 AbstractBackground: Among elderly people with dementia pain is a common problem. In older persons, particularly those suffering from dementia and cognitive impairment pain is often underdiagnosed and undertreated causing unnecessary pain, suffering and affect quality of life negatively. Dementia complicates the identification of pain when the natural ability to communicate decreases when a person is suffering from dementia. It is important that health professionals working with older persons with dementia are aware of the person?s pain expression.Aim: To clarify how older persons with dementia communicate pain expression.Method: To study this area a literature review was used.

Den här uppsatsen undersöker de diskurser som kan formuleras kring hur tatuerade personer talar om sig själva och om tatueringskonsten, utifrån en diskursanalytisk studie av intervjuer i Scandinavian Tattoo Magazine. Uppsatsens teoretiska och metodologiska ramverk är byggt kring Marianne Winther Jørgensens och Louise Phillips diskursteoretiska begreppsbygge, som i sig framförallt grundas i Ernesto Laclaus och Chantal Mouffes diskursanalytiska begrepp. De formulerade diskurserna; sexualitetsdiskursen, ironiseringsdiskursen, möjligheternas diskurs, individualitetsdiskursen och maskulinitetsdiskursen, har diskuterats utifrån begrepp tagna från Mary Douglas (renhet och fara), Slavoj ?i?ek (cynism) samt Peter L. Berger och Thomas Luckmann (typifieringschema och face-to-face-situationen).Uppsatsens analys visade att kvinnor inte bara föredras som representanter för tatuering i tidskriftens intervjuer, utan också att de, till skillnad från männen, sexualiseras kraftigt.

När blir attraktion verklighet? En explorativ undersökning av Internetdejtare i Norge och Sverige på dejtingsajten Q500

Syftet med denna uppsats var att undersöka dels vad det är som får människor att vilja träffas "face-to-face" från en kontakt via Internet, dels vad som väcker attraktion för en annan människa på Internetdejtingsajten Q500. Totala antalet deltagare var 732 stycken, varav 395 kvinnor och 337 män. En explorativ undersökning har gjorts med hjälp av två riktade enkäter; en för de som hade dejtat någon via Internet och en för de som inte hade det. Frågeställningarna för undersökningen var vad användarna på Q500 uppfattade som särskilt attraherande, vad som kunde tänkas leda fram till en dejt offline från en kontakt online och om eventuella signifikanta skillnader fanns mellan könen, samt mellan de som dejtat och de som inte dejtat någon tidigare via Internet rörande hur de skattat frågeområdena. Civilstånd och ålder korrelerades med skattningarna och det framkom en del svaga positiva samband.

Today's consumers are demanding more and more from companies and are no longer as easy to im-press as they used to be. It is now the consumers that hold an increasing amount of power over com-panies and not the other way around. This change in consumer behaviour has caused an identity crisis for traditional advertising, and companies are now searching for new ways of reaching their target audience. The purpose of this combined qualitative and quantitative case study is to examine possible risks and possibilities that a retailing company face when communicating through Facebook. Data has been collected through in-depth interviews with company representatives combined with a quantitative study of the company's Facebook followers in order to answer the questions of (1) which possibilities and risks a retailing company face through the use of a Facebook fanpage and (2) if there is a differ-ence in the attitude and behaviour of active respectively passive followers that may have been caused by a retailing company's marketing communication on Facebook.

AbstractWorking with child and youth welfare is one of the most difficult challenges a social worker might face in the field of social work. Those who work with child and youth welfare are more exposed to stress and burnout than other comparable human service occupations. Research links the prevalence of stress and burnout to several key variables, such as demographics, working conditions and personality factors. In contrast, even though social workers in this field face many negative work-related problems they report a high job satisfaction. The aim of this study is to examine how uplifting and straining experiences affect social workers, who work with child and youth welfare, through the use of The Critical Incident Technique and interviews.

Samiska kvinnors levnadsvillkor i kulturen och rennäringen

Previous research often includes juridical, political, economical and historical aspects of the Sami population. The research about the Sami women are limited therefore is was important to investigate the living conditions of the Sami women. The purpose with the study was to investigate the living conditions of the Sami women from a culture- and reindeer-herding view in relation to social gender and the majority society. Four individual interviews were performed with women who worked with reindeer-herding in the Sapmi area in north of Sweden. The interview guide was semi-structured and the data were analysed with the phenomenological method Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis, which has a focus on subjective experiences.

Äldre och rädslans paradox : Konstruktionen av hotets och rädslans samhälle

The aim of this thesis is to examine the fear of crime in old peoples lives. Notwithstanding that the age category is exposed to crime to a low degree, old people are experiencing a great fear of crime relative younger people. This is the paradox of fear, also recognized in gender studies. The question is how this paradox can be understood. To answer this, twelve elderly men and women have been interviewed and the reports about crime in the local newspaper, Norrköpings Tidningar, has been analyzed, through discourse analysis.The discursive construction of fear is here discussed in terms of discourses of a fearful society, and stereotypes of old age.

