process of participation within nation states and thereby its governance structure.

This study concerns how organizations manage various problematic areaswhen implementeing Business Intelligence and experiences from BusinessIntelligence project failures on management level. In order to highlightthese questions, we have carried out interviews with four organizationswhich have great experience in working with Business Intelligence on adaily basis.The result of the study shows that all organizations deal with difficultiesregarding cost-benefit issues and justification concerning BusinessIntelligence investments. The result also showed that the organizationsfaced difficulties with integration concerning time and cost. Documentingand securing support systems presented different attitudes between theorganizations, primary in the question about sub complements to BusinessIntelligence and in the way that they were documented. In the discourse oflegal issues and privacy the majority of the organizations chose not to storepersonal information relative to legal security demands.

Det här är en masteruppsats i fysisk planering med inriktning omvärldsanalys och strategiskt arbete i kommunal översiktlig planering. Uppsatsen undersöker hur kommuners omvärldsanalyser ser ut samt hur de utifrån dessa formulerar strategier. Vidare undersöker uppsatsen vilka huvuddragen i strategierna är samt vilka planeringsprojekt som kommunen menar ska bidra till att strategin uppnås. Med hjälp av kvalitativ innehållsanalys och semistrukturerade personliga intervjuer har två översiktsplaner och en fördjupad översiktsplan för Helsingborg, Malmö respektive Ystad undersökts. Uppsatsen åskådliggör ett tydligt generellt mönster för samtliga undersökta strategier; förtätning genom blandad bebyggelse, marknadsföring och regionförstoring genom gränsöverskridande samarbete..

The aim of this Master?s thesis was to find out more about the delimiting quality- and shelf-life parameters over time for liquid oat-based products. According to that, to present applicable subjective and objective shelf-life test approaches at accelerated conditions. The study aimed to gain a deeper knowledge concerning the general and accepted way of performing accelerated storage tests. This study focused especially on products, which suffer from quality failure caused by oxidation, such as liquid oat-based products.

In this thesis I discuss how the western conception of reason is an aspect of power. I consider the western comprehension of rationality to be a masculine and ethnocentric understanding, though by itself acclaimed to be universal. My purpose with this thesis is to analyze how this western and masculine conceptualisation of reason follows a gramscian structure of power, which makes it reproduce itself in the postcolonial project of science.The theory of hegemony and ideology of Antonio Gramsci is central for analyzing the reproduction of the western subject of knowledge. The theoretical approach is also based on the understanding of the Other as essential for defining the identity of the self. My two main objects of study is one text of Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak, which discuss the problems of representation, and one of Chandra Talpade Mohanty, in which she examines the tendency to neocolonization in certain western postcolonial feminist research.

SAMMANFATTNINGNatriuretiska peptider är en är en grupp proteiner som via natriuretiska, diuretiska och vasodilaterande egenskaper reglerar vätskehomeostasen i kroppen (Levin et al, 1998). De frisätts bland annat när hjärtmuskelcellerna utsätts för stress och kan fungera som biomarkör för att utvärdera hjärtsjukdom. Analysering av typ B natriuretic peptide (BNP) i blod kan komma att vara till hjälp för den praktiserande veterinären vid diagnostisering av hjärtsvikt och även vid uppskattning av grad av hjärtsjukdom. Det har även visat sig att BNP kan användas för att uppskatta prognosen hos hundar med kronisk klaffdegeneration (Chetboul et al, 2009; Moonarmart et al, 2010).Kronisk klaffdegeneration är den vanligaste hjärtsjukdomarna hos hund och drabbar fram för allt små till medelstora hundar från medelåldern och uppåt (Kogure, 1980). Atrioventrikulärklaffarna, vanligtvis mitralis, blir nodulärt förtjockade med inlagring av glukosaminoglykaner och fibrosvävnad vilket leder till klaffinsufficiens.

För många närstående förändras livet radikalt när  en anhörig diagnostiseras med hjärtsvikt. Att leva med hjärtsvikt är som att "knacka på dödens dörr och aldrig veta vad som är att vänta av morgondagen". Att stanna hemma och vårda en en anhörig under palliativ fas innebär stora påfrestningar i närståendes liv. Syfte: Att belysa närståendes upplevelser när anhörig med hjärtsvikt vårdas palliativt i hemmet. Metod: Studien utfördes som en allmän litteraturstudie.

Critique regarding religious practices has become more and more apparent in today's society.Sans magazine has become a voice in the Swedish debate regarding religions undertakings and have received opposition from various directions. As Sans magazine, issue no.1, is accused of being islamophobic, the critique is focused on the internal discourse within the atheist and agnostic society. As Sans issue no.2 came out, it did not focus on Islam or any of the abrahamic religions but instead it discussed New age and the nature of pseudoscience.I sought to evolve the didactic discource regarding ?truth? and ?reality? by finding if thediscourse within Sans is apparent and if so, what it is based upon. The analysis also focuses onthe terms used to describe new age and pseudoscience.

Problembakgrund: Transportsektorn och framförallt vägtransporter är den enskilt störstaproblemområdet med avseende på kolidioxidutsläpp i världen. Förändringsåtgärderna somhittills har gjorts inom sektorn är otillräckliga, främst eftersom det totala antalet transporterfortfarande ökar. Företag, främst industriländerna, har under de senaste decennierna börjatintegrera miljömål i sina företagsstrategier. Det statliga transport- och logistikföretaget GreenCargo bildades år 2001 och samma år införde företaget ett balanserat styrkort med integrerademiljömål. Meningen var att arbetarna skulle känna sig mer delaktiga och se att det går attpåverka utfallen.

Prokrastinering innebär att frivilligt skjuta upp en viktig aktivitet, trots vetskapen om att det leder till stress, ångest och ytterligare negativa konsekvenser. Enligt forskning anses 80-95 % av alla högskolestudenter prokrastinera,  50 % av studenterna uppger att detta leder till problem. Self-efficacy är individens tilltro till den egna förmågan att klara av saker. Syftet med studien var att undersöka prokrastinering i relation till self-efficacy och studieresultat. Metoden som användes var en webbenkät där två mätinstrument kombinerades, varav dessa är välkända inom forskning på området, Procrastination Assessment Scale for Students samt College Academic Self-efficacy Scale.

Laminitis is a debilitating disease causing much suffering to horses and ponies all over the world. It is manifested in the hooves as a mechanical failure of the suspensory apparatus between the hoof capsule and the distal phalanx. Due to the weight of the horse the disease may result in a dislocation of third phalanx. Six healthy standardbred trotters were used in this study on whether standardbreds tolerate forced recumbency as well as Shetland ponies. Recumbency was induced pharmacologically but maintained only by lowering the ceiling height of the box to a height of approximately 125 ? 140 % of the horse´s thoracic height.
