Syftet med denna studie var att utforma och reliabilitetspröva enkätfrågor om äldre personers attityd till styrketräning. En enkät bestående av 47 frågor och påståenden delades ut till 31 äldre (60-81 år) personer som fick besvara enkäten vid två separata tillfällen. Varje enskild fråga analyserades för test-retestreliabilitet på tre olika sätt: 1/ Intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC) 2/ Absolut reliabilitet med 80% respektive 95% konfidensnivå samt 3/ Proportion of agreement (PA) med PA% och PA ±1%. Enligt gränsvärden som sattes för acceptabel reliabilitet hade 16 frågor ett värde på ICC <0,50, 11 frågor ett pa(%) <60%, 16 frågor ett värde &lt;80% på pa ±1%, nio frågor en absolut reliabilitet av =>2,0 vid 95% säkerhet och 12 frågor en absolut reliabilitet =>1,5 vid 80% säkerhet. Dessutom visade analysen av absolut reliabilitet att det för 2/3 av frågorna krävs två skalsteg för att påvisa en skillnad vid 95% säkerhet.

Wind power is a growing energy sector in Sweden. However, it still represents only a small part of the total electricity production, about 0.7%. In order to create good conditions and to facilitate the establishment of wind power in Sweden, the government has for example, created a national centre for wind use. The objective has been to reach the governmental goal, which is an expansion of wind power by 10 TWh by year 2015 compared to the level in 2002. The Swedish electricity market was deregulated in 1996 which refers to the introduction of a competitive market in electricity production and trade.

The cost of forwarding corresponds to about one tenth of the forestry industries raw material cost. This gives a motive to do good follow-ups to get a good overview of the forwarding distance and, thus, enable improvements. Follow-ups are also justified by the possibility to make more accurate calculations of the harvesting costs, if better estimations of forwarding distance are achieved. Today (2009) Stora Enso has GPS and vehicle-computers in most of their forwarders. These are used mainly for the forwarder to follow the tracks of the harvester and for the planning leader to see how the forwarder has been driving within the stand.

The design of the building envelope affects the energy consumption of a building. As the energy requirements for new buildings are becoming more demanding, the performance of the building envelope must be improved. Energy efficiency and durability are important attributes to consider.This report includes investigations of the building envelope, moisture and passive solar energy. It is based on the analysis of two different buildings with different designs. These buildings stand as reference for two of the companies who are working on a new, climate smart, residential area in Uppsala, Sweden.Studies and analyses on energy consumption and moisture transportation were made.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka om det finns någon skillnad i börskursutveckling på lång sikt (36 månader) mellan företag som nyemitterar och företag som inte nyemitterar. Vi undersöker även om det finns skillnader i börskursutveckling hos de företag som nyemitterar när hänsyn tas till det bakomliggande motivet. Undersökningen är en eventstudie med buy-and-hold-strategi. Vår studie ger inte stöd åt tidigare forskning som säger att företag som nyemitterar utvecklas sämre än matchande företag som inte nyemitterar. Vi finner dock att motivet till nyemissionen har betydelse, då företag som nyemitterar med anledning av expansion/ förvärv utvecklas bättre än företag som nyemitterar för att stärka sin finansiella ställning..

Three methods of sensitivity and unceartainty analysis have been applied to the operative stormwater- and recipient model StormTac. The study area is the watershed of lake Flaten in the municipality Salem. StormTac?s submodels for stormwater, pollutant transport and the recipient are cosidired. In the sensitivity assessment, the model parametres and inputs were varied one at a time by a constant percentage according to the ?one at a time? (OAAT) method and the response of the outputs were calculated.

När produktionen läggs om och företagen nysatsar så är det mycket att tänka på. En ny affärsidé ska arbetas fram och kalkyler beräknas.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka företaget Globalens marknadsorientering och ta reda på hur marknadsorientering fungerar i denna typ av företag. Företaget drivs som ideell förening och saknar vinstintresse, vilket gör att spelreglerna är annorlunda i jämförelse med andra företag. Genom att undersöka företagets grad av marknadsorientering svarar den även på frågan Hur de skulle kunna bli mer marknadsorienterade. Då uppsatsen delvis är skapad på förfrågan från företaget undersöker den även om ökad marknadsorientering skulle underlätta för deras eventuella expansion.Som teoretisk referensram användes främst Kohli, Jaworski och Kumars forskning på området, då den anses som ledande inom ämnet mätning av marknadsorientering. Detta kompletterades med Jobber och Fahys faktorer som påvisar skillnaderna mellan marknadsorientering och produktorientering.

I takt med att samhällets värderingar förändras ändras också synen på stadens historiska, nutida och framtida värden. Hur den rätta avvägningen görs mellan dessa värden är något som dagligen blir aktuellt för dem som jobbar med stadens förändring och utveckling. En avvägning måste ske på ett sådant sätt att stadens alla värden får plats och syns. Värdena måste i sin tur vävas samman till en helhet. Det gäller då att ha en god kunskap vad gäller staden historia och nuvarande identitet men också var staden kommer att befinna sig i framtiden.

For several years Uppsala University together with several companies has been involved in a WISENET project aimed at improving railway transport security. By placing a sensor system near the wheels of each wagon, the temperature of the bearings can be measured and transmitted to a collector placed centrally on the wagon. This in turn transmits the collected data to RFID receivers placed intermittently along the railway.As the signals are transmitted wirelessly, problems may occur as the antennas get dirty or coated with ice and snow. To determine the effects of these coatings, several tests were performed examining the reflection coefficient S11, the impedance Z11 and the efficiency eta of an antenna, and how they varied when various coatings were placed over the antenna. Examined coatings were ice, snow and water to determine the effects of weather, and various metal-based coatings: powdered iron both pure and partially oxidized, and iron ore granules.

Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats ligger i att undersöka hur svenska fastighetsmäklarföretag använder sig av sociala medier i sitt vardagliga arbete. Vi har undersökt hur komponenter så som kundfokus, marknadsföring samt försäljning återspeglas mot företagen i och med deras inträde i de sociala medierna.Metod: Vi har använt oss av en kvalitativ metod i arbetet och det grundar sig på en empirisk studie där vi bearbetat inhämtat material ifrån intervjuer. Vi har även haft en kumulativ inriktning i vårt arbete för att på så sätt få en mer unik aspekt på arbetet.Resultat & slutsats: Resultatet visar på att det finns en stor möjlighet för svenska fastighetsmäklarföretag att använda sig av sociala medier i ett syfte som ligger i att öka försäljningen. I dagsläget anser vi inte att medvetenheten hos svenska fastighetsmäklarföretag gällande sociala mediers betydelse är tillräckligt stor. Dessutom finns inte en insikt om att den förmodade framtida expansionen av sociala medier.

WesDyne TRC är ett helägt dotterbolag till kärnkraftsteknologiföretaget Westinghouse Nuclear och arbetar främst med oförstörade provning och visuella inspektioner av reaktortankar. Inom kärnkraftsindustrin finns ett starkt intresse och behov av att kunna utföra noggranna geometriska uppmätningar inuti en reaktortank. I detta arbete utfördes först en förstudie där lämpliga tekniker undersöktes för att finna den mest lämpade för ändamålet. Den teknik som ansågs ha störst potential var aktiv triangulering med laser. Efter vidare fördjupning inom området utvecklades och konstruerades en prototyp med tillhörande programmering, som därefter testades och verifierades.
