Den tekniska analysen, syftar till att utifrån ett företags historiska kursutveckling, söka prognostisera en framtida trend för aktien. Grundtanken är att människor i grupp tänker och agerar på liknande sätt när de befinner sig i en viss situation och att dessa gruppbeteenden resulterar i mönster, som den teknisk aanalytikern menar går att tolka. Tekniken sträcker sig tillbaka till 1800-talet och användsflitigt idag av såväl mindre som större investerare och aktörer på de finansiella marknaderna.En av många tekniker inom teknisk analys fokuserar på glidande medelvärden av olika längder och kombinationer. Enligt teorin uppstår köp- respektive säljsignaler när dessamedelvärden korsar varandra.

Beredskapsenheten på länsstyrelsen i Värmland driver ett projekt om risk och sårbarhetsanalyser i länet som benämns ?Säkerhet i Värmland?. Detta examensarbete studerar skogsbränder utifrån ett riskperspektiv och är ett led i projektet. Målen med studien är att åstadkomma en riskmodell för skogsbränder som kan användas vid planering på lokal- och regional nivå i samhället. Studien delas upp i två delar.

Media and social media have been proved to occupy an increased amount of time in people's everyday lives and affect how individuals interpret reality. This phenomenon is referred to as the medialization and its implications on organizations and their members become important to understand. The purpose of this study was therefore to examine how members of an organization under intense scrutiny from the media are affected by this exposure in their everyday work. To gain knowledge about the area a qualitative case study was performed on the Swedish train operator SJ AB - one of the most media exposed organizations in the country. A theoretical framework is developed for the study and discusses organizational identity, stigmatization and motivation.

Caran has a strong belief that women leaders affect the financial profitability positive. Since women leaders are intangible resources it is very difficult to calculate its exact value. The authors found that one of their measurement methods can’t be used to calculate the value of women leaders. The other measurement method can calculate significance between women and men leaders and provides an index to be compared to other groups. But there is no prove that women are better creating value than their men colleagues, the figures indicate that women add more value due to their lower wages.

SEB Merchant Banking provides to its institutional customers a true market neutral product called Dynamic Manager Alpha (DMA). The DMA is constructed by a long position in an exceptionally well performing mutual fund and a beta adjusted short position in an appropriate index. The key to making the product market neutral is adjusting with the correct beta, since the beta changes, it is very important to have a good model for predicting beta in the future.This master thesis begins with describing what beta is in a CAPM sense. It then continues with recognizing the so called ?Two Beta Trap?, which separates two kinds of beta.

Bakgrund: I Sverige ställer lagen högre krav på de bedömningar som görs av arbetsförmåga än vad som kan genomföras med dagens befintliga bedömningsinstrument. I samband med att begreppet arbetsförmåga började användas växte WAI (Work Ability Index) fram och började användas i Finland under 1980-talet. WAI används på både grupp- och individnivå för att bedöma befintlig och framtida arbetsförmåga i relation till nuvarande arbete. Syfte: Att undersöka vilken betydelse WAI har i Finland för att identifiera tidiga tecken på ohälsa hos arbetstagare samt hur resultatet kan användas i utformandet av insatser/interventioner. Metod: För att kunna ta del av upplevelser kring användandet av WAI genomfördes sex intervjuer med personal inom den privata företagshälsovården i Finland.

This study is about how a swedish brand within the food industry that experiences a crisis following a product failure. It focuses on three areas following the crisis and these are crisis management, recovery strategies and brand management. This study seeks to explain how these areas interact in relation to massive exposure to mass media and how they interact restore the brand's potential loss of reputation. This study was conducted as a case study with a deductive and qualitative approach. The data gathered to this study was mainly based on newspaper articles and complemented with semi-structured interviews with twelve local retailers of the brand..

Research about strip roads and wind damage is very limited. It is commonly known that the trees next to the strip roads more often fall whit heavy winds, and the purpose of this thesis was to verify this statement. Data was collected from first- and second thinnings at Boxholms Skogar AB, Östergötland. In first thinnings data was collected from both spruce and pine stands and second thinnings only data from spruce stands was collected.

The purpose of this essay was to overview the conflicts regarding the exhibition space (Kunsthalle) Tensta Konsthall during 2003 and 2004, in order to gain an understanding of the following: why the conflict started, if anyone exceeded their authority, how the case has been reviewed in the press, what kind of value judgements lay behind the actions and why this case has received so much attention. By studying mainly press material and political documents it has been made clear that Tensta Konsthall?s location in an ill reputed suburb of Stockholm has been the cause for its exposure to different demands and expectations compared to other similar exhibition spaces. Då bostadssektorn står för en stor del av Sveriges energianvändning kan stora förbättringar göras där. För att kunna se om genomförda åtgärder ger det önskade resultatet måste någon form av uppföljning ske. Oavsett vilken metod som väljs för uppföljning är det av stor vikt hur baslinjen, dvs. energianvändningen innan åtgärderna genomförs, bestäms.

This study was performed in order to investigate the difficulty in diagnosing retrobulbar disease with ultrasound. A retrospective study was accomplished to investigate the use of ultrasound in patients with suspected retrobulbar problems, and how often the examination is diagnostic. The computer based patient files, at the University of Agricultural Science in Uppsala, were searched for dogs with suspected retrobulbar disease. During 1999-01-01-2004-04-14, 14 patients fulfilling the search criteria were found. The patient records were studied, and the written reports from the ultrasound examinations were compared with the printed pictures from the examinations.

The purpose with this essay was to examine how the European Union is working totransfer norms to states they signed an agreement with and provide support for inframe of the Barcelona process and the Tacis programme. The theory which weused was Ian Manners (PhD in Political Science) theory of "the EU as a uniquenormative power". The aim was to examine whether the EU - which Manners mean- has had a normative power to influence states to change. We used a qualitativeapproach through the use of a multiple case study and qualitative text and contentanalysis. The States which formed the basis of our study were within the BarcelonaProcess; Morocco and Tunisia as well as Azerbaijan and Armenia funded by theTacis programme.
