Talande tystnader om heder : En analys av socialsekreterares och förvaltningsrättens bedömning genom rättsfall av hedersrelaterade LVU-ärenden
One of the social services primary missions is to protect children from suffering harm. Social service work should work based on the child?s best and have the child's perspective in mind. In all cases involving children, the focus is on the child's needs and interests and is regulated in Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). Both of the previous research and this study reveal the various markers that are evident in the social services handling of honor related cases.
Patienters upplevelser av bemötande vid postoperativ smärta - efter knä eller höftledsarthroplastikPatients experiences of nursing interaction in the context of postoperative pain - after knee or hiparthroplasty
Elective joint surgery increases for every year and the operations are associated with postoperative pain. Postoperative pain is a well known phenomenon and pain physiology and analgesics are well known by caregivers, but the significance of the interaction between patient and caregiver is not illuminated. There are still patients experiencing unnecessary postoperative pain. Among patients in elective surgery, 25% runs a risk for underestimated pain. The aim of the study was to describe patient?s experiences of nursing interaction in the context of postoperative pain during hospitalisation after going through knee- or hiparthropasty.
Prevention och orsaksinriktad behandling av gingivit, parodontit och karies med hjälp av motiverande samtal
Background: Traditional oral health education is seldom enough in order for dental care personnel to motivate their patients to good, long-lasting oral health care habits and there is a need for evaluation of other more efficient methods. One of these methods is motivational interviewing. An overview of its origin, definition, theoretical background and practical methods is given by way of introduction.
Aim: The aim of the investigation was to review studies that had used motivational interviewing in order to obtain oral health, focusing on prevention and treatment of gingivitis, periodontitis and dental caries.
Method: Systematic review. A search question was run through the databases ASSIA, ERIC, PsycINFO, Social Services Abstracts, Sociological Abstracts and PubMed. The articles were reviewed based on defined inclusion and exclusion criteria.
Results: Five publications (based on three studies) met the inclusion criteria.
Aquaculture : animal welfare, the environment, and ethical implications
The aim of this review is to assess the ethical implications of aquaculture, regarding fish welfare and environmental aspects. The aquaculture industry has grown substantially the last decades, both as a result of the over-fishing of wild fish populations, and because of the increasing consumer demand for fish meat. As the industry is growing, a significant amount of research on the subject is being conducted, monitoring the effects of aquaculture on the environment and on animal welfare. The areas of concern when it comes to animal welfare have here been divided into four different stages: breeding period; growth period; capturing and handling; and slaughter. Besides these stages, this report includes a chapter on the current evidence of fish sentience, since this issue is still being debated among biologists.
Naturlig nedbrytning av klorerade lösningsmedel i grundvatten
Chlorinated solvents are common contaminants in soil and water. Under anaerobic conditions microbes are capable of transforming chlorinated solvents into ethylene which would result in a remediation of the contaminated area. In order to use natural attenuation as a remediation method evidence of continuous degradation is required. Furthermore, the degradation must occur at a sufficient rate and continuous monitoring of the site is needed until the demanded levels are achieved. A field study was performed on the basis of data from a dry-cleaning facility contaminated mainly by perchloroethylene.
Salutogent förhållningssätt och ett värdigt liv inom äldreomsorgen
Our study aims to examine whether managers in elderly care are
working from a salutogenic approach to create a dignified life for
the residents. By this we are trying to find out how you look at life
in dignity and what meaning it has, what similarities and what
differences there are. We also want to explore what they want to
achieve with their work and what they do to enable it. The
questions we asked ourselves what the salutogenic approach is for
managers working in nursing homes. How do they look at a decent
life and we ask ourselves the question of the salutogenic approach
is just a "buzzword" in a working man always had or there are real
differences? The method we have chosen to use is a web-based
questionnaire that we sent to our sample.
Är priset ett sätt att påverka mängd frukt och grönsaker i kosten?
