The society of today is overflowed with information and commercials. There is a thick media noise that the marketers finds hard to penetrate. Bearing this in mind, we can see that Event Marketing, witch is marketing through events, has grown to be a popular form of communication as it has an ability to work its way through the existing media noise. Through events a company can strengthen its brand and image as well as form a lasting relationship with its consumers. What other functions does Event Marketing possess? In what context is Event Marketing an appropriate marketing strategy to use? These are two questions that we aim to answer through this essay.To be able to answer these questions we interviewed the marketing manager of two different companies, L´oréal and TeliaSonera.

Ordet upplevelse används idag av många företag i olika branscher för att beskriva företagets tjänsteutbud. Inom marknadsföring används upplevelser för att tränga igenom det tilltagande mediebruset och för relationsbyggande åtgärder. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka huruvida eventbyråer profilerade inom relationsskapande event marketing använder begreppet upplevelse och vad det har för betydelse för deras verksamhet. Med ett hermeneutiskt förhållningssätt och en induktiv ansats har jag genomfört en kvalitativ intervjustudie baserad på intervjuer med sju eventbyråer. Studien visar att upplevelse som fenomen är en viktig effekt av relationsskapande event marketing, men att det finns en paradox ifråga om användningen och beskrivningen av begreppet.

The goal of this study is to examine how the market reacts when information about the exchange of a CEO becomes public. It also examines factors such as gender and whether the departure was voluntary or not, discerning if the market behaves differently concerning any of these aspects.To achieve this, the study was performed using an event study. The selection consisted of 48 companies on the Stockholm Stock Exchange, who had during the years 2005 to 2008 underwent a change in leading management. These units were submitted to hypothesis tests, to determine if an abnormal return was attained during the event window. The tests were performed on the units as a whole, and divided up after gender and whether the departure was voluntary or not.The results of the study show no statistically significant abnormal return caused by the announcement of a CEO exchange.

The purpose of this report is to study the risk of dust explosions at the candy manufacturing plant Leaf Sverige in Gävle, Sweden. The risk analysis was conducted with a preliminary hazard analysis, PHA and event trees. The analysis focuses only on the risk posed to employees and material damages at the plant. No third person injuries have been considered. Another purpose of this report is to study risk awareness and risk communication concerning dust explosions.

För att genomföra denna undersökning använde vi oss av en kvantitaitv metod, där vi studerade spelartransaktioner och kvalifikationsmomentet till Champions League enligt Event study teknik. Empirins utgörs av börskurser från de fyra klubbarna Bröndby, Celtic FC, FC Köpenhamn och Newcastle United sedan 1998. Vi har använt oss av den halvstarka marknadseffektiviteten, aktieägarbeteende samt förväntningar på aktiemarknaden som teoretisk referensram. Teorin används för att kunna förklara hur aktiekurser kan tänkas reagera på valda händelser.

I referred to the following questions:? How to reflect pre-school teachers on conflict management at the preschool?? What methods / approaches tell teachers that they use in conflict management?? How the children reflect on their experiences on conflict management at the preschool?In the background, Im trying to define the word conflict, and I also point to the methods and models that are already in conflict management. It is clear that a key ingredient in the conflict is communication, the question is how well we communicate with each other?I've done interviews with three active educators and four children to study this subject.

SYFTE: Uppsatsens syfte är att undersöka huruvida uttalanden från Världshälsoorganisationen, gällande första händelsen av att vild¬fågel, hönsfågel eller människa blivit smittad av H5N1 i ett land, har bidragit till abnormala prisrörelser hos aktuellt lands noterade företag med hönsfågelrelaterad verksamhet.METOD: Undersökningen är en event-studie där aktiekurers utveckling har undersökts vid informationshändelser rörande fågelinfluensan. För att estimera en jämförande normal avkastning har vi använt oss av en kombinerad OLS- och ARMA-modellering.TEORETISKT PERSPEKTIV: Den effektiva marknadshypotesen är den grundläggande teorin som använts för att analysera insamlad empiri, som även tillsammans med andra studier inom samma ämnesområde utgör det använda teoretiska ramverket.EMPIRI: 19 informationshändelsers påverkan på aktiekurser har analyse¬rats för att estimera normal och abnormal avkastning. Dessa 19 aktiekurser härstammar från 18 olika företag, belägna i sju olika länder.SLUTSATSER: Undersökningens resultat tyder på att undersökta företags aktiepriser inte påverkats nämnvärt av WHO:s uttalande om att H5N1-viruset spritt sig till respektive företags land. Det finns dock ingen möjlighet att dra några statistiskt signifikanta slut¬satser grundade på undersökningen och dess analyserade empiri..

Då företag idag är utsatta för ständig konkurrens gäller att dessa utformar sin marknadsföring för att passa de preferenser som dess målgrupp innehar och för att tränga igenom det brus dagens mediala samhälle kännetecknas av.Event marknadsföring har de senaste årtiondena uppmärksammats, dock är forskningen inom ämnet relativt ny och således har olika marknadsföringsteorier inte tidigare applicerats på events för att förstå dess genomslagskraft och effekt.Detta resonemang har lett oss till vår problemformulering:  Vilka skillnader och likheter finns mellan företagets och kundernas uppfattning av event marknadsföring?Studiens huvudsyfte är att kartlägga de faktorer som avgör ett events verkan på samtliga deltagare. Inom ramen för detta avser vi identifiera och beskriva de marknadsförings- och kommunikationsteorier som finnes lämpliga för att slutligen kunna ge våra synpunkter till företag som kan leda till en mer effektiv event marknadsföring.Studien är baserad på en deduktiv ansats, där vi testat befintliga teorier mot vekligheten samt hur dessa kan tillämpas på event marknadsföring. Dessa teorier har vi integrerat med varandra för att ytterligare förstå eventets komponenter på ett sätt som vi tidigare inte sett inom forskningen.Den datainsamling som skett under studiens gång är baserad på en kvantitativ metod. En enkätundersökning har gjorts på besökare av events för att skapa bredd i studien.
