The purpose of this degree project is to clarify how five Kenyan Life Skills teachers discuss about hiv and aids education. Furthermore, to reveal whether the validity claims in their verbal communication refers to facts, morality or personal experiences. This, I will study by examine the teachers knowledge of, and attitudes towards, the disease. The teaching methods they are using and the basis of their validity claims. I have chosen to use semi-structured interviews as method and the theoretical framework is based on Jürgen Habermas theory of universal pragmatics.My result shows that there is a dilemma about whether the respondents knowledge is sufficient or insufficient.

Syftet med den här undersökningen är att ta reda på vilka strategier förskollärare har när de hanterar dilemmat kring att uppmärksamma individen, samtidigt som de ska ta hänsyn till hela gruppen. Läroplanen styr förskollärares arbete och går inte att bortse ifrån, den tar upp att det är förskollärarens uppgift att tillgodose varje enskild individs behov, intressen och förutsättningar. Eftersom det här ses som ett dilemma för förskollärare, anses det som intressant att undersöka vilka strategier förskollärare har för hur de ska gå till väga. Undersökningen utgår från intervjuer då det är det undersökningsinstrument som anses vara lämpligast när det gäller att ta reda på vilka strategier förskollärarna har. Resultatet visar på att det finns många vägar att gå vad det gäller att kunna tillgodose alla individer.

The study aims to examine how censorship and comics have been discussed in three debates. The aim is also to identify discourses and the orders and relations of power constructed in the debates, and to examine how librarians should handle debates about censorship and comics. Selected sources are articles from Swedish newspapers and tabloids about the debates on the Pox-trial, the manga case and the debate about Tintin in Kulturhuset. The results from the analysis indicates that the debates have been dominated by two main discourses: a discourse on freedom of speech and a discourse on social responsibility. Within the discourse of freedom of speech there is a range of perspectives that emphasize: artistic freedom, the need for open and free conversations, a discussion about how the comics are assessed in comparison with other media formats as well as a discussion about moral and moralism.

Syftet med denna uppsats var att utifra?n Berglunds (2001) fyra idealtypiska attityder underso?ka vilka attityder andraa?rselever pa? gymnasiet hade till sitt kommande arbetsliv, med samma utga?ngspunkt a?mnade vi ocksa? att underso?ka vilka attityder arbetsgivare ville se vid en nyrekrytering. Med attityder till arbete avsa?gs individens va?rderingar av vad som var viktigt med arbete. De fyra idealtypiska attityderna innefattade instrumentell-, altruistisk-, individualistisk-, och materialistisk attityd.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur några lärare på gymnasiesärskolans nationella program arbetar med bedömning av elevernas kunskapsutveckling samt hur dessa lärare arbetar för att eleverna ska kunna synliggöra sina kunskaper. Studien baseras på sju halvstrukturerade intervjuer med lärare som undervisar i svenska på gymnasiesärskolan.  Resultatet visar att lärarna använder sig av många olika metoder för att skaffa underlag för  kunskapsbedömning. Samtal, observationer och dokumentation är några exempel. Lärarna arbetar tätt ihop med eleverna och ger konkret, tät återkoppling för att synliggöra kunskapsutvecklingen både för eleven och sig själva. Eleverna behöver mycket stöttning och repetition för att utveckla kunskaper och självständighet i arbetet.

This master?s thesis analyzes how cultural policy was problematized in three governmental policy areas; culturalpolicy for the free sector, education policy and popular education policy, during the social democrat Ragnar Edenman?s time (1957-67) as minister of ecclesiasticalaffairs. Earlier research has examined the policy for the free sector, concerning artist?s economic problems. This thesisadds an analysis of the other fields of policy, which were reformed in the 1960?s by the same ministry.

Palliativ vård blir vanligare i takt med en äldre befolkning och högre prevalens av tumörsjukdomar utan botbar behandling. Lidande är starkt kopplat till palliativ vård vars syfte är att lindra lidande för patienter och närstående. Nutritionsrelaterade problem förstärker patientens lidande och skapar ofta konflikter mellan patienter och närstående.Syftet med studien var att belysa området nutrition vid palliativ vård och öka förståelsen för de nutritionsrelaterade problem som kan uppstå i den palliativa vården och som påverkar patient, närstående och sjuksköterska.Uppsatsen är genomförd i form av litteraturstudie där datainsamling skett i databasen Cinahl samt genom manuell sökning i aktuella tidskrifter för ämnet. Nio artiklar publicerade mellan 2000-2007 har valts ut.Resultatet är sammanställt utifrån tre perspektiv: Patienten, närstående och sjuksköterskan. Under dessa presenteras 15 olika teman.