Fans och Lojalitet : En studie om hur lojala fans skapas och bibehålls i musikbranschen

SyfteSyftet med denna uppsats är att tydliggöra samt klarlägga hur artister och teamenkring dessa arbetar för att bygga och bibehålla starka relationer mellan fan och artist.Fortsättningsvis vill vi även öka förståelsen kring hur fansen uppfattar denna typ avarbete för att upprätthålla relationen.Utifrån syftet har vi utvecklat följande forskningsfråga;- Vad präglar artistens och dennes medarbetares arbete med relationerna gentemotfansen?MetodVi har i denna uppsats valt att arbeta utifrån en kvalitativ ansats för att kunna samla inrelevant information från olika perspektiv och för att få en djupare förståelse förämnet. Vi har intervjuat tio olika respondenter, både fans och inflytelserika personerinom musikbranschen. Dessa har genomförts face-to-face, via mail samt över Skype.Förutom intervjuerna har vi även analyserat litteratur, artiklar och onlinekällor.SlutsatserUppsatsen sammanfattas i ett avslutande kapitel bestående av våra slutliga tankar ochen kort sammanfattning av svaret till vår forskningsfråga. I detta kapitel presenterar viatt relationen mellan artist och fan behöver vara personlig för att en artist ska kunnaskapa en varaktig lojal fanbase.

The main purpose of this work was to examine the information behavior of nonfiction publishing Company editors. Three problem areas were presented and expressed in the following questions:- What is the information need of the editor in every day work?- Which sources of information do the editors use when they are looking for information and how do they make use of them?- Are there any factors that have an influence on the information behavior of the editors and in what way do the factors effect the information behavior of the editors in their everyday work? And finally, do the editors experience any factors as barriers to information behavior?Six editors, all with academical background, all employed in different publishing companies were interviewed. The result of this study have been analysed within a theoretical framework influenced by the work of Tom Wilson, Lars Höglund and Olle Persson and Block and Lagberg. The result shows that the editors had various regular needs of information in their every day work.

Bakgrund: Röntgensjuksköterskor arbetar inom en högteknologisk miljö, där utvecklingen har gått snabbt. När röntgensjuksköterskans arbete övergick till digital arbetsmiljö och dataskärmsarbete, blev kommunikationen mellan radiologer och röntgensjuksköterskor hämmad och arbetsmiljön förändrades. Nya ansvarsområden tillkom och lämnade utrymme för fler självständiga arbetsuppgifter. Syfte: Syftet med detta arbete är att kartlägga vilka för- och nackdelar som den digitala kommunikationen har medfört för röntgensjuksköterskor och radiologer. Metod: En litteraturöversikt genomfördes via systematiska sökningar i databaserna Cinahl, PubMed och Scopus.

In this study, I focus on the Internet, which is an important channel for the information, communication and marketing in network society. As whole network society, the Internet is constantly developing.This study, implemented with qualitative interviews, has the purpose to give new, deep and interesting knowledge about business to business companies? communication and marketing on the Internet.

The fitting room is an important part of a clothing store, it's often where the customer decides if they want to buy the garment or not. Therefore it is important that the customer can feel safe and comfortable when they are trying the clothing. A typical fitting room in Sweden today has only one bright spotlight that emits light either towards the face or from the ceiling above. This study explores possible lighting solutions that take into account the customer's experience in the fitting room.The study aim to increase understanding of the importance of a good light in fitting rooms, so that customers gets a nice experience and that clothes, body shape and facial features are shown in a natural way. The issue therefore included how lighting can affect the customer's perception of the clothing and how the perception of body shape, facial features and the clothes change in different lighting solutions.To answer these questions, observations were made in various clothing stores, followed by an experimental study divided into two parts.

Samband mellan tjockleken hos PVD-skikt och förslitningsbeteendet vid svarvning

This project has as main goal to study the influence of the coating thickness, deposited by arc-PVD- technology, on the wear resistance of coated cemented carbide inserts in three different turning operations. An additional effort has also been made to develop a new test method for evaluating flank wear resistance. Three different coating types (Coating A, Coating B and Coating C) have been studied in three distinctive thicknesses (2, 4 and 6 µm) for each type. For two of the coating types (Coating A and B) special studies has been done with the thickest coating, creating two additional coating versions of the thickest coating, by changing various deposition parameters, with the aim to enhance the cohesive properties of the coating and lower the residual stresses at the cutting edge. The results show increased crater wear resistance with increased coating thickness for all coating types, but the amount of increase changes with coating type (Coating A>B>C).
