SAMMANFATTNINGCirka 347 miljoner människor lever med diabetes och dödsfallen där sjukdomen är orsakenberäknas öka med mer än 50 procent inom de närmsta tio åren. Typ 2-diabetes är denvanligaste formen av diabetes i världen och omfattar 90 procent av all diabetes. Det är englobal ökning av typ 2-diabetes som har ett samband med minskad fysisk aktivitet och ökningav kroppsvikten. Livsstilsförändringar, som omfattar kostomläggning och ökning av denfysiska aktiviteten, har en avgörande roll i behandlingen av typ 2-diabetes och det krävs ettstort eget ansvar av patienten för att minskar risken för att drabbas av allvarligakomplikationer som exempelvis hjärt- och kärlsjukdomar. Trots att livsstilsförändringar ärviktiga så är oftast följsamheten låg vilket gör att det är viktigt att belysa vilka faktorer sompåverkar följsamheten till livsstilsförändringar.Syftet var att belysa vilka faktorer som påverkar följsamheten till livsstilsförändringar hospersoner med typ 2-diabetesEn litteraturöversikt gjordes utifrån 15 inkluderade artiklar.

Iliotibialt friktions syndrom (ITFS) är en av de vanligaste överbelastningsskadorna som drabbar knäet. Traditionellt har skadan betraktats som ett friktionssyndrom, senare studier har dock hävdat att en kompression av underliggande fettvävnad är orsaken till diagnosen. Etiologin och patologin bakom diagnosen har därmed inte kunnat fastställas. Kliniskt tillämpas stretching, styrketräning av höftabuktorer, neuromuskulär korrigering och myofaschiella behandlingsmetoder i rehabiliteringen av ITFS. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att sammanställa det vetenskapliga underlaget för behandlingsmetoder vid iliotibialt friktions syndrom.

The background of the study consists of the fact that knowledge about how eating disorders are developed and maintained is extensive. Socio-cultural factors and media influence when developing an eating disorder is of significance. When reviewing literature and previous research, knowledge about practical attainments when treating eating disorders are insufficient. The aim of the study was therefore to examine how staff who treats eating disordered patients think about body ideals, strive for success and media influence in treatment and rehabilitation. The theory consists of Foucault?s theory of power, how beauty ideals are dependent of the cultural context in which we live and what qualities are associated with beauty and body ideals.

Prisons are for many an unknown world, and few know about the prison culture which includes unwritten rules, power structures, interactions and relationships between inmates and correctional employees.While many think that Swedish prisons are too comfortable,inmates are facing extreme stress due to surveillance and detention, by depriving inmates their possibility to shape their own lives. When the inmates is deprived of control over their own life?s the penal system have great power to shape and to influence the inmates.The purpose of this paper is to investigate prisoners' experiences of treatment and exercise of power in prisons. Starting point is to examine what are the kinds of relationships between prison officers and inmates from a power perspective, if there is any difference between the closed and open prisons and how the inmates affected by the structures that exist.Based on my overall purpose, and with my informant´s stories which revealed a number of similar points, four main headings were developed; Mass media and society´s view, and unknown world, interaction between inmates and prison officers and consequences.Prison officers with the role as a contact persons as well and other staff which work close to the inmates play a significant role by supporting through motivational interviewing and can help the inmates to gain insight about their life situation and actions. My informant?s underlined that a good contact person can either help or discourage.Inmates who contributed with their experiences express that there is a big difference between open-and closed prisons.

Varje år placeras över 1000 ungdomar inom Statens Institutions Styrelse (SiS), varav ungefär hälften placeras för behandling. Studiens frågeställningar är: I vilken grad uppfattar behandlingsplacerade ungdomar inom SiS att de får hjälp med sina familjeproblem? Finns det synliga samband mellan ungdomarnas könstillhörighet eller etniska ursprung och deras skattade upplevelse av hjälp med familjeproblem under placeringstiden? För att besvara frågorna har kvantitativ arkivdata analyserats, material som vid in- och utskrivning av ungdomar samlats genom strukturerade ADAD-intervjuer (Adolescent Drug Abuse Diagnosis). Studien visar att ungdomarnas upplevelse av hjälp kan delas in i tre kategorier; ?över förväntan? 27%, ?motsvarar förväntan? 41%, ?mindre än förväntat?, 32%.

This study aims to examine the way of teaching swim lessons. In addition, the study also examines the actual swimming proficiency of pupils in the 9th grade in different areas in Sweden.These are the question specifics which this study wishes to examine.How do teachers define the ability to swim?How do swim lessons differ, regarding to which area they are conducted in? How many of the 9th grade pupils in each examined community passes the bar for swimming proficiency?What does PE teachers do if one or several of the 9th grade pupils fails to show an adequate swimming proficiency?How do results in swimming proficiency differ regarding to different schools in different parts of the country?MethodThis study consists of two major surveys, one based on material gathered from qualitative interviews and the other on material gathered from observations. Four PE teachers and one swimming instructor were interviewed, as well as six different 9th grade classes, with a total of 145 pupils. In the observation the pupils participated in a swim test, where they should swim 200 meters from which 50 meters must be on their back and were categorized in three categories.

