Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka hur Aftonbladet och Expressen framställer händelserna kring Saabs kris och konkurs som skedde år 2011.Teorin och metoden som används i uppsatsen är en retorisk analys. De moment som huvudsakligen ligger till grund för den retoriska analysen är språket och de angreppsvinklar som journalisten använder sig av för att övertyga sina läsare.Materialet består av artiklar från Aftonbladet och Expressen gällande det som har skrivits om Saabs kris och konkurs under år 2011. Urvalet har gjorts genom att välja ut 30 stycken artiklar från de två kvällstidningarna genom att göra ett nedslag varje månad och plocka ut artiklar som lyfter upp viktiga händelser kring krisen.Huvudresultatet är att nyhetsrapporteringen pendlar mycket mellan hopp och förtvivlan. Ena stunden låter det som att allt ska lösa sig och att man inte behöver oroa sig längre medan man nästa stund kan läsa om att nu är slutet nära. Det är helt enkelt en resa som pendlar mycket mellan hopp och förtvivlan..

Denna uppsats strävar efter att undersöka kvällstidningarna Aftonbladet och Expressens rekryteringsmetoder och på detta sätt göra läsaren uppmärksam på vilka vägar som finns in på dessa tidningsredaktioner.Vi anser att det råder en osäkerhet hos personer som vill arbeta som journalister kring vad som egentligen krävs av dem och vad som värdesätts av en rekryterare. Vad ska en ny journalist ha packat sin ?journalistiska ryggsäck? med under utbildningens gång och vilka kvaliteter måste han eller hon ha för att sticka ut i konkurrensen om platserna på en tidningsredaktion? Spelar journalistutbildning någon roll? Är en person med journalistisk utbildning mer intressant än en person utan?Vi kan efter vår undersökning konstatera att vägen in på kvällstidningarna Aftonbladet och Expressen inte alltid har samma form och utseende. Det finns inte en väg, det handlar inte om två vägar. Vägarna in på tidningsredaktionerna är betydligt fler och ser olika ut.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the narrative in You are a bad man, mr Gum! to be able to understand and explain the intermedial aspects of the work. I assume an intermedial, narratological and reception theory perspective in my analysis. The method of close reading is used combined with a reader-oriented perspective. I examine the medial aspects of the chosen work through the pictures, the text, and the iconicity of the typographical pattern of the text. To reach my goal, the following questions are dealt with: What is the character of the narration? How do the various media interact in the production of meaning? What is the relationship between the text and the implicit reader? What is the narratological difference between reading the book aloud and silently? The theoretical framework f the paper consists of narratological and intermedial theories.

Denna uppsats syfte är att undersöka hur de danska tidningarna Berlingske och Ekstra Bladet samt de svenska Expressen och Svenska Dagbladet rapporterade och diskuterade om attentatet mot Charlie Hebdo i Paris den 7 januari 2015 veckan efter händelsen. Uppsatsen syftar till att besvara följande frågeställningar: Hur skiljer sig de fyra tidningarna åt i hur de valt att publicera bilder på och ur Charlie Hebdo? Hur ser förekomsten av värdeord ut i de fyra tidningarna kring yttrandefrihet, pressfrihet och extremistisk islamism, i samband med attentatet? På vilket sätt diskuteras yttrandefrihet kontra extremistisk islamism i nyhets- respektive opinionstexter? Vad finns det för tankar bakom publicistiska val och pressetik i samband med Charlie Hebdo-rapporteringen?Resultaten visar att de danska tidningarna använder värderande ord i större utsträckning än de svenska. Det gäller både om orden används i positiv eller negativ kontext.  De visar också att tidningarna gjort olika värderingar när det gäller publicering av omslag samt karikatyrer kopplade till Charlie Hebdo.

Min uppsats Från fondhot till borgerligt grå visar några intressanta aspekter på det politiska språket i Aftonbladet och Expressen under de sista veckorna innan valen åren 1982 till och med 2002. Från att någon-ting upplevs som ett hot till att någonting (annat) upplevs som grått pekar onekligen på en drastisk dimensionsförskjutning i språkbruket.Uppsatsen visar dels skillnader i språkbruket över tid i respektive tidning, dels hur frekvensen för de undersökta orden förändras över tid.Av de tolv ord jag undersökt, demokrati, frihet, jämlikhet, rättvisa, solidaritet, samhälle, välfärd, medborgare, icke-socialist, borgare, borgerlig samt löntagarfonder, är borgerlig det med flest belägg och dessutom av starkt blockskiljande karaktär. Från att de borgerliga själva vacklat inför att använda ordet, använde man det under valet 2002 (och senare under valet 2006) som ett positivt samlingsbegrepp på fyra partier. Det närbesläktade ordet borgare upplevdes sannolikt av båda tidningarna som alltför ideologiskt skarpt och har följaktligen få belägg.Ordet löntagarfonder användes med få undantag endast 1982 och då huvudsakligen i Expressen, en företeelse värd att notera eftersom lön-tagarfonderna var ett vänsterprojekt. Liksom ordet löntagarfonder har ordet icke-socialist försvunnit från ledarartiklarna.
