The report describes a measuring method for analysis of energy consumption measurement in microwave ovens. Concurrently that the awareness of the environment evolves the demands are growing for more power saving products. This is also counting within the Home Appliance business, which is Whirlpools business area. Whirlpool is therefore interested of launching microwave ovens with documented low power consumption. To be able to implement this, both asserted measuring equipment, that fulfils all demands, and a standard procedure is required.

In today?s world there are plenty of technological tools and methods available with the purpose to increase peoples motivation for a healthier lifestyle. One such tool is a so-called activity tracker which uses sensors to log the user's everyday life and present it as automatic feedback. Gamification is a new and successful method to motivate and engage people in fulfilling tasks by using game elements and mechanics. In this study, five participants were instructed to use the activity tracker and pedometer Fitbit Flex daily for three weeks. Halfway through the study the participants were ranked and listed against each other in a ranking list in order to evoke competition.

Osseointegrated titanium implants have become a commonly used method in edentulous jaws and today there are success rates in the magnitude of 82 % in the lower jaw and 98 % in the upper. During first year after implantation a fully normal marginal bone loss of 1-2 mm occurs. If the bone loss continues there is a risk of implant failure. High tensions in bone and inflammation caused by bacteria are possible reasons for this problem. It has been shown that a leakage of bacterias occurs between the parts of the implant and there are theories that this has effects on the marginal bone loss. The aim of this thesis has been to increase the knowledge about microbial leakage with help of in vitro tests and virtual simulations.

Syftet med detta examensarbete har varit att få en större kunskap om den musikaliska gestaltningen av karaktärer i film, samt att få en utökad kunskap om filmmusik generellt. Uppsatsen inleds med en kort skildring av filmmusikens historia samt en redogörelse för den tidigare forskning som berör ämnet. Därefter har en funktionell analysmetod, baserad i en kategorisering av filmmusikens olika berättarfunktioner, presenterats. Analysen är grundad i två frågeställningar och dess syfte har varit att ta reda på musikens narrativa funktion i film och de eventuella mönster som kunnat urskiljas i det musikaliska berättandet. Fyra olika scener ur fyra filmer har analyserats, alla med den gemensamma nämnaren att de gestaltar ett eller flera mord.Vidare har analysen sammanfattats.

Denna uppsatts är ett kandidatarbete på programmet för Fysisk Planering på Blekinge Tekniska Högskola och omfattar 15 hp. Uppsatsen genomförs under utbildningens tredje år. Uppsatsen undersöker hur problem och konflikter med konflikter vid hantering av olika sorters trafiksystem på samma plats har skapat en problematisk trafiksituation i Bergåsa. Vilka aktörer som bidragit till att dessa konflikter uppstått undersöks, och hur dessa aktörer även begränsar platsens framtida utveckling. Detta genomförs genom en teknisk och historisk studie av platsen, kopplat till en analys av aktörernas påverkan på processen.

The aim of this study was to investigate which factors teachers and special needs education teachers view as being the main causes of mathematical learning difficulties and from these choose how to educate pupils with these difficulties. The aim was also to investigate how this education is organised at two different schools. An interview based investigation addressed these objectives by using three comprehensive questions:Which factors do the teachers and special needs teachers view as being the main reasons for mathematical learning difficulties?How do teachers and special needs teachers educate pupils with mathematical learning difficulties?How is the education organised for pupils with mathematical learning difficulties at two different schools?This study is based on four interviews of three teachers and one special needs teacher. The people interviewed work at two different primary schools in the same local authority.

This paper examines the texts written on shards from wine-jars found at El-Amarna, Tutankhamuns tomb (KV 62) and Deir el-Medina. Information concerning the administration of wine and its production, found in these texts, is examined. Wine was an important element in Egyptian society and a common iconographic motif in tombs at Thebes during New Kingdom.A survey on previous research on the subject is presented. This is followed by analysis of the different reoccurring elements found in the texts. A definition of the standard formulation of the wine jar label texts is given and the minimal level of information needed for the administration of wine production and distribution is identified. The chapter of the analysis deals with the various types of information given in the label texts, such as date, wine classification, and function.

Detta arbete visar processen och olika element som kan användas eller krävs för att skapa en trovärdig fantasymiljö. Genom att läsa, samla in och sammanfatta information om miljöer, växter, tekniska processer, färger, ljus och form från litteratur, internet och egna erfarenheter har vi skapat en slags guide över hur man kan skapa en trovärdig miljö. Växter kan inte ha för enformig placering i miljön utan måste placeras enligt slumpmässig naturligt kaos. De 3D-modeller som miljön innefattar måste ha vissa attribut så som smuts, damm, röta, brister, rivor och sprickor. Inget är kliniskt rent i naturen. Något som man oftast inte tänker på, är att det nästan inte finns kanter i naturen som är helt skarpa och vassa, därför bör man tänka på att runda de flesta kanterna på sina modeller.

