This is an essay about the political development of Iraq after the overthrow of the Baath regime by the coalition forces in 2003. Almost seven years later, the political scene is still characterised by chaos, even though the country entered a new phase with the adoption of democratic thinking and a new openness to the world. The unstable political situation is a product of inter-ethnic conflict and the interference by neighbouring countries. Iraq is up against two formidable tasks ? building democracy and building a nation.

Syftet med studien har varit att ta reda på de idéer som unga vuxna (18-24 år) med psykiskt funktionshinder har kring hur en sysselsättningsverksamhet skulle vara uppbyggd och om det är möjligt att någon form av organiserad verksamhet kan hjälpa dem i övergången till vuxenlivet. Metoden som användes var en kvalitativ intervjustudie. Urvalet var fem personer, tre män och två kvinnor, som har kontakt med Stockholms läns landstings öppenpsykiatriska mottagning eller Täby kommuns socialpsykiatriska enhet. Teoretiska utgångspunkter har varit symbolisk interaktionism. I studien kan utläsas att det är viktigt för gruppen unga vuxna med psykiskt funktionshinder att få möjlighet till ett socialt liv utanför hemmet.

I Sverige drabbas varje år omkring 15 000 personer av hjärtstopp. Cirka 10 000 av dessa sker utanför sjukhus och 5 000 på sjukhus. Av de hjärtstopp som sker utanför sjukhus lyckas man rädda endast omkring 500. Av de som får ett hjärtstopp på sjukhus överlever omkring 30-40 procent. Att vara med om ett hjärtstopp är en traumatisk upplevelse som ger nya perspektiv på livet och kan ses som en transition från frisk till sjuk där en individs livsvärld och livskvalitet påverkas.

I detta arbete kommer ett antal speciellt utformade ingjutningsplåtar som används vid anslutning mellan plattbärlag i Abetongs prefabricerade element att analyseras och beräknas vid normal och tvärkraft utifrån gällande normer i Eurokoden. Från och med den första januari 2011 ersätts Boverkets Konstruktionsregler av Eurokoderna vilket innebär att man i dagsläget saknar värden på dessa ingjutningsplåtar hos Abetong. Så för att kunna använda dessa plåtar i sin tillverkning krävs det att de beräknas efter den nya standarden.Genom att beskriva plåtarna utifrån en interaktionsformel för samtidig normal och tvärkraft kan interaktionsdiagram ritas ut för att sedan snabbt kunna avläsas av konstruktör som då får ut ett värde på maximal tvärkraft utifrån antagen normalkraft eller vice versa. Som hjälpmedel för att genomföra detta kommer ett Excel-program skrivas som kan rita ut graferna för varje ingjutningsplåt.Arbetet har avgränsats till att endast titta på stålets egenskaper vilket innebär att eventuella begränsningar hos betongen eller hos kraftöverföringen mellan betongen och armeringen ej kommer att analyseras..

Forskningsresultat når inte alltid ut i vården till patienter och kliniskt verksam personal. Detta kan leda till att den vetenskapliga grund, som vården enligt svensk lagstiftning ska vila på, inte erbjuds. Anledningen till att vetenskapligt belagd kunskap inte når ut kan vara til lexempel avsaknad av kunskap om hur forskningsresultat sprids och om hur resultat kan omsättas till den egna verksamheten. Ett omfattande forskningsfält inom omvårdnad rör samtal, kommunikation och reflektion kopplat till relationen mellan vårdpersonal och patient. Reflektion bör ses som en central företeelse inom vården dels för att förstå patienten dels för att förändring skall komma till stånd.

Introduktion: Att vårda döende patienter och dess anhöriga är komplext och sker dagligen världen över. Palliativ vård innebär att man går från kurativ, botande vård till symtomlindrande vård. Sent palliativt skede innebär vård vid livets slut. Bredvid patienten står ofta en eller flera anhöriga. On the first January 2009 the official animal welfare control were transferred from the municipalities to the County Administrative board. With this transition, some changes occurred for those who work as animal welfare inspectors. The aim for this study was to examine farmers' view on the transition between the municipalities and County Administrative board, in order to compare the two authorities. I have also studied the farmers view about animal welfare inspectors' knowledge, both theoretical and practical. The questionnaire also included questions about farmers' view on animal welfare legislation.

By using univariate analysis, tobit and logit regressions, this thesis investigates determinants of asset writedowns. After controlling for variables indicating reductions in asset values, the results show that changes in senior management are significant in explaining the writedown decision and magnitude, which is in line with previous research. The explanatory power of changes in senior management has not increased with the transition to IFRS in 2005. No evidence is found supporting the hypothesis that the explanatory power of management incentives is higher for more discretionary types of asset writedowns..

Steel is an excellent material to build with, but consideration must be given to the fact that unprotected steel corrodes, rusts, therefore, as a rule, the steel must be protected in some way. This can be done by reducing the tendency of the steel to corrode by using stainless steel or by treating the steel with a protection method. The two most common methods of protection are corrosion protection paint and zinc coating. To determine the method, the corrosive category must first be evaluated and this is done in accordance to EN ISO 12944-2:1998.Stainless steel is available in many varieties but only some of them have properties that make them suitable for use as construction steels. There are many factors to be considered in the design of stainless steel to prevent corrosion from occurring.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine the transition from SAB to DDC in the public libraries of Sigtuna.More specifically, it aims at investigating why the decision was made to adopt the DDC and how the system has been implemented. Particular attention is drawn to the difficulties and problems that have arisen while organising the libraries open shelves with DDC and to the ways in which the difficulties have been handled. These questions are examined through a pragmatic perspective on Knowledge Organization that focuses on the contexts and domains in which the classification system is used. The empirical material is drawn from qualitative interviews with the former director of Sigtuna public libraries and with the in-charge of the catalogue department.                                                                   .

Sedan Ukrainas självständighetsförklaring 1991 har landet arbetat med att reformera sin ekonomi till ett mer marknadsekonomiskt system. Denna process innefattar en mängd olika aspekter att ta hänsyn till som har stora effekter på ekonomin. I denna uppsats har vi valt att analysera en del av de otaliga reformer som finns, nämligen hur väl Ukraina har lyckats med sina skattereformer i syfte att införa marknadsekonomi i landet. Dessutom ämnar vi besvarafrågan vilka effekter som skattereformerna har haft på landets ekonomi med fokus på hur statens intäkter förändrats samt utvecklingen av den makroekonomiska variabeln inflation ochlandets budgetunderskott. För att kunna besvara den förstnämnda frågan har vi använt oss av befintlig teori om den finanspolitiska transformationsprocessen samt analyserat skattebördan, skattestrukturen samt skattesatserna i Ukraina.
