Background: Overweight in children is a growing problem around the world. Studies has shown that children suffering from overweight, are at a greater risk to remain overweight as adults as well. Child health care nurses have an important task by trying to motivate parents to better diet and exercise habits for their children. Previous research proves that overweight and obesity in children is a very complex problem which requires a good caring relationship between child health care nurses and parents.Purpose: The purpose of the study was to illuminate the experiences of child health care nurses of meeting parents of overweight children.Method: An inductive qualitative approach was used as method. The collection of data was conducted by using semi-structured interviews.

Bakgrund: Palliativ vård är ett förhållningssätt som syftar till att främja livskvalitet hos patienter och deras närstående när de drabbas av problem som kan uppstå vid livshotande sjukdom. Många döende önskar att få vårdas i hemmet och utvecklingen av den palliativa vården har lett till att allt fler människor också avlider i det egna hemmet. Närstående är en central del i den palliativa vården i hemmet och det beskrivs att de är i en utsatt situation när de tar på sig dubbla roller i att både finnas där som partner, vän eller familj samtidigt som de tar på sig ansvar att vårda den sjuke i hemmet.Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva närståendes upplevelse av palliativ vård i hemmet.Metod: En litteraturöversikt har genomförts med sökning i databaserna SwePub, PubMed och PsycINFO. Åtta vetenskapliga artiklar, samtliga kvalitativa och baserade på forskning från Sverige inkluderades för resultatet. Artiklarna var publicerade mellan 2003 och 2014.Resultat: Resultatet presenteras i fyra huvudteman; Upplevelse av ansvar, , upplevelse av att närståendes egen situation påverkas, upplevelse av den kommande förlusten och upplevelse av stöd från vårdteam och omgivningen.

Syftet med denna studie är att belysa hur närstående till personer som vårdas palliativt upplever stödet de får från sjukvårdspersonal. Frågeställningarna i studien bygger på två centrala frågor. Vilket stöd upplever närstående att de får och hur upplevde närstående detta stöd? Den metod som har använts i detta arbete är litteraturstudie. Tio vetenskapliga artiklar användes som gav svar på frågeställningarna.

The purpose of my study was to examine a competence-development in care of older people in which some of the personnel have been ?spjutspetsar?. More specifically my aim was to investigate how the personnel managed to supervise others in the organization. My main research questions were: How do the care-managers and the care-workers persecute their functions as ?spjutspetsar?? What form has the internal meeting between the competence-development and the organization ideology taken? What possibilities and obstacles have the care-managers and care-workers been confronted? In my study my research method is based on eight qualitative interviews.

 Aim. To describe patients who have got a recommendation by a telenurse to visit the emergency department and how many of these patients could have received care in the primary health care instead. Further on, the aim was to describe if there are patients not following the recommendations.Methods. Quantitative, descriptive study, with an examination of medical records of the patients, which the telenurses recommended to visit the emergency department, during one week. Assessments whether the patient could seek medical care at the primary health care was made, firstly based on the telenurses documentation and secondly on both the telenurses and the emergency department´s documentation.Results.

Previous research and patient complaints to the Swedish Patient Support Committee shows that there is a lack of substance in the patient-nurse relationship. This may suggest that it can be difficult for health care to live up to health-care law which requires it to be of good quality, based on dignity and respect and designed so that the patient is an active participant and can make their own decisions when it comes to their health care. For a better understanding of what a dignified patient-nurse relationship is, this study aims to clarify what the patient values as good patient-nurse relationship and describe how they have experienced the patient-nurse relationship during their stay at an emergency care department. The study is a descriptive cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach, where the population consisted of patients who were cared for at an emergency care department in the County of Västmanland, Sweden during 2007. The sample consisted of 93 patients which were asked to answer a questionnaire.

Backround: Many studies indicate that people with mental illness often suffer from physical illness. Many people with mental illness do not exercise even though they often have knowledge about the benefits of physical activity. Studies suggest that psychiatric patients have the desire to have an everyday life with more content. It is apparent in studies that healthcare professionals believe that it is the patients' own responsibility to keep themselves physically active.Aim: The primary objective with this study is to examine motivation and possible obstacles to exercise for persons with self-perceived mental illness and experience of psychiatric care. The secondary objective is to investigate how psychiatric care may be of importance to people with mental illness when it comes to exercise.Methods: Semi-structured interviews.

The purpose of this study was to examine how young managers (26-32 years old) in municipal old-age care organizations, in Skåne and Blekinge, experience their professional roles as managers in relation to their age. One of the questions asked in this study was whether managers experienced that their age affected their managerial position, and in that case, how? In order to investigate this, a qualitative method was used, including interviews and observations. Seven interviews with young managers were conducted. My approach in the working process was influenced by Grounded theory as defined by Glaser and Strauss (1968).

Middle managers in social care find themselves in a middle position. The middle management position involves demands from several interested parties. The demands affect and generate feelings both within themselves and within others and the middle managers have to deal with them all.The aim of this study was to investigate the social care middle manager?s personal experiences of emotions in work.We have completed interviews with four middle managers who are assigned to carry out social care. When doing the interviews we used an interview guide divided into different interview areas.

Huvudansvaret för omvårdnaden i hemmet hamnar på de anhöriga eftersom de befinner sig närmast den sjuke patienten. För att sjukvården ska kunna stötta de anhöriga på bästa sätt är det viktigt att få kunskap om hur de anhöriga upplever sin livssituation. Syftet med studien var att beskriva hur anhöriga upplever hemsituationen då en cancersjuk anhörig vårdas palliativt i hemmet. Metod: Beskrivande litteraturstudie baserad på vetenskapliga artiklar som söktes i Medline och Cinahl.

Genom att studera ord får forskaren reda på den egentliga betydelsen och den allmänna definitionen. Syfte: Att klargöra och definiera begreppet palliativ. Metod: Begreppsanalysmodell av Walker och Avant (1995). Studien är byggd på vetenskapliga artiklar, ordböcker och lexikon. Resultat: Ur den lexikala och litterära analysen växte studiens kärna fram, attributen. För att begreppet palliativ skall kunna infrias krävs det obotlig sjukdom, tillfällig hjälp, lindring och stöd.

The aim with the literature study was to describe how persons with dementia and health care workers in the geriatric care experiences soft massage and to describe the derived effects for persons with dementia. Scientific articles were sampled from the databases: Medline (Pub Med), Cinahl and Psyc INFO. The main results of the study are presented in three parts: how persons with dementia experiences soft massage, health care workers experiences of giving soft massage and the health care workers descriptions on derived effects on persons with dementia. The results showed that persons with dementia experienced a positive reaction to soft massage and the health care workers did no longer feel helpless in their care service towards persons with dementia. The studies showed that soft massage decreased agitation, wandering, pain and sleeplessness.