AbstractThis study explores how well teachers think they succeed in their mission to include children with special needs into their ordinary groups of children. Interviews were carried out with five teachers in practice of the public school (year 2,3,5 and 6). The teachers were asked what support they have got from the schools manager, initially and ongoing, (information, necessary education, supportive expertise personnel, assistant teacher to the child and schoolmaterial.) The teachers were also asked how inclusion is arranged by three indicators of participation: physically, socially (interaction) and didactically -in educational situations of reading and writing. One finding of the study was that inclusion is difficult to arrange if  parents of included children demand secrecy of the diagnosis their child has. Three cases reveal severe problems of acceptance for the included child by the peers.

This paper aims to create a better understanding for how executing private matters during work hours affect the individual worker. In todays world the access to social medias, the Internet and all your friends is easy to access due to smartphones and computers. Prior research as described this both as a threat against the productivity of the worker and the moral of the workplace. While others mean that it is a source of recovery and something positive.This thesis uses a qualitative method and fifteen interviews where conducted with people between 20-30 years, who where working and living in Sweden. The theory of this paper is built on following areas: Time, the line between work and private, together alone, the brain and the affect it has on the dialogue between colleagues.

Ett problem som jag såg när jag var ute på praktik var hur elevernas intresse och inställning till de naturvetenskapliga ämnena för vissa elever är negativa vilket leder till att de inte vill arbeta med ämnena. Tidigare forskning visar att detta intresse och inställning hos barn och ungdomar sjunker med de stigande åldrarna. Syftet med detta examensarbete är att undersöka vilken inställning som eleverna har till de naturvetenskapliga ämnena som undervisas i den svenska skolan. Utöver detta undersöks även vilka åsikter som dessa elever har till vad som ska göras för att de ska få en positiv inställning till dessa ämnen. Denna undersökning genomfördes med en kvantitativ enkätstudie hos fyra klasser med elever i årskurs 9 vid en kommunal skola.

Purpose: The purpose is to examine more closely why the achievement of the environmental goals is so low. To within the thesis work to make this as interesting and with as good quality as possible, especially the environmental quality goal Reduced climate impact, but also Natural acidification and Protective ozone layer, has been chosen to be studied further. Method: A qualitative method and text analysis has been applied. Intervention theory, as Vedung 2009 describes, is used as an intellectual backbone and as a help to structure the essay. The three environmental quality goals correspond cases, or units of analysis. Analysis: The fulfillment of the respective environmental quality goals is analyzed according to its goal, policy instruments, implementation and its effects. To this some of the problems are analyzed that exist on the path to achieve the goals.

After Sweden became a member of the European Union, EU, the debate regarding the Swedish participation in the EU?s currency co-operation, the European Monetary Union, EMU, has been intense. One of the biggest issues has been how our national economic politics will work within such a monetary union. What instrument will remain for the national economic politics within the EMU are highly uncertain. The question whether we will be able to affect our own economy or not has long been the essence in the Swedish debate.

Denna uppsats är en empirisk studie om hur förskolepersonal resonerar och tolkar lekens betydelse för barns sociala utveckling, lärande och miljö.Vårt syfte med denna fallstudie är att undersöka vad förskolepersonalen på tre förskolor och tre förskoleklasser har för uppfattning när det gäller lekens betydelse. Utifrån vår fallstudie där vi har intervjuat sex förskollärare har vi fått deras tolkningar och syn på leken, lärandet och miljöns betydelse för barns utveckling.I undersökningen har vi arbetat utifrån kvalitativa metoder och djupintervjuer. Totalt har sex personer på tre förskolor och i tre förskoleklasser intervjuats och det har endast varit förskollärare. Intervjuerna har transkriberats och analyserats i sin helhet. Resultatet från de sex intervjuerna av förskollärarna visar att det finns många likheter i deras tolkningar av lekens betydelse.

This study investigates and analyzes experiences of discrimination and racism among social work students, focusing on how these issues occur between peers rather than through hierarchical dynamics, such as interactions with faculty. The research aims to shed light on the academic challenges faced by students with foreign backgrounds, as defined by Statistics Sweden (SCB), particularly those who experience discriminatory practices and behaviors within the academic environment. The study adopts a qualitative methodology, utilizing semi-structured interviews to explore the lived experiences of these students. Participants were selected based on their enrollment in social work programs and their identification as having a foreign background. Data was analyzed thematically to uncover recurring patterns and insights into the participants' experiences.

Background: HIV is a worldwide spread disease with many deaths. People with the disease have previously been met with attitudes, stigma and discrimination in various contexts. A caring relationship should be built on empathy, respect and communication, where the patient is not seen as their illness, but as a person. Today, there are laws that are there to protect the patient, however, there is a lack of knowledge about what is current. Health care workers knowledge in the 2000s has improved, but there is still a lack of knowledge.Aim: To illustrate how patients with HIV experience health care.Method: The literature review was conducted with twelve scientific articles of which two articles were quantitative and the other qualitative.Results: The results revealed three main themes; Different expressions of fear, Perceived negative attitudes and stigmatization, as well as The wish to be lovingly treated in health care.
