This bachelor thesis aims to draw attention to sound in the heritage sector in Sweden. In particular, to thesoundscapes that can be identified in our cultural heritage environments. Sounds in an environment, here calledsoundscapes, affect our perception of the environment and how we remember it.To find out how the heritage sector uses and would be able to use sounds, I have firstly studied if audio recording iscomparable with the visual photographic image. I then present examples of sound documentation concerning theconservation of built environment. In addition, I have interviewed five key informants who all have a centralresponsibility for five cultural heritage environments.

This study is about how school counselors in Kalmar County view the need for a pupil curative work online, what they believe are ethical aspects to be considered in social work online and if they feel they have sufficient training to conduct pupil curative conversations online. The aim has been to make contact with universities in Sweden to see if they have elements of social work education that lectures a social work online.The study is based on semi-structured interviews with school counselors in Kalmar County. The majority of the interviewed school counselors lacked the knowledge and experience of a student curative work online but some had discussed this phenomenon at work. One counselor worked daily with a pupil curative work online. The intention of interviewing universities to investigate whether there are elements of social work education that addresses a social work online defaulted unfortunately because they choose not to participate in the study.The main conclusion of our study is that school counselors consider themselves lacking sufficient knowledge to conduct pupil curative conversations online.

Förståelsen för andra människor som krävs för lyckade interaktioner, förklaras i attributionsteorierna "Theory of Mind" och "Simulation Theory. Ett vanligt men ouppklarat fenomen är det fundamentala attributionsfelet, där beteende felaktigt attribueras till inre generella egenskaper. Fenomenet reflekterar en abstrakt mental konstruktion i enlighet med Construal Level Theorys antagande om hur psykologisk distans inverkar på perception. I en modifierad Attitude Attribution Paradigm modell undersöks om spatial distans påverkar det fundamentala attributionsfelet och om skillnader föreligger mellan kvinnor och män. Kort/lång spatial distans primades genom en kontroversiell text, via information om dess kompositionsplats, som fungerade som underlag för bedömning av skribentens åsikt.

This thesis examines the perception and use of the school library for students at an Upper Secondary School. The school has a high frequent of immigrant students, and the students interviewed all have an immigrant background. The intention was to find out how the students used the school library and what perception they have of the school library. The method used was semi-structured interviews with eight students, both males and females, who studies different educational programs. The instrument of theory was that from Elisabeth Tallaksen Rafste?s theoretical framework.

The survey aims to problematize masculinity in the exhibitions of the museum.  In what way is masculinity interpreted and valued in exhibitions? What is the attitude towards masculinity in gender oriented museological texts? This study investigates in which way masculinity is written about ? how interpretations of masculinity emerge in the texts and what consequences this may have.The survey is based on the method of discourse analysis and the material is processed from a gender perspective. The source material consists of museological texts dealing with the topic of gender and museology, which also is the core material. A complement to this is a selection of exhibition catalogs from museums as well as reviews which are also based on art exhibitions. The main point of the source material consists of the museological texts.The survey highlights that the gender-conscious museological discourse understands, interpret and evaluate masculinity on a more or less given regulatory framework.

Syftet med denna studie har varit att undersöka hur organisationer styr sina anställda genom att erbjuda medarbetarna en möjlighet till karriär inom företaget. Jag har valt att fokusera på anställda från främst två företag och kan därför inte generalisera mitt resultat.Datainsamlingen skedde via intervjuer, två stycken face-to-face, två stycken via telefon samt en intervju genom e-post. Två av intervjupersonerna arbetade på en bank, två inom en snabbmatskedja och en intervjuperson var egen företagare. Materialet från intervjuerna analyserades utifrån Göran Ahrnes begrepp kollektiva resurser, makt och maktrelationen och tillhörighet.I resultatet fann jag ett flertal olika sätt som organisationers erbjudanden om karriär styr den anställda. Att eventuellt behöva byta bostadsort för att få arbeta på den önskvärda positionen var ett krav från organisationerna som framkom under intervjuerna.