The purpose of this study was to examine health promotion and ill-health prevention in the workplaces of the City District Committees in the City of Malmö. More specifically, we wanted to find what types of health problems there were and what kinds of strategies were applied to prevent them. Furthermore, the aim was to examine whether the leaders of the City of Malmö saw any effects of the strategies in use and if so, which. Finally, the intention was to compare our empirical results to previous research in the field of health promotion and ill-health prevention in workplaces. We conducted a qualitative study consisting of semi-structured interviews with five leaders in different levels, two personnel secretaries, two employees assigned to improve the health of the personnel in the City Districts, and one safety representative.

Syfte: Att o?ka kunskap om klinisk hypnos inom ramen fo?r familje-/parterapi. Fra?gesta?llningar: I vilken omfattning anva?nds hypnos? Na?r? Av vilka anledningar, samt hur? Metod: Kvalitativ, explorativ. 10 intervjuer har genomfo?rts.Resultat: Inblick ges i systemiskt hypnosarbete, vilket kan utgo?ra fo?rstudie till fortsatt forskning.

Syftet med studien har varit att undersöka hur arbetsterapeuter går till väga för att genomföra en informationsöverföring till alla personliga assistenter hos en brukare samt hur arbetsterapeuter anser att informationsöverföringen till personliga assistenter fungerar. En kvalitativ ansats valdes och informationen inhämtades via intervjuer med 9 arbetsterapeuter i öppenvården i Västmanlands och Gävleborgs län. Resultatet visar att: det är få av arbetsterapeuterna som tycker att informationsöverföringen fungerar riktigt bra. Flertalet anser att det är lättare att nå fram och få en bra kommunikation med de personliga assistenterna om de är intresserade och insatta i sitt arbete. Arbetsterapeuterna beskriver att informationsöverföringen sker utifrån varje enskilt fall och hur många som är närvarande beror på vad som arbetsterapeuten vill informera om.

Inledning: Det finns idag en brist när det gäller forskning kring privata HVB-institutioner. Denna studie ämnar undersöka miljöterapeutiskt behandlingsarbete på HVB-institution. Författaren är intresserad av hur ett anknytningsbaserat behandlingsarbete kan se ut.Frågeställning: Hur skapar behandlingspersonalen förutsättningar för ungdomarnas möjlighet till anknytning?Metod: Genom att göra djupintervjuer med fem behandlingshemsterapeuter om deras arbete i den ostrukturerade miljöterapin, ämnar författaren att bidra till förståelsen och innebörden av anknytningsbaserat arbete på institution. Intervjuerna har analyserats med hjälp av förutbestämda dimensioner tagna från anknytningsteorin.

This thesis explores how Muslim youths? lifeworlds are depicted and narrated in the following two studies on Muslim youth in Sweden and Denmark: Muslima (2007) and Samtidsislam (2010). The aim of this thesis is to answer the following question: In what ways do these works treat the aspects of the lifeworlds that are being highlighted in their studies of Muslim youth in contemporary Sweden and Denmark? An underlying aim is to analyse the results within the framework of theories of socialisation, cultural emancipation and rituals and traditions.With a hermeneutic approach I analyse the texts and operationalize the research question into four themes: the effects of socialization, cultural emancipation, rituals and traditions and secularization. The texts are treated in the analysis with textual analysis and hermeneutic method.

Abandoned and unused railway structures often possess great potential if they are reclaimed and reused for new purposes. The thesis focuses on the global trend of restoring and revitalizing these areas, converting them into park areas, rail trails and green corridors in the city landscape, while preserving their ecological, social, esthetic and historic values. These rail areas were often abandoned when industries moved out from the cities, either to industrial areas or abroad. The use of railways for transporting industrial goods was also replaced to a large extent my motorized road vehicles in the mid 20th century, leaving the rails under-utilized. Because of their location and intrinsic values, they can be reused for important functions, such as green areas in the city environment, providing space for recreational activities and exercise and social meetings and interactions. I have closely investigated the three park areas High Line in New York, Promenade Plantée in Paris and Schöneberger Südgelände in Berlin, which have all gone through this transformation in recent years. I have summarized my conclusions in three key concepts to consider: design for social values, preserve the architectural history, and leave room for future evolution. The final part of my work is a design program for an abandoned railways area in Stockholm: Eriksdal railway area.

This quality study was carried out with seven semi-structured interviews and five of them were with elite women´s football coaches. What has been studied is how elite women?s football coaches are working with injury prevention training to their knees for the women?s football players. An anterior cruciate ligament injury in elite women?s football is both common and serious knee injury.

New technology has created new opportunities for journalists working with web TV. Changes in the work processes have led to new professional roles. According to the theory of media logic such events become news that suits media organizations and working conditions. How does the media logic affect the editorial workflow and how does it affect professional roles? In light of my own experience in various roles in television journalism, I examine how the web TV format shapes the work of journalists.