Fyrpålsfundament har traditionellt utförts med uppbockad jämnt fördelad rutarmering. Efter införandet av de europeiska konstruktionsreglerna, Eurokoderna, rekommenderas att en fackverksmodell tillämpas vid dimensionering av pålfundament. Normalt appliceras en fackverksmodell med trycksträvor som går från pelare ut till respektive påle och med dragband mellan pålarna. Armeringen utförs som slutna slingor koncentrerat mellan pålarna. Entreprenör föredrar den jämnt fördelade rutarmeringen då utförandet av den armerade betongplattan underlättas.I det här examensarbetet undersöks en alternativ fackverksmodell som förväntas ge en spänningsbild som motiverar en jämnare utbredd armering i betongplattans underkant samtidigt som alla dimensioneringskrav i brottgränstillstånd är uppfyllda.

Syftet med föreliggande studie var att beskriva hur patienter som är hiv-positiva upplever att de blir bemötta av sjuksköterskor inom vården. För att svara på detta syfte har en kvalitativ intervjustudie med beskrivande design genomförts. Deltagarna i studien rekryterades utefter ett bekvämlighetsurval och antalet deltagare var sex stycken. För att utföra intervjuerna användes en semistrukturerad frågeguide med öppna frågor. Det insamlade materialet bearbetades med hjälp av en kvalitativ, manifest innehållsanalys.

Syftet med denna studie är att belysa hur personal inom LSS upplever brukares möjlighet till inflytande och självbestämmande avseende sina måltidssituationer. Syftet är uppdelat i två frågeställningar, för det första hur personal upplever brukares möjlighet till inflytande och självbestämmande rörande måltider. För det andra, vilket organisatoriskt handlingsutrymme personalen har rörande brukares måltidssituationer. Det empiriska materialet består av sex intervjuer med sex informanter, som alla arbetar i två olika kommuner i Sverige. Resultatet visar att det har hänt mycket för brukarna i positiv riktning rörande självbestämmande, framförallt sedan avinstitutionaliseringen på 1980-talet.

A clean and affordable energy source for cooking is deficient in developing countries. People rely on fuels that contribute to environmental, social and health problems.Biogas is an alternative energy source and an increased investment in small-scale biogas production can in several developing countries be found. Several projects have started to use the technology in developing countries because of the benefits with biogas. Some cases in the establishment of biogas plants have succeeded and some have not. The study is a literature review supplemented by two field studies.

Produktkataloger publiceras och distribueras idag av många detaljhandelsföretag, stora somsmå. Dock har det påvisats att katalogproduktion kan vara både tids- och resurskrävande. Dettaexamensarbete har därför syftat till att finna en lösning på problemet genom att undersökabehov och förutsättningar och därpå utveckla ett verktyg som kan underlätta arbetet med attskapa produktkataloger. Målsättningen var att det resulterande verktyget per automatik skulleframställa en produktkatalog i PDF-format utifrån ett befintligt artikelregister.En förstudie visade att trots olikheter i befintliga produktkatalogers utformning finnsändå vissa gemensamma element såsom produktbild och pris. Detta faktum utnyttjades vidutvecklingsarbetet där det förutsattes att ett artikelregister, oavsett typ av datakälla, alltidinnehåller vissa informationselement som kan publiceras.

As the field of marketing becomes increasingly competitive, creative tools to reach the intended consumer needs to be utilized. In order to break through the crowded airways and packed ad space, one can choose to direct the message through channels that relate to currenttrends in society, while using innovative artistic concepts. The fundamental purpose behind this report is to provide a roadmap for creating a successful and unique marketing campaign. In addition, we have attempted to identify how visual methods can add valuable attributes to the campaign, ensuring a more progressive and distinct impression. To illustrate our claims, we have chosen to analyze Wasabröd?s latest marketing effort, ?Change Bread,? by dividing it into three sections, including planning, execution, and the visual creation.

This study investigates the individual usage of the Dublin Core metadata format in three Swedish Subject Based Information Gateways, SAFARI, Svenska miljönätet and Svesök. The authors also present the reader with an overview of the metadata concept and explains in particular the Dublin Core Element Set. The approach to the study is investigation of Dublin Core application from the viewpoint of three major issues, user friendliness, interoperability and quality control. The study includes an in-depth comparison of the three different metadata templates, as well as interviews with people in charge of the metadata production at the respective SBIGs and users of the respective SBIGs« templates. The study shows that the three SBIGs are more similar than they are different.