Sahlgrenska Academyat University of GothenburgDepartment of Internal Medicine and Clinical NutritionAbstractTitle: Is pricing a way to affect share of fruits and vegetables in a diet?Author: Maria PopovSupervisor: Heléne Bertéus ForslundExaminer: Ingrid LarssonProgramme: Dietician study programme, 180/240 ECTSType of paper: Examination paper, 15 hpDate: May 23, 2013Background: Fruits and vegetables (FV) are important for health, including occurrence of diabetes, obesity and cardiovascular diseases. Said diseases cause most cases of illness and death in high-income countries. Only a small part of the population achieves the FV-intake goal, so a higher FV-intake is desirable. Besides general information campaigns there is another method of influencing what people might buy. Objective: To examine whether different pricing is connected to FV-intake or ?purchase.Search strategy: Databases PubMed, Scopus and Summon were searched with ?vegetable consumption", "price/pricing policy" and "food choice? in different combinations.Selection criteria: Studies performed after year 2000 on at least 18 years old persons from North America, Europe or Australia, examining changes in FV-price and -purchase.
P/E-effekten : En utvärdering av en portföljvalsstrategi på Stockholmsbörsen mellan 2004 och 2012
One could argue that the most discussed topic in finance is whether or not it is possible to ?beat the market?. Even though many people claim to do this, there is little evidence to support the idea that one can consistently beat the market over a long period of time. There are indeed several examples of investors who have managed to outperform the market consistently for a long time, but the efforts of these individuals or institutions could by many be considered to be pure luck. One of the many strategies that have been evaluated by several researchers and is said to generate a risk adjusted return greater than that of the market, is one based on the P/E-effect. This strategy is based on the financial ratio P/E ? price divided by earnings ? and used by constructing portfolios consisting of stocks with low P/E ratios.
Etisk organisationskulturs inverkan på revisionskvalitet i företag
In today's society there is tougher climate both financially and time wise. Accountants working under tight deadlines leading to the compromise between quality and quantity in the audit process and them therefor are being guilty of so-called reduced audit quality, RAQ. Reduced audit quality involves intentional actions designed to somehow reduce the evidence contained in the audit. We examine in this study the impact of time budget pressure (TBP), underreporting of time (URT), ethical organizational culture and charismatic leadership has on the frequency of RAQ.Previous research has already shown that there are clear links between TBP and RAQ, between URT and RAQ and between ethical culture in organizations and audit quality available. Five hypotheses were designed to the study.

Plötslig spädbarnsdöd, ett känsligt ämne : En litteraturöversikt om risker, förebyggande åtgärder och sjuksköterskans roll vid SIDS
Background:The sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) has always existed. In the early 1990's, researchers discovered that prone position was associated with a significantly higher risk for SIDS. This resulted in a lowered incidence of SIDS in the world. The campaign showed the value of risk knowledge and risk reducing methods, that's why new information campaigns about other risks regarding SIDS must occur.Aim:The aim was to describe the risk factors and preventive actions for SIDS, and the nurse's role regarding the preventive work. Method: A literature review based on 16 articles based on qualitative and quantitative studies.
VILKEN STRANDVEGETATION BIDRAR TILL DET ORGANISKA MATERIALET I KUSTN?RA SEDIMENT? Kols?nkor/k?llor, nedbrytbarhet och eDNA sp?rning
Coastal sediments are important carbon sinks, storing organic matter and thereby helping to
reduce the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. However, they can also act as
carbon sources if the deposited organic matter decomposes rapidly, contributing to increased
greenhouse gas emissions and global warming. Rapid decomposition partly depends on the
degradability of the material itself. In this literature review, I examine which coastal plant
species dominate different locations along the Swedish coast, based on coverage data from the
ClimScape project (www.climscape.se). For the most dominant species, I investigated the
type of organic matter they may contribute to the sediments and based on those results I
qualitatively assessed which sites that may function as carbon sinks or sources.
Patientens upplevelser under pågående behandling av ätstörningar : En litteraturstudie