Social media have become a bigger and bigger aspect of daily life for many ages and especially within the youth culture growing from digital interactions. At the same time libraries seems eager to use this medium to reach out to the youth to inform and to educate. But do we know enough about how these two groups? views each other to be effective at this work? And is it even something that is wanted? What?s the image of social media from their point of view?The goal of this study is to investigate the image of social media from the point of view of two groups, librarians and youth. The study is based on a qualitative approach with a random selection of candidates.

Denna uppsatsen undersöker varför våld i film är så utbrett och populärt. Jag använder mig av ett evolutionärbiologiskt perspektiv, som tidigare inte använts vid filmforskning i så stor utsträckning. Istället har filmforskning och andra studier på människans beteende oftast utgått ifrån ett socialkonstruktivistiskt perspektiv. Uppsatsen är av typen ?forskningsöversikt? vilket innebär att jag inte har gjort någon klassisk analys på ett filmiskt verk eller empiriskt material, utan har sammanställt en stor mängd forskning från andra forskare.

This thesis is covering my design of an architectural object for the use in a pedagogical setting. The purpose is to create contextual premises for students, making possible the testing of designs, involving plants suitable for the urban environment. Hence, the main features in the object design is suggestive to the urban outdoor rooms - rooms that are formed amongst the city facades. The thesis is also about the design process set out from a technical reality, based on camera imagery. To a large extent, the thesis consists of reflections concerning the object's function towards pedagogy, perception and materials. Furthermore, the object claims to be a hybrid between architecture and landscape architecture.

Detta arbete undersöker hur applikationen av vetenskapliga teorier inom visuell perception, gestaltpsykologi och färglära kan påverka uppkomsten av oönskade mönster i sömlösa texturer och om detta kan ge en grafiker en bättre förståelse för hur man kan undvika dessa oönskade mönster i sömlösa texturer.För att undersöka detta så skapades tre texturer med tre varianter vardera. I texturvarianterna applicerades de tidigare nämnda teorierna för att motverka respektive framhäva uppkomsten av oönskade mönster.Nio kvalitativa intervjuer genomfördes där informanterna fick se samtliga texturer och deras texturvarianter och sedan svara på frågor. Svaren analyserades och jämfördes med de tidigare nämnda teorierna. Samtliga informanter påverkades av applikationen av de vetenskapliga teorierna, men de uppfattade upprepningen på olika sätt beroende på hur ofta de spelade datorspel.Anledningen till att informanterna uppfattade upprepningen i texturerna olika är något som skulle vara intressant att undersöka i framtiden..

The purpose of this qualitative study has been; how social bonds are interlaced between the social worlds contained within the analytical division of ?outside Internet? and ?within Internet?. What happens with the social bond as the individual oscillate between this analytic bisection? This purpose raises important questions of the use of Internet in everyday life.A new stance is taken toward studying the Internets integration into everyday life. The focus is adjusted to the importance of emotions.

This paper examines the amount of influence that upper secondary school pupils of the Swedish voluntary school system. The curriculum clearly states that democratic values are to be instilled with the pupils at an early age, and that the pupils are to have a degree of democratic influence over their tutelage. This paper is based upon a survey, which involves one hundred and fourteen pupils at the Malmö Latin gymnasium. The hypothesis argues that upper secondary school pupils in Sweden have very little knowledge in this area and it contradicts much of the previous research done in this field. The pupils´ ages vary from fifteen to eighteen years of age.The survey shows that the pupils of this school have little or no knowledge of their democratic rights within the school boundaries.

Sustainability reports are drawn up for the company's stakeholders and declare the company?s corporate social responsibility. Consumers are one of the companies' most important stakeholders for food companies. This study is aimed to describe how consumers perceive sustainability reporting in the food industry and if the application level of the GRI framework has an impact on how consumers perceive sustainability reports. Consumer perception is described in the GRI principles and the basis is the ICA and Coop's sustainability reports, which are two of Sweden's largest food company.

BACKGROUND: A telephone nurse is a nurse that during most of its working time is engaged in healthcare advice via the telephone. The advent of the telephone healthcare advice has probably meant that individuals, who initially wouldn?t have sought help, if they needed to meet healthcare providers face to face, now actually have the confidence to turn to healthcare. For telephone healthcare advice is professional care to identify, assess and advise on individuals? reactions to actual or potential health problems.
