As reptiles are becoming more common as patients in veterinary clinics, there is a need for creating new procedures regarding the care of exotic pets. The aim of this study was to develop a wound care routine adapted to reptiles, which can be used independently by a veterinary nurse due to the absence of prescription drugs or surgical techniques. The study was conducted by compiling the available research regarding wound care in reptiles, as well as research from related fields. The result indicates that polyurethane films and chlorhexidine-alcohol may advantageously be used on these patients. Hydrocolloid dressings and silver sulfadiazine dressings have adverse effects on wound healing and should not be used routinely in reptiles.

This paper examines, through questionnaire, how young students in upper secondary school in Malmo experience social integration. It also contain what they think should be done in order to improve the integration between youth that are ethnic Swedish and youth that have a foreign background. To understand the subject we started with a review over Swedish integration politic and its influence over Malmo and social integration in the country. We have used such theoretical starting points as identity and ethnicity in relations to the social surroundings, social affinity theory and flexible mindedness, making of groups among youth and factors to promote social integration. Our conclusion is that the experience of social integration between the two groups depends on how you experience yourself.

Inledning/Bakgrund: Anhöriga till personer i palliativ vård tar ofta på sig rollen som anhörigvårdare och en sjuksköterska kommer med stor sannolikhet att möta dessa personer. Därför kan det vara av stor betydelse att som sjuksköterska veta hur anhörigvårdare upplever sin vardag. Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva upplevelsen av att vara anhörigvårdare i palliativ vård. Metod: En litteraturöversikt har genomförts med en induktiv ansats. Dataanalys har utgjorts av artiklar med kvalitativ design, samt mixad metod, då det stämde överens med examensarbetets syfte. Dataanalys har gjorts utifrån Fribergs femstegsmodell. Resultat: Huvudfynd från 17 artiklar presenterades i tre huvudkategorier: När livet vänds upp och ner, Kommunikation och relation samt Stöd till anhörigvårdaren, med sju tillhörande subkategorier. Resultatet visade att positiva och negativa upplevelser av att vara anhörigvårdare började när personen tog rollen som anhörigvårdare.

Palliativ vård innebär ett förhållningssätt som bekräftar livet och ser döden som en normal process och som en viktig slutpunkt av livet. Den palliativa vården bör omfatta symtomkontroll, samarbete av mångprofessionellt arbetslag, god kommunikation samt stöd till närstående. Palliativ omvårdnad ställer höga krav på sjuksköterskan, inte minst vad gäller kommunikativa färdigheter. Syftet var att beskriva sjuksköterskors erfarenheter av kommunikation med patienter i palliativ vård. Metoden som valdes var en litteraturbaserad studie.

Bakgrund: Att ha ett barn med Downs syndrom, betyder ofta en regelbunden kontakt med vården, på grund av hälsoproblem som kan bero på syndromet. Ett bra möte är viktigt för alla, men troligen är det viktigare för dessa familjer. Syftet var att belysa hur föräldrar till barn med Downs syndrom upplevde möten då de sökte vård för sitt barn. Metod: Data insamlades genom intervjuer med sex föräldrar. Intervjuerna blev inspelade och därefter transkriberade.

The purpose of this paper is to contribute to better understanding of the importance of social support for physically active individuals' experiences of training residence following an injury.The physical activity's impact on public health is well known. Increased physical activity also increases the risk of suffering an injury related to physical activity. The importance of social support for those individuals who suffer an injury related to physical activity is where increased knowledge is needed.Four interviews to were conducted using a thematic interview guide with the following themes: The experience of the training break, two sides of social support, several ways of dealing with the experience, the design of the support, Varied support providers relationship changes. The most important property of the individual who gave support was an experience similar to that of the injured individuals underwent. That, combined with the close relationship with the individual who gave support was seen as crucial to the experience of the social support role for the injured individual.The Conclusion was that social support is important for the experience of a break from exercise due to an injury related to physical activity..

The purpose of this study was to examine how the social services are applying the sections of the law concerning custody transfer within foster care. More specifically the aim was to find out what circumstances are underlying the social services decision to go through with a custody transfer within the foster care, and to find out which difficulties and possibilities the law offers when it comes to this process. The study was based on interviews with six respondents, within the social services, who have great experiences working with these issues. The study concluded that there are several factors which affects the decision whether to implement at custody transfer or not, and some of these are the child?s attachment, the child?s fundamental needs and consent from the involving parties in the case.

The purpose with this essay is to examine if the Swedish government?s intentions regarding to the mental health care reform, have been fulfilled. We have classified the intentions into three categories, regulation, financing and responsibility for organizing the policy. The intentions have then been compared with the results of the reform.Our theoretical framework starts with a model, developed by Evert Vedung (1998). We use this model as a tool to examine the fulfillment of the mental health care reform.
