PÄverkar GIH:s utbildning i friluftsliv studenterna? : En studie av naturupplevelser hos studenter vid GIH:s lÀrarprogram  

AimThe aim of this study is to examine students' previous experiences of stay in the nature and their experiences of nature in the context of teaching situations in friluftsliv at GIH. It also aims to elucidate how the teaching of friluftsliv at GIH affects their former interpretation about nature. The questions of the study are: What past experiences of stay in the nature elucidate GIH-students? Have the students approach to nature changed according to the education? If yes ? how? What affects students' perception of nature? MethodTo answer the questions, a quantitative approach (questionnaire survey) and qualitative methods (interview study) was used. The qualitative method is based on phenomenology and hermeneutics.

FörestÀllningar hos patienter med Diabetes Mellitus Typ 2

Background: Type 2-diabetes is now a public health problem, which constitutes 85-90 percent of diabetes care. The district nurseÂŽs role in treating a diabetic (/person with diabetes) does not only comprise pure medical treatment but also support, advice and training to the individual. In our profession as nurses, we have found that medical knowledge in patients with Typ 2-diabetes is not always enough to obtain changes in lifestyles.Aim: The purpose of this study was to investigate the illness perceptions in patients with Type 2-diabetes and their impact on health behavior.Method: This qualitative study used grounded theory as a method. Results: The informants described in the interviews, their perceptions of living with Type 2-diabetes. The analysis revealed the main category periodic health behavior built up on and related to five categories developed in data: preventive health awareness, guilt, confidence in medical treatment, motivational problems and periods of insight.Conclusion: This study contributes to understanding of patients with Type 2 - diabetes their beliefs about illness and how it affects everyday lives.Keywords: Believes, District nurses, Groundey Theory, Illness perception, Type 2-diabetes.

Vad var egentligen problemet? : en analys av SOU FramtidsvÀgen och Àmnesplanen i historia

The aim of this study is to analyze how problems are represented within SOU 2008:27. Further more, the aim is to analyze how the new subject plan for history can bee seen as a product of this document. The method used, and the theoretical frame of the study, is based on Carol Lee Bacchi?s ?whatŽs the problem represented to be?? approach, which basic principle is that policies are filled with representations of problems and that these representations need to be examined. These problem representations are then themselves subject for scrutiny, the second step being an analysis of the texts presumptions and assumptions concerning view of man and perception of knowledge. The results show, among other things, that a problem representations can be found in the SOU; the school system is too vague and unclear.

Demographic and political changes in developed counties have resulted in changed demands on the care of the elderly. The elderly are discharged from hospital earlier and this results a significant responsibility on the elderly themselves and their relatives. Often the relatives are engaged in the elderly?s health problems, care needs and the future consequences the current situation results in for the elderly and the domestic life.

The starting point for this master thesis was the product of the company "HumlegÄrden", which allows its tenants in office buildings to follow their electricity consumption in real time, through their Smartphone's. The idea that resulted from that application is to investigate if it is possible to direct the tenants in office buildings to reduce their energy consumptions, but also to be satisfied with the indoor environment. This work addresses the factors which are the main energy consumers in office buildings. It addresses legal requirements and standards which are important to follow in order to achieve good thermal comfort in buildings. Some of them are physical climate factors like thermal environment, air quality and lightning.

Social isolering. En studie om a?siktspolarisering och normativ press i sociala medier

The purpose of this study was to look for tendencies that social media can contribute to exposing users to a stronger perception of opinion polarization, and further to see if the daily presence of social networking sites can put normative pressure on the users. The study was made using a survey with participants from Umea? University during the time frame of november-december 2014. The theoretical framework behind the study was mainly drawn from The Spiral Of Silence by Elisabeth Noelle-Neumann and was further supplemented with more current research, studying the effects from The Spiral Of Silence in the modern and more fragmented media landscape that exists now then when her theory was written. Further theoretical tools for analysis of the results came from Michel Foucault and his discussions in Discipline and punish, specifically his views on how surveillance can be discontinous in practice, but still permanent in it?s effects.The results of this study indicates that social media users tend to isolate themselves from uncomfortable opinions, and do not follow or read opinions they do not already agree with.

Vad sÄg du? : En uppsats om produktplacering

I allt högre utstrÀckning vÀljer konsumenter att undvika TV-reklam som företag exponerar dem för, alternativet har sÄledes blivit att integrera produkter och varumÀrken i TV-serier för att göra den omöjligt för konsumenter att zappa bort. Denna uppsats syftar till att undersöka produktplacering i TV-serier och vilka faktorer i marknadskommunikationsprocessen, individers perception och kognition som företag bör ta i beaktning nÀr de anvÀnder sig av produktplacering för att exponera sitt varumÀrke.Genom att be ett antal respondenter se ett avsnitt av en svensk TV-serie och sedan besvara frÄgor relaterade till produktplacering och avsnittets innehÄll, urskiljs de faktorer som ligger till grund för erinran av varumÀrken.Resultatet visar pÄ att bruset i marknadskommunikationsprocessen inte pÄverkar respondenterna i den grad teorin beskriver och den enda faktorn dÀr samband uppvisades rörde individens sinnesstÀmning. Dessutom fann vi att respondenterna uppmÀrksammade varumÀrken i högre utstrÀckning om dessa var integrerade i handlingen, verbalt exponerades samt om det exponeras bÄde verbalt och visuellt. Det visades Àven att respondenternas intressen var korrelerade med vilka varumÀrken som uppfattades samt att varumÀrken som exponerades vid upprepade tillfÀllen lÀttare kunde urskiljas. Företag bör dÀrför ta dessa undermedvetna faktorer i beaktning nÀr de anvÀnder sig av produktplacering som marknadsföringsmedel..

Klickers ur ett studentperspektiv : Studenters uppfattning av klickers vid Uppsala universitet

Audience responese technology (ART) often called clickers are becoming more common, not only internationally but also at Swedish universities. No direct Swedish research has been identified, this is however a major area of research internationally. There is both research on clickers positive effect on study results and how students feel about using clickers. This study has taken a Swedish translated version of Cheesman, Winograd, and Wehrman?s (2010) survey to investigate how perception of clickers differ between students in Disciplinary Domain of Medicine and Pharmacy and Disciplinary Domain of Science and Technology.
